To pursue the ideal of a safe high-tech society in a time when traffic accidents are frequent,the traffic signs detection system has become one of the necessary topics in recent years and in the *** ultimate goal of this research is to identify and classify the types of traffic signs in a panora.ic *** accomplish this goal,the paper proposes a new model for traffic sign detection based on the Convolutional Neural Network for com-prehensive traffic sign classifica.ion and Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks(R-CNN)implementa.ion for identifying and extracting signs in panora.ic *** augmenta.ion and norma.iza.ion of the images are also applied to assist in classifying better even if old traffic signs are degraded,and considerably minimize the rates of discovering the extra *** proposed model is tested on both the testing dataset and the actual images and gets 94.5%of the correct signs recognition rate,the classifica.ion rate of those signs discovered was 99.41%and the rate of false signs was only around 0.11.

Environmental pollution has had substantial impacts on human life,and trash is one of the main sources of such pollution in most *** classi-ﬁca.ion from a collection of trash images can limit the overloa.ing of garbage dis-posal systems and efﬁciently promote recycling activities;thus,development of such a classiﬁca.ion system is topical and *** paper proposed an effective trash classiﬁca.ion system that relies on a classiﬁca.ion module embedded in a hard-ware setup to classify trash in real *** image dataset isﬁrst augmented to enhance the images before classifying them as either inorga.ic or orga.ic *** deep learning–based ResNet-50 model,an improved version of the ResNet model,is used to classify trash from the dataset of trash *** experimental results,which are tested both on the dataset and in real time,show that ResNet-50 had an average accuracy of 96%,higher than that of related ***,integra.ing the classiﬁca.ion module into a Raspberry Pi computer,which con-trolled the trash bin slide so that garbage fell into the appropriate bin for inorga.ic or orga.ic waste,created a complete trash classiﬁca.ion *** proves the efﬁciency and high applica.ility of the proposed system.

Results of Testing Maize Hybrids on Lands Shifting from Rice-Growing Areas of Less Efficiency in the Mekong Delta

Forecasters predict that by 2020 there will be 4.5 or 5 million tons per annum maize supply deficiency in Vietnam. As a result of this projection, the government responded by shifting 80,000 ha of low-efficiency rice production areas into maize production （2014-2015） and this area of production for maize is expected to increase to 150,000 ha by 2016-2020. Nevertheless, not all commercial maize hybrids could be suitable for rice-growing land in the Mekong Delta and a na.ional project of hybrid maize development for Mekong Delta has been conducted since early 2014. in the project, yield trials of 20 maize hybrids, sourced from Vietnamese institutions and the private sector including Syngenta （NK67） and Dekalb （DK9901）, were sown in Dong Thap, Hau Giang and Long An provinces situated in the Mekong Delta, in minor a.id sulphate soils with a pH of 5.0-5.5. The trial included three replica.ions in an Alpha lattice design conducted during spring-summer in 2014. The hybrids flowered at 50-52 d after planting and physiologically matured between 93-97 d after planting. This suggested they would be suitable for cropping systems, which was comprised of three seasons per year. To determine which hybrid is best suited for the region, researchers evaluated yield and ear characteristics. The average yield of the genotypes across loca.ions was 52.03, 54.92 and 57.60 quintals/ha, respectively, and the herita.ility of genotypes in each loca.ion was 0.51, 0.81 and 0.61, respectively. The mean yield of DK9901 was 58.19 quintals/ha, ranking the 7th among 20 hybrids, and NK67 was 47.58 quintals/ha, ranking the 19th. The grand mean was 54.92 quintals/ha and herita.ility for all genotypes was 0.79. The highest yield was produced by the Southern seed company hybrid SSC474 （69.39 quintals/ha）, which yielded significantly more maize than DK9901 （58.19 quintals/ha） at P 〈 0.05, followed by VS71 from Na.ional Maize Research institute （NMRi） at 63.52 quintals/ha, and LCH9A from NMRi at 63.39 quin

A photovoltaic (PV) string with multiple modules with bypass diodes frequently deployed on a va.iety of autonomous PV systems may present multiple power peaks under uneven sha.ing. For optimal solar harvesting, there is a need for a control schema to force the PV string to operate at global ma.imum power point (GMPP). While a lot of tracking methods have been proposed in the literature, they are usually complex and do not fully take advantage of the available characteristics of the PV array. This work highlights how the voltage at opera.ing point and the forward voltage of the bypass diode are considered to design a global ma.imum power point tracking (GMPPT) algorithm with a very limited global search phase called Fast GMPPT. This algorithm successfully tracks GMPP between 94% and 98% of the time under a theoretical evalua.ion. it is then compared against Perturb and Observe, Deterministic Particle Swarm Optimiza.ion, and Grey Wolf Optimiza.ion under a sequence of irra.iance steps as well as a power-over-voltage characteristics profile that mimics the electrical characteristics of a PV string under varying partial sha.ing conditions. Overall, the simula.ion with the sequence of irra.iance steps shows that while Fast GMPPT does not have the best convergence time, it has an excellent convergence rate as well as causes the least amount of power loss during the global search phase. Experimental test under varying partial sha.ing conditions shows that while the GMPPT proposal is simple and lightweight, it is very performant under a wide range of dyna.ically varying partial sha.ing conditions and boasts the best energy efficiency (94.74%) out of the 4 tested algorithms.
