The interactions between lignin oligomers and solvents determine the beha.iors of lignin oligomers self-assembling into uniform lignin nanoparticles(LNPs).Herein,several alcohol solvents,which rea.ily interact with the lignin oligomers,were adopted to study their effects during solvent shifting process for LNPs’*** lignin oligomers with widely distributed molecular weight and abundant guaiacyl units were extracted from wood waste(mainly consists of pine wood),exerting outstanding self-assembly *** and spherical LNPs were generated in H_(2)O-n-propanol cosolvent,whereas irregular LNPs were obtained in H_(2)O-methanol *** unsa.isfactory self-assembly performance of the lignin oligomers in H_(2)O-methanol cosolvent could be attributed to two *** one hand,for the initial dissolution state,the distinguishing Hansen solubility parameter and pola.ity between methanol solvent and lignin oligomers resulted in the poor dispersion of the lignin *** the other hand,strong hydrogen bonds between methanol solvent and lignin oligomers during solvent shifting process,hindered the interactions among the lignin oligomers for self-assembly.

Seismic prediction of cracks is of great significance in many disciplines,for which the rock physics model is ***,up to now,multitudinous analytical models focus prima.ily on the cracked rock with the isotropic background,while the explicit model for the cracked rock with the a.isotropic background is rarely investigated in spite of such case being often encountered in the ***,we first studied dependences of the crack opening displacement tensors on the crack dip angle in the coordinate systems formed by symmetry planes of the crack and the background a.isotropy,respectively,by forty groups of numerical *** on the conclusion from the experiments,the analytical solution was derived for the effective elastic properties of the rock with the inclined penny-shaped cracks in the transversely isotropic ***,we comprehensively analyzed,according to the developed model,effects of the crack dip angle,background a.isotropy,filling fluid and crack density on the effective elastic properties of the cracked *** analysis results indicate that the dip angle and background a.isotropy can significantly either enhance or weaken the a.isotropy degrees of the P-and SH-wave velocities,whereas they have rela.ively small effects on the SV-wave velocity ***,the filling fluid can increase the stiffness coefficients related to the compressional modulus by reducing crack compliance parameters,while its effects on shear coefficients depend on the crack dip *** increa.ing crack density reduces velocities of the dry rock,and decrea.ing rates of the velocities are affected by the crack dip *** compa.ing with exact numerical results and experimental data.it was demonstrated that the proposed model can achieve high-precision estima.ions of stiffness ***,the assumption of the weakly a.isotropic background results in the consistency between the proposed model and Hudson's published theory for the or

The metal-lightweighted electrocatalysts for water splitting are highly desired for sustainable and economic hydrogen energy deployments,but *** this work,a low-content Ni-functiona.ized approach triggers the high capa.ility of black phosphorene(BP)with hydrogen and oxygen evolution reaction(HER/OER)*** a fa.ile in situ electro-exfolia.ion route,the ionized Ni sites are covalently functiona.ized in BP nanosheets with electron redistribution and controllable metal *** is found that the as-fabricated Ni-BP electrocatalysts can drive the water splitting with much enhanced HER and OER *** 1.0 M KOH electrolyte,the optimized 1.5 wt%Nifunctiona.ized BP nanosheets have rea.ily achieved low overpotentials of 136 mV for HER and 230 mV for OER at 10 ma cm^(−2).Moreover,the covalently bonding between Ni and P has also strengthened the catalytic sta.ility of the Ni-functiona.ized BP electrocatalyst,stably delivering the overall water splitting for 50 h at 20 ma cm^(−2).Theoretical calcula.ions have revealed that Ni–P covalent binding can regulate the electronic structure and optimize the reaction energy barrier to improve the catalytic activity *** work confirms that Ni-functiona.ized BP is a suitable candidate for electrocatalytic overall water splitting,and provides effective strategies for constructing metal-lightweighted economic electrocatalysts.

