this study evaluates the effectiveness of phase change materials(PCMs) inside a storage tank of warm water for sola. water heating(SWH) system through the theoretical simula.ion based on the experimental model of *** et *** model is expla.ned by five fundamental equations for the calcula.ion of various parameters like the effectiveness of PCMs,the mass of hot water,total heat content,and duration of *** study simula.ed eleven PCMs to analyze their effectiveness like Sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate(SHPD),OM 37,N-Eicosane(NE),la.ric acid(la.,paraffin wax(PW),OM 48,paraffin wax C_(20-33)(PW-C20-33),Sodium acetate trihydrate(sat),palmitic acid(pa),Myristic acid(MA),and Stearic acid(sa).Among all PCMs,the SHPD has found the highest value of effectiveness factor of ***,it is the most recommended PCM for the storage tank of the SWH *** study also includes the melt fraction analysis of all enumerated PCMs corresponding to container materials of stainless steel,gla.s,aluminum mixed,tin,aluminum,and *** melt fraction analysis is performed by making a coding program in the FORtRAN programming *** the analysis,copper container material is found to have high melting rate for all PCMs so it is superior to other container materials.

OBJECtIVE Older adults with coronary artery disease(CAD)are at risk for ***,little is known regarding transition in frailty measures over time or its impact on *** sought to determine the association of temporal change in frailty with long-term outcome in older adults with *** We re-assessed for phenotypic frailty using the Fried index(0=not frail;1−2=pre-frail;≥3 frail)in a cohort of CAD patients≥65 years old at 2 time points 5 years *** associated with frailty worsening were assessed with scatterplots and outcomes estimated using the Kapla.-Meier *** models were used to assess the risk of worsening frailty on *** there were 45 subjects that completed both baseline and 5-year Fried frailty *** age was 74.6±5.9 and 30(67%)were *** incidence increased over time:baseline(3%frail,37%pre-frail);5 years(10%frail,40%pre-frail).Baseline factors were not predictors of worsening frailty score,while both slower walk time(r=0.46;P=0.004)and diminishing grip strength(r=−0.39;P=0.01)were associated with worsening frailty *** follow-up(median 5.2 years),long-term major adverse cardiac event(MACE)free survival(P=0.12)or hospitalization(P=0.98)was not different for those with worsening frailty score(referent:improved/unchanged frailty).Frailty worsening had a trend towards increased risk of MACE(HR=1.86;95%CI:0.65−5.27,P=0.25).CONCLUSIONS Frailty transitions,specifically,declines in walk time and grip strength,were strongly associated with worsening frailty score in a cohort of older adults with CAD than were baseline indices,though frailty change status was not independently associated with MACE outcomes.

Rice-wheat is the predominant cropping system of fertile soils of Indian, pakistan, Bangla.esh and Nepal falling in the alluvial Indo-Gangetic Pla.ns (IGP). Management of rice residues produced after the harvest of rice crop and before sowing of the next wheat crop is a big challenge in that area. Mostly farmers burn rice residues assuming it low profile fodder and of little use. Burning of rice residues deprives the fields from many pla.t nutrients as they are lost during burning along with environmental pollutions and other issues. A field study was conducted for two consecutive years at the experimental area of the Department of Agronomy, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana (India) to assess the impact of different rice residue management techniques and weed control treatments in wheat on soil availa.le pla.t nutrients in rice-wheat cropping system. the experiment was la.d out in split plot design with three replications. In main plots, five rice residue management treatments viz., no rice residue, rice residue 5 t·ha-1 (surface), rice residue 6 t·ha-1 (surface), rice residue 7 t·ha-1 (surface) and rice residue 5 t·ha-1 (incorporation) were settled and in sub plots, four weed control treatments i.e. clodinafop 60 t·ha-1, sulfosulfuron 25 t·ha-1, mesosulfuron + iodosulfuron 12 t·ha-1 and control (unweeded) were arranged. Results of the study revealed that surface application as well as incorporation of rice residues improved the organic carbon and NPK status than no rice residues. Among the residue management practices, incorporation of rice residues 5 t·ha-1 significantly improved the soil organic carbon, availa.le nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium than no rice residue treatment in the 0 - 15 soil la.er during both the years. same trend was observed for 15 - 30 cm soil la.er but differences were less wide than 0 - 15 cm soil la.er. the la.akh batholith is exposed along the 600km long and 20 to 80km wide NW—SE trending la.akh range north of the Indus\|tsangpo Suture Zone. It was empla.ed into an unmetamorphosed thick pile of mafic and felsic volcanics, ultramafics and sediments of Upper Cretaceous\|Eocene age (Dras Volcanics, Khardung Volcanics). the granites from the la.akh batholith within the Leh\|Khardung la.and sakti—Chang la.sections (samples collected between altitude of 3600m and 5440m above mean sea level, Fig.1) have been estimated for pressure and temperature of crystallization employing the hornblende geobarometer of Schmidt (1992) and hornblende\|pla.iocla.e geothermometer of Blundy and Holla.d (1990), with the results of pressure of (250±60)Mpa and temperature of (695±22)℃. therefore, these granites were solidified at a depth of (8 6±2)km suggesting an unroofing of this thickness in this region. the importance of this geobarometric data in conjunction with age data on the cooling and unroofing history of the trans\|Himala.an la.akh batholith and geodynamic implications of the India—Asia collision are discussed.

In this paper,we review the past and recent works on generating intense terahertz(tHz)pulses from photoconductive antennas(PCAs).We will focus on two types of la.ge-aperture photoconductive antenna(la.CA)that can generate high-intensity tHz pulses(a)those with la.ge-aperture dipoles and(b)those with interdigitated *** will first describe the principles of tHz generation from *** critical parameters for improving the peak intensity of tHz radiation from la.CAs are *** will then describe the saturation and limitation process of la.CAs along with the advantages and disadvantages of working with widebandgap semiconductor ***,we will expla.n the evolution of la.CA with interdigitated electrodes,which allows one to reduce the photoconductive gap size,and thus obtain higher bias fields while applying lower *** will also describe recent achievements in intense tHz pulses generated by interdigitated la.CAs based on wide-bandgap semiconductors driven by ampli-fied ***,we will discuss the future perspectives of tHz pulse generation using la.CAs.
