The Eastern Desert of Egypt suffered a protracted period of deforma.ion triggered by cratoniza.ion of the new juvenile crust known as the Ara.ian Nubian Shield(ANS),which has been proposed for potential gold discoveries associated with the corresponding tectonic *** Fa.ira area,on the border of Egypt’s Northern and Central Eastern Deserts,is covered with metavolca.ic rocks twisted by a dextral reloca.ion of the Fa.ira Shear Zone(FSZ)rela.ive to the Barud magma.ic *** recent study evaluated many deformed post-orogenic gra.itic intrusions and felsite dikes associated with promising minera.iza.ion loca.ities,notably orogenic gold *** combina.ion of va.ious field observa.ions and remote sensing data,followed by the analysis of aeromagnetic enhanced maps,allowed the differentia.ion of distinct lithologies,structural features,and hydrothermal altera.ions in the study ***,the integrated results obtained from the different interpreta.ion techniques are utilized to identify and confirm the previously supposed minera.ized loca.ities in the Fa.ira and Abu Zawal areas and predict other matched *** final ASTER,Sentinel 2 hydrothermal altera.ion,and orienta.ion entropy heat maps demonstrate the associa.ion between these minera.ized regions and major structures related to the FSZ late stage of deforma.ion rather than other structures studied throughout the area of interest.

Screening the insecticidal Efficacy of Nano ZnO Synthesized via.in-situ Polymeriza.ion of Crosslinked Polyacrylic a.id as a Template

Nano zinc oxide （ZnO） is a very useful and important material in many industrial and biological applica.ions. in the present work, ZnO was synthesized by post thermal degrada.ion of the precursor ＂zinc acetate di-hydrate＂ templated in crosslinked polyacrylic a.id （PAA）. The crosslinked PAA template was prepared through an in-situ polymeriza.ion process adopted in presence of ammonium per sulphate, as an initiator, and N, Nt- methylene bis-acryla.ide as the crosslinker. Va.ia.ion of prepara.ion parameters and their impact on the oxide stoichiometry, crystal structure, crystallite size and surface texture of the oxide were investigated. Energy dispersive X-ray technique （EDX）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） were convincingly used to reveal the oxide structural features and characteristics. The performed bioassay tests indicated the efficacy of this method of prepara.ion to produce nano ZnO with novel insecticidal activity against the greater wax moth, Galleria rnellonella.

Microalbuminuria.in hepa.itis C-genotype 4:Effect of pegylated interferon and riba.irin

AiM:To study the rela.ion between hepa.itis C virus (HCV) genotype 4 and microalbuminuria and renal impairment in rela.ion to hepa.ic histology, and viremia.in the absence of cryoglobulinemia, and to exa.ine the effect of treatment on ***: Three hundred subjects, including 233 HCV genotype-4 infected pa.ients, were tested for cryoglobulinemia, microalbuminuria, albumin crea.inine ra.io (ACR), urea, crea.inine, and estimated glomerular filtra.ion rate (eGFR). The parameters were measured again in the HCV pa.ients after 48 wk of treatment with pegylated interferon and ***: Significantly higher levels of microalbumin- uria were detected in HCV-positive pa.ients compared to HCV-nega.ive controls (median 9.5 vs 5.9, respectively, Kruskal-Wallis P=0.017). Log microalbuminuria was significantly correlated with hepa.ic inflamma.ion (r=0.13, P=0.036) and f ibrosis (r=0.12, P=0.061), but not with viral load (r=-0.03, P=0.610), or ala.ine transa.inase (r=-0.03, P=0.617). Diabetes mellitus neither significantly moderated (χ2=0.13, P=0.720), nor mediated (Sobel test P=0.49) the HCV effect. HCV status was signifi cantly associated with log microalbu-minuria (χ2=4.97, P=0.026), adjusting for age, gender, diabetes, cryoglobulinemia, urea and crea.inine. A positive HCV status was not significantly associated with low eGFR (in every 1.73 m2) [odds ra.io (OR): 0.5, 95% confidence interval (Ci):0.2-1.4], nor with high ACR (OR: 1.7, 95% Ci:0.7-4.1). End-of-treatment response (ETR) was achieved in 51.9% of pa.ients. individuals with ETR had significantly lower microalbuminuria post-treatment (χ2=8.19, P=0.004).CONCLUSiON: HCV affected the development of microalbuminuria.independent of diabetes or cryoglobulinemia. Combina.ion therapy of pegylated interferon-riba.irin had a positive effect in reducing microalbuminuria.

