Sea-blue histiocytes syndrome: Case report and review of literature

A 57-year-old female was admitted with pancytopenia, and mild splenomegaly. The multiple myeloma diagnosis was wrongly made since the discovery of monoclonal peak to the protein electrophoresis. Further microscopic examination of bone marrow revealed the accumulation of sea-blue histiocytes. The evolution was stable and the patient did not receive any treatment due to the lack of nervous symptoms.

Background: The relatively suboptimal results of whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT) alone in eradication of brain metastases and an attempt to improve outcomes with WBRT have led to studies combining radiotherapy with chemotherapy drugs that could act as radiosensitizers with a rationale of improving local tumor control. Materials and Methods: This randomized phase II study evaluated the use of Irinotecan concomitant with 37.5 Gray (Gy) of WBRT in 2.5 Gy daily fractions × 5 days each week for 3 weeks versus Whole WBRT alone in patients with brain metastasis (BM) from solid tumors. Fifty patients were randomized to receive either WBRT alone or concomitant with three irinotecan IV infusions 80 mg/m2, 2 hrs before RT on days 1, 8, and 15. Results: The objective response rate (ORR) was significantly improved in patients receiving Irinotecan with radiotherapy versus radiotherapy alone (48% vs. 28%;p = 0.048). The median time to progression of brain metastasis was significantly longer in the irinotecan and WBRT arm as compared to the WBRT arm (8 vs. 5 months;p ell tolerated and did not interfere with the delivery of WBRT. Conclusions: Irinotecan concomitant with WBRT was well tolerated and significantly improved local control of BM compared with WBRT alone. These findings require confirmation in a phase III trial with addition of quality of life assessment.

In the present work, the collinear equilibrium points of the restricted three-body problem are studied under the effect of oblateness of the bigger primary using an analytical and numerical approach. The periodic orbits around these points are investigated for the Earth-Moon system. The Lissajous orbits and the phase spaces are obtained under the effect of oblateness.

The transition energies and electric dipole （el） transition rates of the K, L, and M lines in neutral Np have been theoretically determined from the MultiConfiguration Dirac-Fock （MCDF） method. In the calculations, the contributions from Breit interaction and quantum electrodynamics （QED） effects （vacuum polarization and self-energy）, as well as nu- clear finite mass and volume effects, are taken into account. The calculated transition energies and rates are found to be in good agreement with other experimental and theoretical results. The accuracy of the results is estimated and discussed. Furthermore, we calculated the transition energies of the same lines radiating from the decaying transitions of the K-, L-, and M-shell hole states of Np ions with the charge states Np1＋ to Np6＋ for the first time. We found that for a specific line, the corresponding transition energies relating to all the Np ions are almost the same; it means the outermost electrons have a very small influence on the inner-shell transition processes.

The corrosion behavior of an Al1050/AZ31/Al1050 multilayered hybrid composite fabricated by the accumulated roll bonding (ARB) technique up to six cycles in a 3.5% NaCl (wt.%) solution has been studied through potentiodynamic polarization tests (PDP)， electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)， scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDS)， Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD). In order to deeply apprehend the corrosion resistance and corrosion products of the Al1050/AZ31/Al1050 multilayered hybrid composite， almost similar investigation were performed on the Al1050/Al1050/Al1050 multilayered sample elaborated by ARB up to one cycle. Potentiodynamic polarization plots and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy showed that the corrosion rate was strongly affected by the ARB strain level. A higher corrosion rate and reduced polarization resistance were evidenced compared to the Al1050/Al1050/Al1050 multilayered sample. The AZ31 layers seemed to dominate the corrosion process. Raman and XRD analysis did confirm the presence of the main corrosion product that was Mg(OH)2and the absence of any chloride such as (Mg(OH)2)·MgCl2.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the nitrate contamination in the plioquaternary aquifer of Sais Basin based on a statistical approach. A total of 98 samples were collected in the cultivated area during the spring and autumn period of 2018. The results show that 55% and 57% of the samples in spring and autumn respectively exceed the threshold fixed by WHO(50 mg/L). However, nitrate concentrations do not show seasonal and spatial variation(p>0.05). The results of the correlation matrix, principal component analysis(PCA), and hierarchical cluster analysis(HCA) suggest that nitrate pollution is related to anthropogenic source. Moreover, multiple linear regression results show that NO3 is more positively explained in the spring period by Ca and SO4 and negatively explained by pH and HCO3. Regarding the autumn period, nitrate pollution is positively explained by Ca and negatively by pH. This study proposes a useful statistical platform for assessing nitrate pollution in groundwater.

Mechanization is a depollution activity,because it provides an energetic and ecological response to the problem of organic waste *** burning,biogas from mechanization reduces gas pollution from fermentation by a factor of *** study aims to better understand the influence of the seasons on the emitted biogas in the landfill of the city *** composition of the biogas that naturally emanates from the landfill has been continuously analyzed by our intelligent system,from different wells drilled in recent and old waste *** the rainy season,the average production of methane,carbon dioxide,and oxygen and nitrogen are currently 56%,32%,and 1%,respectively,compared to 51%,31%,and 0.8%,respectively,for old *** levels,potential fire,and explosion risks associated with biogas are lower than those of natural gases in most *** this reason a system is proposed to measure and monitor the biogas production of the landfill site *** results carried out at various sites of the landfill in the city of Mohammedia by the system show that the biogas contents present dangers and sanitary risks which are of another order.

研究累积叠轧焊(ARB)Al1050/AZ31/Al1050多层复合材料的腐蚀行为,腐蚀介质为3.5%Na Cl(质量分数)溶液,分析测试手段包括动电位极化测试(PDP)、电化学阻抗谱(EIS)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM-EDS)、拉曼光谱和X射线衍射(XRD)等。为了深入研究Al1050/AZ31/Al1050多层复合材料的耐腐蚀性和腐蚀产物,对ARB制备的Al1050/Al1050/Al1050多层复合材料进行了相似的测试作为对比。动电位极化曲线和电化学阻抗谱显示,ARB应变水平会显著影响腐蚀速率。与Al1050/Al1050/Al1050样品相比,Al1050/AZ31/Al1050多层复合材料具有更高的腐蚀速率和更低的极化电阻。AZ31层对腐蚀过程起主导作用。拉曼和XRD分析结果表明主要腐蚀产物为Mg(OH)2,且不含任何氯化合物(如(Mg(OH)_(2))·MgCl_(2))。
