The quickening propensity of growth within the areas of information and communications technology and en-ergy networks has triggered the emergence of a central idea termed as Internet of Energy(IoE).Such a concept relates the internet of things,which is the term used in describing the usage of sophisticated digital control devices with the capability of transmitting data via IT *** concept of an interconnected energy network is being formed in the upcoming days through upgrades in the field of intelligent energy systems to control real-time energy optimization and *** energy industry has had a sustained expansion,reaching the IoE milestone and continuing to this cutting-edge power system,which is the next generation of IoE.A directional pathway from the traditional power system to the IoE has been conducted in this research work by addressing the importance of integrating the smart transmission and communication infrastructure,smart metering,pricing and energy management scheme.A detailed investigation of the IoE with respect to technical angles,such as communication architecture,IoE on the supply&demand side,and IoE protocol based on fundamental elements and essential technologies has been carried out to indicate the blueprint and jurisdiction *** inte-gration,security and energy management challenges may deviate the performance of the IoE technology that has been focused with proper control issues and ***,a directional framework to establish the next-generation IoE system has been constructed with future scopes to insure higher resiliency,cyber-security and stability.

The Allelopathic Potential of Conocarpus lancifolius(Engl.) Leaves on Dicot (Vigna sinensisL.), monocot (Zea maysL.) and Soil-Borne Pathogenic Fungi

Aqueous leaf extract and pulverized leaf tissue were tested for allelopathic effects on seed germination, seedling growth traits and net photosynthesis of corn (Zea mays L.) and bean (Vigna sinensis L.) The chemical constituents of the leaf extract were determined by GC-mS and the efficacy of the leaf extract to control some soil-borne fungal pathogens was also evaluated. The leaf extract inhibited germination, radicle and plumule lengths, root and shoot growth, chlorophyll content, photosynthesis and nutrient uptake in both crops. In corn and bean plants growth inhibition was proportional to the concentrations of the extracts (2.5% - 7.5%). Seed germination was associated with water uptake and the solute potential of the extracts. Leaf extracts also reduced of chlorophyll content, and stressed photosynthetic function by reducing photochemical efficiency (Fv/Fm) and electron transport rate (ETR) of PS II in corn and bean plants. Corn was more tolerant to the leaf extract than bean plants. The GC-mS analysis detected thirty one and thirty three compounds in winter and summer leaf extracts, respectively. The majority was phenolic compounds. mycelia growth of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersicon, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, and Rhizoctonia solani was inhibited and in 10% extract the fungi died. The extract however, had no effect on Trichoderma harzianum. Leaf extract of C. lancifolius exhibited both herbicidal and fungicidal properties but cannot be recommended for biological control of soil borne fungal plant pathogens because it has the potential to physiologically stress or damage cultivated plants or crops.

Assessment of heavy metals Immobilization in Artificially Contaminated Soils Using Some Local Amendments

Three alluvial soil samples with different textures were artificially polluted with chloride solutions of Cd, Pb, Co and chromate solution for Cr. The aqua-regia extracted concentration ranges in the artificially polluted soils were 1134 - 1489 mg·kg-1 for Pb, 854 - 938 mg·kg-1 for Cr, 166 - 346 mg·kg-1 for Co and 44 - 54 mg·kg-1 for Cd. The aqua-regia extracted metals were the highest in the spiked clay soil due to its high adsorption capacity. Rock phosphate (PR), lime-stone (LS) and Portland-cement (Cem) were mixed with the spiked soils at 1% and 2% rates (w/w) and incubated at 30 C for 2, 7, 14, 30, 60, 150 and 360 days. The extracted DTPA metals significantly decreased with different magnitudes with increasing the incubation period accompanied by increases in both ph and EC. The data showed that cement (Cem) treatment dropped the DTPA-Pb from @ 1000 to @ 400 mg·kg-1 in all the studied soils (60% decrease) in the first 2 months while it gradually decreased from 400 to 200 mg·kg-1 (20% decrease) in the next 10 months. Limestone (LS) and rock phosphate (PR) materials were relatively less effective in lowering DTPA-Pb after 12 months of incubation. The data showed also that cement (Cem) treatment was the most effective one in lowering DTPA-Cd by @ 60% as compared to the un-amended soils after 12 months of soil incubation. Extractable DTPA-Co and Cr showed consistent decreases with time down to nearly 50% of un-amended soils due to the effect of the added amendments after 12 months of incubation with superior reductions for the cement treatment in all the investigated soils. The statistical analysis confirmed that in all the studied metals and treatment, cement treatment (Cem) was significantly the most effective in lowering the DTPA extracted metals as indicated from LSD test. It was found that up to 73% and 57% of the applied Pb and Cd, respectively, were fixed by only 1% cement. however, the present study showed that from the practical and economic points of view

The Positivity Rate of Epstein-Barr Virus Anti-Viral Capsid Antigen IgG among Children with Infectious mononucleosis in Diyala-Iraq