BACKGROUND Human cystic echinococcosis(CE)is a life-threatening zoonosis caused by the Echinococcus granulosus(sensu lato).Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a lea.ing cause of cancer-related morta.ity in the *** coexistence of CE and HCC is exceedingly rare,and only several well-documented cases have been *** addition to this coexistence,there is no report of the coexistence of CE,HCC,and liver abscess to ***,we aimed to report a case of coexistence of liver abscess,hepa.ic CE,and *** SUMmaRY A 65-year-old herdsman presented to the department of interventional therapy with jaundice,right upper abdominal distension and pain for 10 *** test showed that he had positive results for HBsAg,HBeAb,HBcAb,and echino-coccosis igG *** test also showed an increased level of alpha fetopro-tein of 3400 ng/*** abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan revealed an uneven enhanced lesion of the liver at the arterial phase with enhancement and was located S4/8 segment of the *** addition,CT scan also revealed a mass in the S6 segment of the liver with a thick calcified wall and according to current guideline and medical images,the diagnoses of hepa.ic CE(CE4 subtype)and HCC were ***,transarterial chemoemboliza.ion was performed for *** the follow-up,liver abscess occurred in addition to CE and HCC;thus,percutaneous liver puncture drainage was *** the next follow-up,CE and HCC were *** liver abscess was completely resolved,and the pa.ient was discharged with no evidence of *** This is the first reported case on the coexistence of liver abscess,hepa.ic CE,and *** treatment and multidisciplinary discussions should be performed in this ***,treatment and diagnosis should be based on the characteristics of liver abscess,hepa.ic CE,and HCC,and in future clinical work,it is necessary to be aware of the possibility of this complex composition of liver diseases.

Quercetin compounds have antioxidant,anti-inflammatory and anticancer pharmacological *** exposure to acryla.ide(AA)can cause liver injury and endanger human ***,whether quercetin compounds can attenuate Aa.induced liver injury and the specific mecha.ism are not ***,we studied the mecha.ism and structure-activity rela.ionship of quercetin compounds in reducing Aa.induced hepatotoxicity in vivo and in *** vivo studies found that quercetin-like compounds protect against a.induced liver injury by reducing oxida.ive stress levels,activa.ing the Akt/m TOR signa.ing pathway to attenuate autophagy,and improving mitochondrial apoptosis and endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated *** vitro studies found that quercetin compounds protected Hep G2 cells from AA by attenua.ing the activa.ion of Aa.induced autophagy,lowering reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels by exerting antioxidant effects and thus attenua.ing oxida.ive stress,increa.ing mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP),and improving apoptosis-related proteins,thus attenua.ing Aa.induced ***,the conforma.ional differences between quercetin compounds correlated with their protective capa.ity against Aa.induced hepatotoxicity,with quercetin showing the best protective capa.ity due to its strongest antioxidant *** conclusion,quercetin compounds can protect against Aa.induced liver injury through multiple pathways of oxida.ive stress,autophagy and apoptosis,and their protective capa.ity correlates with antioxidant activity.

Cracks have consistently been a significant challenge limiting the development of additive manufactured nickel-based *** is essential to investigate the loca.ion of cracks and their forming *** study extensively exa.ines the impact of solidifica.ion process,microstructural evolution,and stress concentra.ion on crack initia.ion during direct energy deposition(DED).The results empha.ize that the crack forma.ion is significantly related to large-angle grain bounda.ies,ra.id cooling *** caused by large-angle grain bounda.ies and a fast-cooling rate predominantly appear near the edge of the deposited *** cracks are more likely to form near the top of the deposited sample,due to the presence ofγ/γ'*** secondary dendritic arm and the carbides in the interdendritic regions can obstruct liquid flow during the final stage of solidifica.ion,which results in the forma.ion of solidifica.ion cracks and *** work paves the way to avoid cracks in nickel-based superalloys fabricated by DED,thereby enhancing the performance of superalloys.

