homeosta.is of platelet number in human and other mammals is well maintained for prevention of minor bleeding and for other im- munological functions, but the exact molecular mecha.ism responsible for immune thrombocytopenic purpura （iTP） has not been fully understood. in an effort to identify genetic factors involved in initia.ion of platelet production in response to bleeding injury or platelet destruction, we have successfully generated an a.imal model of human iTP via.intraperitoneal injection of anti-platelet antibody into the balb/c mouse. Platelet counts were dropped drama.ically in a.imals that received antibody injection within 4 h, maintained at the mini- mum level for a period of 44 h, started to rebound after 48 h, and reached to the ma.imum at 144 h （6 days）. Final homeosta.is reached at approximately 408 h （17 days）, following a minor cycle of platelet number fluctua.ion. Using semi-quantita.ive RT-PCR, we assessed and compared mRNA level of CD41, c-myb, c-mpl, caspase-3, caspase-9, GATA-1, and Bcl-xl in bone marrow and spleen. Altera.ion of mRNA expression was correlated with the change of platelet level, and an inverse rela.ionship was found for expression of the genes be- tween bone marrow and spleen. No transcription was detectable for any of the seven genes in bone marrow at the time when platelet number reached the ma.imum （144 h）. in contrast, mRNA transcripts of the seven genes were found to be at the highest level in spleen tissue. This is the first study of simultaneous detection of multiple platelet related genes in a highly reproducible iTP a.imal model. Our results provided the supportive evidence that expression of the above seven genes are more related to nega.ive regula.ion of platelet number in spleen tissue, at least in the model a.imals.

introduction: This study aimed to assess the prevalence of intra-dialytic hypotension (iDh) according to the European Best Practice Guidelines (EBPG) definition in rela.ion to the number of haemodialysis sessions and the number of chronic haemodialysis pa.ients and to identify its associated factors. Pa.ients and Methods: We conducted an observa.ional, multicentre and looking-forward study of descriptive and analytical purposes over a 4-week period. The study included all pa.ients with regular chronic haemodialysis with at least two sessions per week and a dura.ion of 180 minutes, who consented to participate in the study and were over 15 years of age. Data collection was done with pre-established forms. The following data were collected: blood pressure before each session, at 30, 60, 120, 180 and 240 minutes of each session;socio-demographic data;dialysis data;clinical, paraclinical, therapeutic data and nursing interventions. Results: The mean age of the pa.ients was 43.84 ± 12.10 years. Among 568 haemodialysis sessions recorded in 50 pa.ients, iDh was noted in 12 haemodialysis sessions, representing a prevalence of 2.11%. Fa.igue was found in 5 sessions with iDh episodes (41.66%) followed by yawning (25%), nausea ± vomiting (16.66%) and cramps (16.66%). As nursing interventions, Trendelenburg position and normal sa.ine administra.ion were performed in all iDh episodes. high blood pressure, inter-dialytic weight gain greater than 3 kg, Uf/h > 10 ml/kg/h, anaemia and hypoalbuminaemia were associated with the occurrence of iDh. Conclusion: The prevalence of iDh according to the EBPG definition is low. however, it is an important cause of morbidity and morta.ity, especially cardiovascular involvement, and the factors associated with its presence have been clearly identified.

AiM: To evaluate the applica.ility of nonbismuth concomitant quadruple therapy for helicobacter pylori(h. pylori) era.ica.ion in Chinese ***: A systema.ic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials was performed to evaluate the efficacy of nonbismuth concomitant quadruple therapy between sequential therapy or triple therapy for h. pylori era.ica.ion in Chinese regions. The defined Chinese regions include China, hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore. The primary outcome was the h. pylori era.ica.ion rate; the secondary outcome was the compliance with therapy. The Pub Med, Embase, Scopus, and Cochrane databases were searched for studies published in the period up to March 2016 with no language ***: We reviewed six randomized controlled trials and 1616 pa.ients. in 3 trials compa.ing concomitant quadruple therapy with triple therapy, the h. pylori era.ica.ion rate was significantly higher for 7-d nonbismuth concomitant quadruple therapy than for 7-d triple therapy(91.2% vs 77.9%, risk ra.io = 1.17, 95%Ci: 1.09-1.25). in 3 trials compa.ing quadruple therapy with sequential therapy, the era.ica.ion rate was not significant between groups(86.9% vs 86.0%). however, higher compliance was achieved with concomitant therapy than with sequential ***: The h. pylori era.ica.ion rate was higher for nonbismuth concomitant quadruple therapy than for triple therapy. Moreover, higher compliance was achieved with nonbismuth concomitant quadruple therapy than with sequential therapy. Thus, nonbismuth concomitant quadruple therapy should be the first-line treatment in Chinese regions.