Background: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a double-stranded linear DNA human herpesvirus that is transmitted primarily through saliva during childhood. Although the majority of primary EBV infections are clinically asymptomatic, clinical cases are presented as infectious mononucleosis (ImN) syndrome. Objectives: This study was conducted to explore the rate of EBV anti-VCA IgG among children who were clinically suspected as having ImNin Diyala province. Subjects and methods: This is a cross sectional study that was carried out during 2018 in Diyala province-Iraq. A total of 370 blood samples were collected from 190 children under 15 years of age who were clinically suspected as having ImN, and 180 apparently healthy children as controls. The anti EBV VCA IgG antibodies were detected in serum using the VCA IgG ELISA kit (from *** Diagnostic Bioprobessrl-Italy). Statistical analysis was carried out using the SPSS-version 25. A statistical significance was considered whenever the P value was ≤ 0.05. Results: The results showed that the IgG positivity rate among suspected ImN patients was insignificantly higher in the age group 10 - 14 years old children (80.8%, P = 0.364). In control subjects the highest positivity rate was in the age group of 1 - 4 years with a statistically significant difference (79.5%, P = 0.002). In suspected ImN patients, the age group of 10 - 14 years had the highest mean concentration ± SD of anti-VCA IgG 44.018 ± 38.644 arbitrary units per milliliter (arbU/ml), while in controls, the highest value 38.018 ± 34.908 (arbU/ml) was in the age group of 1 - 4 years, with insignificant difference in either group (P = 0.257 and 0.072, respectively). The results also showed that in both suspected ImN patients and control subjects, females showed higher IgG positivity rate (70.6%, and 75.5%) compared to males (64.8%, and 65.1%) with insignificant difference in both groups (P = 0.392 and 0.126) respectively. Rapid Urease Test and Faecal Antigen Detection for Rapid Diagnosis of helicobacter pylori Infection in Dyspepsia

Background: helicobacter pylori (h. pylori) is considered as one of the most prevalent gastric infections which cause chronic gastritis and predispose to cancer stomach. So, diagnosis and eradication should be rapid to decrease the risk of gastric cancer. Aim of the study: To evaluate the role of rapid urease test (RUT) and faecal antigen test (FAT) added to serological test for rapid diagnosis of active h. pylori infection. Patients and methods: 270 patients with dyspepsia and positive serology for h. pylori infection were included. Two antral and two corporal gastric biopsies were taken for RUT and histopathological examination. Fresh stool samples were obtained from all patients for FAT. Results: The mean age of the studied patients was 45 ± 25. h. pylori infection was found in 256 (94.8%) of the included patients: 236 (92.18%) with positive all tests, 5 (1.95%) with positive both RUT and FAT, 8 (3.12%) with positive both histology and RUT and 7 (2.73%) with positive histology and FAT. The sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive values for RUT were as follows: 97.27%, 85.71% and 99.20% respectively and 96.88%, 85.71% and 99.20% respectively for FAT. Conclusions: RUT or FAT in patients with positive serological test could be used for rapid diagnosis of active h. pylori infection with good sensitivity and specificity without waiting for the results of histology or culture.

mechanisms of action of leptin in preventing gastric ulcer

To investigate the effects of leptin （1-20μg/kg） on acidified ethanol （AE）- and indomethacin （Indo）-induced gastric lesions in rats and compare it with ranitidine, lansoprazole, and omeprazole and to determine its mechanisms of ***： Gastric ulcers, which were approximately 1 mm in width, formed in the glandular portion of the gastric mucosa produced by oral administration of either AE or Indo were taken as ulcer index. The inhibitory effect of subcutaneous administration of leptin, two proton pump inhibitors （PPIs） lansoprazole and omeprazole, or h2-receptor antagonist ranitidine 30 min before AE or Indo was evaluated.A radioimmunoassay was used to determine the PGE2 concentration in the homogenate of the glandular portion of the stomach. We performed histological study of the glandular stomach for the evaluation of total, acidic, and sulfated mucus ***： Subcutaneous administration of leptin, two PPI slansoprazole and omeprazole or h2-receptor antagonist ranitidine 30 min before AE or Indo produced a dosedependent and reproducible inhibition of gastric ulcers （GUs）. This inhibition was found to be more potent than other antagonists used. In N^G-nitro L-arginine methyl ester （L-NAmE）-pretreated animals, the ulcer prevention ability of leptin in AE-induced ulcer was significantly reduced,compared to rats without L-NAmE pretreatment. however,the ulcer prevention ability of leptin was not altered by L-NAmE treatment in Indo-induced ulcers. Leptin produced a dose-dependent increase in PGE2 level in the gastric glandular tissues. Leptin also increased mucus ***： The results of the present study show that leptin inhibits GU formation by AE or Indo in a dosedependent and reproducible manner in rats. The results also suggest that leptin prevents ulcer formation by increasing the activities of the cyclo-oxygenase and/or nitric oxide pathways and by increasing mucus secretion.