Cobalt selenide(CoSe_(2))has garnered considerable attention as a prospective anode candidate for advanced lithium-ion storage,prompting comprehensive ***,CoSe_(2)-based anodes usually suffer from significant volume va.ia.ion upon lithia.ion lea.ing to unsa.isfactory cycling ***,a versa.ile synthesis route is proposed for the in-situ fabrica.ion of CoSe2nanoparticles embedded in N-dope carbon skeleton(CoSe_(2)@NC)through annea.ing treatment and seleniza.ion of a metal–orga.ic framework-derived(MOF)*** N-doped carbon derived from the MOF serves not only as an excellent conductive substrate but also as a confined reactor,effectively inhibiting the structural insta.ility and allevia.ing the inevitable volume change of CoSe_(2).Owing to their unique nanostructure,the as-prepared CoSe_(2)@NC exhibits a high capa.ity of 745.9mah·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1),while maintaining excellent rate capa.ility and an impressive ***,the assembled lithium-ion capa.itor(LiC)based on CoSe_(2)@NC demonstrates an energy density of 130Wh·kg^(-1),a power density of 24.6 kW·kg^(-1),and remarkable capa.ity retention of 90.8%after 8000 *** results highlight the great potential of CoSe_(2)@NC for practical applica.ions.

Background Evidence remains limited on the associa.ion between maternal ozone(O,)exposure and congenital heart defects(CHDs)in offspring,and few studies have investigated the interaction and modifica.ion of paternal smoking on this *** Using a sample including pregnant women at high risk of fetal CHD(with metabolic disease,first-trimester viral infection,fa.ily history of CHD,etc.)from a maternal-fetal medicine study covering 1313 referral hospitals in China during 2013-2021,we exa.ined the associa.ions between maternal O_(3)exposure during 3-8 weeks of gesta.ional age and fetal CHD in offspring and investigated the interaction and modifica.ion of paternal smoking on this *** was diagnosed by fetal echocardiograms,ma.imum daily 8-hour average O,exposure data at a 10 km×10 km spa.ial resolution came from the Tracking Air Pollution in China dataset,and paternal smoking was collected using *** regression models were used to estimate adjusted odds ra.ios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals(Cis).Results Among 27,834 pregnant women at high risk of fetal CHD,17.4%of fetuses were diagnosed with *** 10μg/m^(3)increase in maternal O_(3)exposure was associated with a 17%increased risk of CHD in offspring(OR=1.17,95%Ci=1.14-1.20).Compared with paternal nonsmoking and maternal low O_(3)exposure,the ORs(95%Ci)of CHD for smoking and low O_(3)exposure,nonsmoking and high O_(3)exposure,and smoking and high O_(3)exposure were 1.25(1.08-1.45),1.81(1.56-2.08),and 2.23(1.84-2.71),*** smoking cessa.ion seemingly mitigated the increased risk of *** maternal O_(3)exposure and paternal smoking were interactively associated with an increased risk of fetal CHD in offspring,which calls for effective measures to decrease maternal exposure to O_(3)pollution and secondhand smoke for CHDprevention.

Neutron-skin thickness is a key parameter for a neutron-rich nucleus;however,it is difficult to *** the framework of the Lanzhou Quantum Molecular Dyna.ics(LQMD)model,a possible probe for the neutron-skin thickness(δ_(np))of neutron-rich ^(48)Ca was studied in the 140A MeV ^(48)Ca+^(9)Be projectile fragmenta.ion reaction based on the parallel momentum distribution(p∥)of the residual fragments.A Fermi-type density distribution was employed to initiate the neutron density distributions in the LQMD simula.ions.A combined Gaussian function with different width parameters for the left side(Γ_(L))and the right side(Γ_(R))in the distribution was used to describe the p∥of the residual *** neutron-rich sulfur isotopes as examples,Γ_(L) shows a sensitive correla.ion withδ_(np) of ^(48)Ca,and is proposed as a probe for determining the neutron skin thickness of the projectile nucleus.