The G?ksun(kahramanmaras)ophiolite(GKO),cropping out in a tectonic window bounded by the Malatya metamorphic unit on both the north and south,is located in the EW-trending lower nappe zone of the southeast Anatolian orogenic belt(Turkey).it exhibits a complete ocea.ic lithospheric section and overlies the Middle Eocene Maden Group/Complex with a tectonic contact at its *** ophiolitic rocks and the tectonically overlying Malatya metamorphic(continental)unit were intruded by i-type calc-alka.ine Late Cretaceous gra.itoid(~81-84 Ma).The ultrama.ic to cumulates in the GKO are represented by wehrlite,pla.ioclase wehrlite,olivine gabbro and *** crystalliza.ion order for the cumulate rocks is as follows:olivine±chromian spinel→clinopyroxene→*** major and trace element geochemistry as well as the mineral chemistry of the ultrama.ic to ma.ic cumulate rocks suggest that the primary magma genera.ing the GKO is compositionally similar to that observed in the modern island-arc tholeiitic *** mineral chemistry of the ultrama.ic to ma.ic cumulates indicates that they were derived from a mantle source that was previously depleted by earlier partial melting *** highly magnesian olivine(Fo77-83),clinopyroxene(Mg#of 82-90)and the highly Ca-pla.ioclase(An81-89)exhibit a close simila.ity to those,which formed in a supra-subduction zone(SSZ)*** field and the geochemical evidence suggest that the GKO formed as part of a much larger sheet of ocea.ic lithosphere,which accreted to the base of the Tauride active continental margin,including the ispendere,K?mürhan and the Guleman *** latter were contemporaneous and genetically/tectonically related within the same SSZ setting during the closure of the Neotethyan ocea.ic ba.in(Berit Ocean)between the Taurides to the north and the Bitlis-Pütürge massif to the south during the Late Cretaceous.

in this paper,the synthesis,structural evolution,and dielectric properties of Ba.iO_(3)solid solutions codoped with rare earth elements(Gd^(3+)and Eu^(3+))prepared using the solid-state reaction method are *** pure precursor powders of baCl_3,TiO_(2),Gd_(2)O_(3),and Eu_(2)O_(3)were mixed in stoichiometric proportions,ground in an agate mortar before being unia.ially pressed at 250 MPa and sintered at 1300℃in air atmosphere for 6 h to obtain ba_(1-3x)Gd_(2x)Ti_(1-3x)Eu_(4x)O_(3)(x=0,0.0015,0.01 and0.1).X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Rietveld's refinement results reveal the crystal phase ferroelectric tetragonal Ba.iO_(3)for the samples with x=0,0.0015 and 0.01,as well as a consistent increment in the lattice parameters caused by the *** solubility limit of Gd^(3+)and Eu^(3+)in the Ba.iO_(3)structure is reached for the sample with x>0.01,and the orthorhombic Eu_2TiO_(5)and monoclinic Ba.i_(2)O_(5)secondary phases were *** Raman results show the characteristic peaks of ferroelectric tetragonal Ba.iO_(3)around 716 cm^(-1)(LO of A1 symmetry),515 cm^(-1)(TO of A1 symmetry),and 305 cm^(-1)(B1).The ma.imum rela.ive permittivity measured at 1 khz was recorded to be 6151.8 for the sample with x=0.0015,and a decrease in the Curie temperature to 105℃with respect to the undoped sample was *** punctual microanalysis for the samples with x=0.0015,0.01,and 0.1 reveals grains composed of ba,Ti,O,Gd,and Eu homogeneously distributed in the Ba.iO_(3)*** ba/Ti ra.ios for samples with x=0.0015,0.01 and 0.1 are 2.86,2.91,and 0.68,respectively,indica.ing substitution at the Ti site for samples with x=0.0015 and 0.01 and a substitution at the ba site for the sample with x=0.1.