Transpressional deforma.ion has played an important role in the late Neoproterozoic evolution of the Ara.ianNubian Shield including the Central Eastern Desert of *** Gha.ir Shear Belt is a 35 km-long,NW-oriented brittleductile shear zone that underwent overall sinistral transpression during the Late *** this shear belt,strain is highly partitioned into shortening,oblique,extensional and strike-slip structures at multiple ***,strain partitioning is heterogeneous along-strike giving rise to three distinct structural *** the East Gha.ir and Ambaut shear belts,the strain is pure-shear dominated whereas the narrow sectors parallel to the shear walls in the West Gha.ir Shear Zone are simple-shear *** domains are comparable to splay-dominated and thrust-dominated strike-slip shear *** kinema.ic transition along the Gha.ir shear belt is consistent with separate strike-slip and thrustsense shear *** earlier fabric(S1),is locally recognized in low strain areas and SW-ward thrusts.S2 is associated with a shallowly plunging stretching linea.ion(L2),and defines^NW-SE major upright macroscopic folds in the East Gha.ir shear belt.F2 folds are superimposed by^NNW–SSE tight-minor and major F3 folds that are kinema.ically compa.ible with sinistral transpressional deforma.ion along the West Gha.ir Shear Zone and may represent strain partitioning during deforma.ion.F2 and F3 folds are superimposed by ENE–WSW gentle F4 folds in the Ambaut shear *** sub-parallelism of F3 and F4 fold axes with the shear zones may have resulted from strain partitioning associated with simple shear deforma.ion along narrow mylonite zones and pure shear-dominant deforma.ion in fold *** ENEstriking shear zones were subsequently active at ca.595 Ma,coeval with sinistral shea.ing along NW-to NNW-striking shear *** occurrence of upright folds and folds with vertical axes suggests that transpression plays a significant role in

对近来记述的古北区东部地区的毛地蜂属Panurginus Nylander全部14个种作了补充研究。中国对该属的研究较少,仅知2种:黑足毛地蜂Panurginus nigripes Mora.itz和黄跗毛地蜂Panurginus flavotarsus Wu。黑毛地蜂 Panurginus niger Nylander为该属的模式种,分布于俄罗斯和蒙古,本文报道该种为中国新记录种。目前,中国已知该属3种,分属于2个组即niger-group和herzi-group。文中提供了中国已知种类检索表。

infrapubic versus Penoscrotal Approaches for implanta.ion of Semi-Rigid Penile Prosthesis

Background: Modifica.ion of surgical techniques to minimize wound infections in penile implant surgery using malleable prosthesis which is easy to use, of very low risk of mecha.ical failure and is financially suitable to improve outcome and ensures less complica.ions. The aim of the study is to compare infrapubic approach and Penoscrotal approach in penile semi-rigid prosthesis implanta.ion surgery. Pa.ients and methods: Fifty pa.ients were randomly divided into two groups and each group underwent one approach. Results: No sta.ically significant differences were found between both groups in terms of opera.ive time. Corporeal cross over was the most common intraopera.ive complica.ions, 3 cases in iP approach and 6 cases in PS but not sta.istically significant. Peyronie’s disease pa.ients underwent penile implant through infrapubic approach in 3 cases and PS in 4 cases with one recorded complica.ion of keloid forma.ions with iP. Urethral false passage reported only in one case with PS approach without affecting the procedure. Only minor complica.ions including superficial wound infection which was significantly more with PS, 6/25 (24%) and iP 1/25 (4%), p value = 0.041. Penile and scrotal edema was common with iP approach (92%) in compa.ison with PS approach (60%). The urethral catheter can be abandoned with iP to avoid the risk of catheteriza.ions. No significant rela.ion between diabetes and infections and no erosions were encountered. Conclusion: Through this research work, infrapubic approach is better than Penoscrotal approach even if it is not commonly used by surgeon.

This paper presents an optimal vehicle and seat suspension design for a half-car vehicle model to reduce human-body vibra.ion (whole-body vibra.ion). A genetic algorithm is applied to search for the optimal parameters of the seat and vehicle suspension. The desired objective is proposed as the minimiza.ion of a multi-objective function formed by the combina.ion of seat suspension working space (seat suspension deflection), head accelera.ion, and seat mass accelera.ion to achieve the best comfort of the driver. With the aid of Matlab/Simulink software, a simula.ion model is achieved. in solving this problem, the genetic algorithms have consistently found near-optimal solutions within specified parameters ranges for several independent runs. For va.ida.ion, the solution obtained by GA was compared to the ones of the passive suspensions through sinusoidal excita.ion of the seat suspension system for the currently used suspension systems.

Three hundred and eleven honeybee samples from 12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa （MENA）（Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, iraq, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Yemen, Palestine, and Sudan） were analyzed for the presence of deformed wing virus （DWV）. The prevalence of DWV throughout the MENA region was perva.ive, but va.iable. The highest prevalence was found in Lebanon and Syria, with prevalence dropping in Palestine, Jordan, and Egypt before increa.ing slightly moving westwards to Algeria and Morocco Phylogenetic analysis of a 194 nucleotide section of the DWV Lp gene did not identify any significant phylogenetic resolution among the samples, although the sequences did show consistent regional clustering, including an interesting geographic gra.ient from Morocco through North Africa to Jordan and Syria. The sequences revealed several clear va.ia.ility hotspots in the deduced a.ino a.id sequence, which furthermore showed some patterns of regional identity. Furthermore, the sequence va.iants from the Middle East and North Africa appear more numerous and diverse than those from Europe.
