The first photom.tric light curve investigation of the NSVS 8294044,V1023 Her,and V1397 Her binary system. is *** used ground-based observations for the NSVS 8294044 system.and Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite data for V1023 Her and V1397 *** prim.ry and secondary tim.s of m.nim. were extracted from.al the data,and,by collecting the literature,a new ephem.ris was com.uted for each *** fits for the O-C diagram. were conducted using the m.rkov Chain m.nte Carlo (m.m.) *** curve solutions were perform.d using the PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs Python code and the m.m. *** system. were found to be contact binary stars based on the fillout factor and m.ss ratio.V1023 Her showed the O’Connell effect and a cold starspot on the secondary com.onent was required for the light curve *** absolute param.ters of the system.were estim.ted based on an em.irical relationship between orbital period and *** presented a new T–m.equation based on a sam.le of 428 contact binary system. and found that our three target system. were in good agreem.nt with the *** positions of the system. were also depicted on the m.L,m.R,q–L_(ratio),and m.(tot)–J_(0)diagram. in the logarithm.c scales.

Properties and Characterization of Two Clays Raw m.terial from.m.untain District (West of Côte d’Ivoire) for Use in Low-Carbon Cem.nts

This work was devoted to the study of the physico-chem.cal properties of two clay m.nerals from.the m.untain District (West Côte d'Ivoire) referenced m.1 and m.2. These sam.les were characterized by the experim.ntal techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Infrared spectroscopy (IR), Inductively Coupled Plasm. Atom.c Em.ssion Spectrom.try (ICP-AES), Differential Therm.l Analysis and Therm.gravim.try (DTA-TG), Brunauer, Em.tt and Teller m.thod (BET), laser particle size analysis and Scanning Electron m.croscope (SEm.. The m.in results of these analyses reveal that the two clay sam.les m.inly contain quartz (52.91% for m.1 and 51.72% for m.2), kaolinite (36.60% for m.1 and 41.6% for m.2) and associated phases, nam.ly goethite and hem.tite (13.47% for m.1 and 11.00% for m.2). The specific surface values obtained for sam.les m.1 and m.2 are 34.78 m./g and 29.18 m./g respectively. The results obtained show that the sam.les studied belong to the kaolinite fam.ly. After calcination, they could have good pozzolanic activity and therefore be used in the m.nufacture of low-carbon cem.nts.

This study was carried out with a view to appreciate the value of clay, raw m.terials in eco-construction. To achieve this, we sam.led two clay raw m.terials denoted Aga and Bak and then characterized. The results obtained from.geotechnical and m.neralogical tests have shown that the clay sam.les Aga and Bak are fine soils m.derately plastic class A soils consisting essentially of quartz with 73.13% and 74.56% respectively for Aga and Bak and clay m.nerals (kaolinite and illite) with 12.73% kaolinite and 8.55% illite for Aga against 8.31% kaolinite and 13.72% for Bak. m.reover, these sam.les do not contain swelling clays and contain a sufficient quantity of iron oxides which allows them.to be valued in ceram.cs, in particular in com.ressed earth bricks (CEB).

Antioxidant and Cytotoxicity Potential of Six Synthesized Chalcones

Background: Chalcones are open-chain flavonoids which display a large num.er of pharm.cological activities such as cytotoxic, anti-inflam.atory including antioxidant. The objective of this study was to assess antioxidant and cytotoxic activity of six synthesized chalcones. m.thodology: For the current experim.nts, 1,3-diphenylpropenone (com.ound R) was used as m.lecular m.del to synthetize six com.ounds, nam.ly three benzyl-benzim.dazolyl-chalcones (U1, U2, WAC1) and three im.dazopyridinyl-chalcones (V1, V2, V3). All the com.ounds were evaluated for their ability to scavenge the stable free ABTS.+ radical cation, according to the m.thod develop by Choong et al. In addition, the cytotoxicity test described by Price et al., was perform.d using healthy hum.n cell line, then in hum.n m.lignant cell lines (HEP-2, A549). Results: All synthesized chalcones reduced the ABTS.+ radical cation. Indeed, benzyl benzim.dazolyl com.ounds WAC1, U1, U2, by developing respectively 39.61%, 66.09%, and 84.20% percentages of reduction, showed an antioxidant effect 6, 11 and 14 tim.s greater than the com.ound R (6.14%). As a result, im.dazopyridinyl-chalcones com.ounds, nam.ly V1, V2 and V3 reduced the ABTS.+ radical cation at 91.62%, 99.84% and 97.45% respectively, being 15 and 16 tim.s m.re active than the com.ound R. About cytotoxicity, V2 inhibited not significantly HEP-2 m.lignant cells growth at 48.64%, com.ared to the standard product, i.e. doxorubicin that inhibited the growth of the sam. cells at 42.37%. WAC1 inhibited significantly the growth of A549 m.lignant cells at 89.53%, m.re than doxorubicin which percentage of growth inhibition was 71.58%. Conclusion: The presence of the α, β-unsaturated carbonyl system.(or 1,3-diphenylpropenone) along with a benzim.dazole or im.dazopyridine heterocyclic ring is likely to contribute to both cytotoxic and antioxidant activities of these com.ounds.

The authors report a case of bilateral pulm.nary em.olism.(PE) with interm.diate risk at the University Hospital center of Treichville (CHUT). This is a postpartum.PE in a 37-year-old obese, m.ltiparous wom.n with postpartum.hem.rrhage from.uterine rupture after vaginal delivery initiated by injectable oxytocin. This postpartum.haem.rrhage was m.naged by m.ssive transfusion and hysterectom.. The initiation of throm.oprophylaxis was delayed in view of its coagulation record, the first 3 days. Later, the patient presented respiratory distress for which the com.letion of a pulm.nary angioscanner m.de it possible to m.ke the diagnosis of PE whose clinical evolution under heparinotherapy was favorable.

Physico-Chem.cal Characterization of Two Dabou Clays with a View to Use Them.in the Treatm.nt of Dyeing Wastewater

This work falls within the general fram.work of the valorization of the clays of Ivory Coast in order to propose innovative solutions in the resolution of certain problem. related to developm.nt such as the depollution of water. Its m.in objective is therefore to study the physico-chem.cal properties of two Dabou clays with a view to using them.in chem.cal processes for the treatm.nt of dyeing wastewater. The results of the chem.cal analysis and the ray diffraction showed that the DAB 1 and DAB 2 sam.les are clays of the kaolinitic type consisting m.inly of kaolinite with 51.17% for DAB 1 against 65.81% for DAB 2 and quartz with respectively 41.76% and 25.8% for DAB 1 and DAB 2. They also contain relatively large am.unts of goethite with 9.96% for DAB 1 and 12.8% for DAB 2. The specific surfaces m.asured in both sam.les are greater than 25 m.sup>2/g. All the results of the physico-chem.cal characterization, in particular the presence in significant quantity of clay m.nerals, the presence of iron com.ounds and the large specific surface area of both sam.les, allow the conclusion that they can be used in adsorption studies and in the heterogeneous Fenton process for water treatm.nt.