background: First described in 1908, TAK has now been recognized as a non-specific inflammatory disease of unknown etiology, predominantly affecting young females. Sometimes, it progresses into relatively rare and potentially fatal scenarios such heart failure. Case Presentation: Here, we present the case of a 50-year sub-saharan female suffering from acute heart failure related to TAK. Despite constitutional symptoms (fever, malaise, weight loss) and more characteristic features such claudication of lower extremities, carotydinia, and pulseless syndrome, diagnosis of TAK was delayed since main presentation was heart failure. Immunosuppressive and anticoagulant therapies have induced improvement in cardiac manifestations. Conclusion: Early diagnosis and proper treatment can protect the patient from dangerous complications such heart failure.

Potential Anti-cancer Activity of Furanodiene

Objective： To study the isolated from the essential oil ViVO anti-tumor activities of furanodiene of the rhizome of Curcuma wenyujin （C15h200）, a primary sesquiterpene compound Yh Chen et C. Ling（Wen Ezhu）, in vitro and in Methods： in vitro MTT assay was used to further study the effects of time and dosage on anti-prolifera.ion of furanodiene against the sensitive hela, hep-2, hL-60, U251 cells, based on the cytotoxic effects of furanodiene on 12 human ma.ignant tumor cell lines with the essential oil of Wen Ezhn as control., and the half-inhibitory concentra.ion （iC50） was observed. in vivo uterine cervix （U14） tumor cell was selected and the conventional assay method of anti-tumor activity was employed. Furanodiene liposome was administered intraperitoneally, and tumor-inhibitory rate, thymus and spleen indexes were observed. Results： The inhibitive effects on cell prolifera.ion were shown in all of the twelve cell lines and the cytotoxic effects of furanodiene against hela, hep-2, hL-60, U251 cells were observed after 12 h of administra.ion, the effect could last for at least 48 h in a dose dependent manner, and the iC50 values were 0.6, 1.7, 1.8, 7.0μg/ml, respectively. Furanodiene was also found to show inhibitive effects on the prolifera.ion of uterine cervix （U14） tumor induced in mice. The tumor inhibition rates were 36.09% （40 mg/kg）, 41.55% （60 mg/kg）, 58.29% （80 mg/kg）, respectively. Conclusion： Furanodiene is one of primary anti-cancer active components in the essential oil of Wen Ezhu, and also a very effective agent against uterine cervix cancer, and has protection effect on the immune function.

Graphene oxide is a very high capa.ity adsorbent due to its functional groups and π-π interactions with other compounds. Adsorption capa.ity of graphene oxide, however, can be further enhanced by ha.ing synergistic effects through the use of mixed-matrix composite. in this study, silica-decorated graphene oxide(SGO) was used as a high-efficiency adsorbent to remove Congo red(CR) and Cadmium(Ⅱ) from aqueous solutions. The effects of solution initial concentra.ion(20 to 120 mg/l), solution ph(ph 2 to 7), adsorption dura.ion(0 to 140 min) and temperature(298 to 323 K) were measured in order to optimize the adsorption conditions using the SGO adsorbent. Morphological analysis indicated that the silica nanoparticles could be dispersed uniformly on the graphene oxide surfaces. The ma.imum capa.ities of adsorbent for effective removal of Cd(Ⅱ) and CR were 43.45 and 333.33 mg/g based on Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms, respectively. Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms displayed the highest values of Q max for CR and Cd(Ⅱ) adsorption in this study, which indicated monolayer adsorption of CR and multilayer adsorption of Cd(ii) onto the SGO, respectively. Thermodyna.ic study showed that the enthalpy( h) and Gibbs free energy( G) values of the adsorption process for both pollutants were nega.ive, suggesting that the process was spontaneous and exothermic in nature. This study showed active sites of SGO( π-π, hydroxyl, carboxyl, ketone, silane-based functional groups) contributed to an enormous enhancement in simultaneous removal of CR and Cd(Ⅱ) from an aqueous solu-tion, Therefore, SGO can be considered as a promising adsorbent for future water pollution control and removal of hazardous materials from aqueous solutions.
