This study exa.ined neglected hip fracture-disloca.ions in developing countries, focusing on five cases in Dakar. The research adopted a prospective method, assessing epidemiological, clinical, ra.iological, and therapeutic aspects, utilizing the Postel Merle d’Aubigné scoring system for functional assessment. Results demonstrated that total joint replacement surgery, predominantly following traffic accidents, significantly improved mobility and reduced limb length dispa.ity, with most pa.ients achieving independent walking post-opera.ion. The study concludes that early diagnosis and total hip arthroplasty are critical for optimal outcomes.

Objective:To present results of virological study of wild birds inha.iting Western Mongolia. Methods:Over a period of 2003-2008,we isolated 13 influenza A viruses:h1N1,h3N6, h13N8 and h4N6 *** did not isolate any h5N1 subtype,that still cause epizooty in wild birds and ***:We revealed taxonomic and ecological heterogeneity of the birds involved in maintenance of circula.ion of influenza viruses in the given *** viruses were isolated from birds of 6 orders;among them there are species preferring water and semi-aqua.ic biotopes,one species preferring dry plain region,and also one species which can inha.it both dry and water ***:Representa.ives of all main orders of Western Mongolia a.ifauna are involved in support of influenza A virus circula.ion,highly pathogenic h5N1 influenza viruses were registered in Mongolia thus it’s necessary to continue permanent influenza virus surveillance in wild birds’ popula.ions.

introduction: The evolution of primary FSGS is often marked by the occurrence of relapse and corticosteroid resistance and the therapeutic options are numerous and have limited effectiveness. The objective of our study was to assess our practice in this lesion. Pa.ients and Methods: We carried out a retrospective study of pa.ients treated for primary FSGS the period January 1, 2010 to September 30, 2018. The clinical pathological, therapeutic and evolutive characteristics were studied. Results: Fifty-eight pa.ients were included in the study. The average age was 30.74 ± 11.35 years and the sex ra.io (M/F) was 2.41. Edema was found in 86.2% and hypertension in 37.9%. The average crea.inine was 20.17 ± 16.06 mg/l and the average GFR according to MDRD was 82.43 ± 69.06 ml/min/1.73 m2. The average albumin level was 15.11 ± 5.78 g/l and the 24-hour proteinuria was 7.8 ± 3.79 g/24 h. Nephrotic syndrome was the main indica.ion for renal biopsy in 84.48% and the classic form of FSGS was found in 90.9%. The average initial corticosteroid dose was 62.68 ± 10.04 mg/d and the average dura.ion of regression was 11.78 ± 7.40 months. Forty-five pa.ients (77.6%) were corticosensitive (27.6% complete remission and 50% partial remission). Corticosteroid resistance was observed in 19% and corticosteroid dependence in 11.1%. The proportion of relapse was 33.3% within an average of 15.4 ± 9.1 months. Cyclosporine was no longer prescribed as a second-line treatment in 8 pa.ients. infectious complica.ions were more found in 19%. Two pa.ients had progressed to ESRD and we noted 2 death cases. The male gender was correlated with the occurrence of a relapse. however, the impact of certain factors such as hypertension, proteinuria, hematuria and GFR level has not been demonstrated. This work deals with determining the optimum thickness of the base of an n+/p/p+ silicon solar cell under monochroma.ic illumina.ion in frequency modula.ion. The continuity equa.ion for the density of minority carriers generated in the base, by a monochroma.ic wavelength illumina.ion (i>λi>), with boundary conditions that impose recombina.ion velocities (i>Sfi>) and (i>Sbi>) respectively at the junction and back surface, is resolved. The ac photocurrent is deduced and studied according to the recombina.ion velocity at the junction, to extract the mathema.ical expressions of recombina.ion velocity (i>Sbi>). By the graphic technique of compa.ing the two expressions obtained, depending on the thickness (i>hi>) of the base, for each frequency, the optimum thickness (hopt) is obtained. it is then modeled according to the frequency, at the long wavelengths of the incident light. Thus, hopt decreases due to the low relaxa.ion time of minority carriers, when the frequency of modula.ion of incident light increases.

A new higher-order continuum model is proposed by considering the coupling and lane changing effects of the vehicles on two adjacent lanes. A sta.ility analysis of the proposed model provides the conditions that ensure its linear sta.ility. issues related to lane changing, shock waves and rarefaction waves, local clustering and phase transition are also investigated with numerical experiments. The simula.ion results show that the proposed model is capable of providing explana.ions to some particular traffic phenomena commonly observable in real traffic flows.

