Sustainability is now a part of all areas of today's society and has become a cornerstone of economic,social,and environmental *** pivotal role means that sustainability has also influenced the innovation *** the last few decades,new innovationrelated concepts linked to sustainable development have emerged in the form of environmental,green,sustainable,and eco-innovations;nevertheless,technological and innovation developments still occur within the boundaries of an innovation *** systems possess unique characteristics that shape activities,actions,and *** separate bodies of literature on eco-innovation and innovation systems are extensive;however,the status of the literature on the intersection of these two topics is less *** study provides an overview of the scientific literature in the area where ecoinnovation and innovation systems meet,and a bibliometric analysis shows that the joint study of eco-innovation and innovation systems is an unexplored knowledge ***,the main authors and documents that provide the foundation of the literature on ecoinnovation and innovation systems were identified,and theoretical knowledge was grouped into four clusters according to thematic areas:Cluster 1 related to eco-innovation;Cluster 2 related to innovation systems;and Clusters 3 and 4,which include the elements that constitute and interact within eco-innovation *** hope that this study will encourage scholars to conduct research on eco-innovation systems,which could have positive implications for the design and implementation of new policies and instruments to achieve sustainable development.

Standalone Solar PV systems have been vital in the improvement of access to energy in many ***,given the large cost of solar PV plants’components,in developing countries,there is a dear need for such components to be subsidised and incentivised for the consumers to afford the produced ***,there is a need for optimal sizing of the solar PV plants taking into account the solar information,energy requirement for various activities,and economic conditions in the off-grid regions in *** study aims to develop optimally sized solar PV plants suited to rural communities in ***,it aims at characterizing the impacts of subsidies and incentives on the profitability and affordability of solar PV plants’energy in *** the study,we have developed a model on basis of which the plant power(peak power)and costs of energy can be predicted given the load requirements using *** model was validated using data corrected at eight different *** generalized predictive model’s results matched the results obtained using field measurement data as *** models have been able to replicate with a by degree of accuracy the peak powers and the plants’costs for different loads and were used to evaluate the economic viability of solar PV plants in *** was found that with incentives and subsidies of 20%,the solar PV systems’costs,the Levelised Cost of Energy would drop from a maximum of 0.098 Euro to a minimum of 0.072 Euro,the payback period was reduced from a maximum of 7.5 years to a minimum of 6.0 years while the return on investments was seen to vary between 425.72 and 615.32 per cent over the plants’lifetime of 25 *** our findings underscore the importance of government subsidies and incentives for solar PV energy generation projects to be significantly profitable.

Effect of protease supplementation on apparent ileal crude protein and amino acid digestibility of over-processed soybean meals in broilers

Background: Nutritional value of proteins in feed ingredients can be negatively affected by hydrothermal processing, which causes large variation in the bioavailability of amino acids(AA) and negatively affects animal productive performance. Supplementation of exogenous proteases could increase the rate of digestion of damaged proteins, thereby increasing overall AA digestibility and bioavailability. The aim was to determine the effect of exogenous protease supplementation on the apparent ileal digestibility(AID) of crude protein(CP) and AA of soybean meals(SBM) with different degrees of hydrothermal processing in ***: The experiment involved a 3 × 2 factorial arrangement, with SBM processing time(commercial SBM or autoclaved for 30 or 60 min at 120 ℃) and protease supplementation(not supplemented and supplemented) as factors. Protease was included at three times the recommended dose(0.06%) and the experimental diets were fed from 15 to 21 ***: The interaction between the effects of SBM processing and protease supplementation was significant for the AID of CP(P = 0.01), Trp(P = 0.01), Gly(P = 0.03) and Pro(P = 0.03), and also for the average daily gain(P = 0.01)and feed conversion ratio(P = 0.04). Increasing the processing time of SBM decreased(P < 0.0001) the AID of all amino acids, whilst the effect of protease supplementation was only significant for the AID of Phe(P = 0.02) and Tyr(P = 0.01).Conclusions: Exogenous protease supplementation at three times the commercial dose does not seem to offset the negative effects of hydrothermal processing of SBM on the apparent ileal digestibility of CP and amino acids or performance of broilers. Whilst positive numerical improvements of digestibility and performance(ADG and FCR)were noticed with protease supplementation at relatively mild processing levels, negative results were obtained with the harsh-processed meals.

Each rock joint is unique by nature which means that utilization of replicas in direct shear tests is required in experimental parameter ***,a method to acquire knowledge about the ability of the replicas to imitate the shear mechanical behavior of the rock joint and their dispersion in direct shear testing is *** this study,a novel method is presented for geometric quality assurance of *** aim is to facilitate generation of high-quality direct shear testing data as a prerequisite for reliable subsequent analyses of the *** Part 1 of this study,two quality assurance parameters,smf and V_(Hp100),are derived and their usefulness for evaluation of geometric deviations,*** reproducibility,is *** Part 2,the parameters are validated by showing a correlation between the parameters and the shear mechanical behavior,which qualifies the parameters for usage in the quality assurance *** results from direct shear tests presenting comparisons between replicas and the rock joint show that replicas fulfilling proposed threshold values of σ_(mf)tured following the process employed in this study phenomenologically capture the shear strength characteristics,which makes them useful in parameter studies.

The circadian clock temporally coordinates plant growth and metabolism in close synchronization with the diurnal and seasonal environmental changes. Research over the last decade has identified a number of clock components and a variety of regulatory mechanisms responsible for the rhythmic oscillations in metabolic and physiological activities. At the core of the clock, transcriptional/translational feedback loops modulate the expression of a significant proportion of the genome. In this article, we briefly describe some of the very recent advances that have improved our understanding of clock organization and function in Arabidopsis thaliana. The new studies illustrate the role of clock protein complex for- mation on circadian gating of plant growth and identify alternative splicing as a new regulatory mechanism for clock function. Examination of key clock properties such as temperature compensation has also opened new avenues for func- tional research within the plant clockwork. The emerging connections between the circadian clock and metabolism, hor- mone signaling and response to biotic and abiotic stress also add new layers of complexity to the clock network and underscore the significance of the circadian clock regulating the daily life of plants.

Given a compact symmetric space, M, we obtain the mean exit time function from a principal orbit, for a Brownian particle starting and moving in a generalized ball whose boundary is the principal orbit. We also obtain the mean exit time flmction of a tube of radius r around special totally geodesic submanifolds P of M. Finally we give a comparison result for the mean exit time function of tubes around submanifolds in Riemannian manifolds, using these totally geodesic submanifolds in compact symmetric spaces as a model.