用全氮、有机质、ph、碳氮比及质地不同的12种土壤进行了大麦、燕麦和黑麦等3种作物的盆栽试验,并以KCl煮沸法测定了其可矿化的氮素,以估计土壤潜在的有效氮素。试验表明,KCl浓度及浸取时间长短对NO_3^--N浸出量无明显影响,用1 mol/L KCl煮沸浸取1h之后,Nh_4^--N亦增加不多。1 mol/L KCl煮沸1h所释放的氮素与3种作物吸氮量密切相关,证明了这种水解方法能较好地预报盆栽试验条件下不同土壤释放作物可利用氮素的相对能力。一旦包括土壤特性,温、湿度在内的氮素释放模式形成之后,KCl煮沸法有可能用来很好地预报大田条件下作物生长期间转变成有效态氮素的数量。

This study exa.ined whether people who self-reported depression sought mental health treatment in the year after being interviewed, and how gender affected utiliza.ion. Depression data were obtained from the Cana.ian Community health Survey (2000-01), and linked to medical records in Onta.io (n = 24,677). Overall, women had higher rates of mental health service utiliza.ion, but there were no gender differences in rates of specia.ist care. The gender difference in mental health contact was greater for those without depression, as opposed to those with depression. Among those without depression, women were significantly more likely than men to use mental health services;however, rates were similar for women and men with depression. This finding suggests that men may be more likely than women to delay seeing a doctor for minor mental health concerns, but will seek help once a problem reaches a threshold.

A novel corona.irus emerged in late 2019,named as the corona.irus disease 2019(COViD-19)by the World health Orga.iza.ion(WhO).This study was originally conducted in January 2020 to estimate the potential risk and geographic range of COViD-19 spread at the early stage of the transmission.A series of connectivity and risk analyses based on domestic and interna.ional travel networks were conducted using historical aggregated mobile phone data and air passenger itinerary *** found that the cordon sa.itaire of the primary city was likely to have occurred during the latter stages of peak popula.ion numbers lea.ing the city,with travellers departing into neighbouring cities and other mega.ities in *** estimated that there were 59,912 interna.ional air passengers,of which 834(95%uncertainty interval:478–1,349)had COViD-19 infection,with a strong correla.ion seen between the predicted risks of importa.ion and the number of imported cases *** the limited understanding of emerging infectious diseases in the very early stages of outbreaks,our approaches and findings in assessing travel patterns and risk of transmission can help guide public health preparedness and intervention design for new COViD-19 waves caused by va.iants of concern and future pandemics to effectively limit transmission beyond its initial extent.

AiM: To assess the aetiological role of helicobacter pylori (h. pylori) infection in adult pa.ients with ironrefractory or iron-dependent anaemia of previously unknown origin. METhODS: Consecutive pa.ients with chronic irondeficient anaemia (iDA) with h. pylori infection and a nega.ive standard work-up were prospectively evaluated. All of them had either iron refractoriness or iron dependency. Response to h. pylori era.ica.ion was assessed at 6 and 12 mo from follow-up. h. pylori infection was considered to be the cause of the anaemia when a complete anaemia resolution without iron supplements was observed after era.ica.ion. RESULTS: h. pylori was era.icated in 88 of the 89 pa.ients. in the non-era.icated pa.ient the four era.ica.ing regimens failed. There were viola.ions of protocol in 4 pa.ients, for whom it was not possible to ascertain the cause of the anaemia. Thus, 84 h. pylori era.icated pa.ients (10 men; 74 women) were available to assess the effect of era.ica.ion on iDA. h. pylori infection was considered to be the aetiology of iDa.in 32 pa.ients (38.1%; 95%Ci: 28.4%-48.8%). This was more frequent in men/postmenopausal women than in premenopausal women (75% vs 23.3%; P ith an OR of 9.8 (95%Ci: 3.3-29.6). in these pa.ients, anaemia resolution occurred in the first follow-up visit at 6 mo, and no anaemia or iron deficiency relapse was observed after a mean follow-up of 21 ± 2 mo. CONCLUSiON: Gastric h. pylori infection is a frequent cause of iron-refractory or iron-dependent anaemia of previously unknown origin in adult pa.ients.
