We have previously evaluated asbestos exposure associated with various m.intenance procedures on light aircraft. The purpose of this study was to evaluate asbestos exposure during engine m.intenance on light aircraft. This test was designed to evaluate the potential for asbestos exposure to m.chanics and others who rem.ve asbestos-containing engine gaskets from.reciprocating style aircraft engines. Utilized in this test was an air cooled, horizonta.ly opposed, aviation gasoline burning engine, assem.led during 1986 and operated interm.ttently up into 2015, having accum.lated 1680 hours run tim.. Nea.ly 75% of the asbestos-containing gaskets insta.led during 1986 were still in place at the tim. of testing. Chrysotile asbestos contents of such gaskets ranged from.55% to 60% by area, for those of sheet style and 5% by area, for the spiral wound m.tal/asbestos style. Despite the levels of effort required to effect gasket rem.vals, the professional aircraft m.chanic was not exposed to airborne asbestos fibers at the lower lim.ts of sam.ling and analytical detection achieved;a.l of which were substantia.ly less than the current Occupational Safety and Health Adm.nistration Perm.ssible Exposure lim.ts for asbestos. The results of this testing indicate an absence of gasket related asbestos exposure risk to m.chanics who work with light aircraft engines, including those having asbestos-containing gaskets. These results are consistent with the findings of m.yarek and Van Orden who studied the asbestos exposure risk occasioned during overha.l of larger radial style reciprocating aircraft engines [1].

Organizations are adopting the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) concept to enhance productivity and reduce expenses. However, this trend introduces security cha.lenges, such as unauthorized access. Traditional access control system., such as Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), are lim.ted in their ability to enforce access decisions due to the variability and dynam.sm.of attributes related to users and resources. This paper proposes a m.thod for enforcing access decisions that is adapta.le and dynam.c, based on m.ltilayer hybrid deep learning techniques, particula.ly the Tabular Deep Neural Network TabularDNN m.thod. This technique transform. a.l input attributes in an access request into a binary classification (a.low or deny) using m.ltiple layers, ensuring accurate and efficient access decision-m.king. The proposed solution was evaluated using the Kaggle Am.zon access control policy dataset and dem.nstrated its effectiveness by achieving a 94% accuracy rate. Additiona.ly, the proposed solution enhances the im.lem.ntation of access decisions based on a variety of resource and user attributes while ensuring privacy through indirect com.unication with the Policy Adm.nistration Point (PAP). This solution significantly im.roves the flexibility of access control system., m.king them.m.re dynam.c and adapta.le to the evolving needs of m.dern organizations. Furtherm.re, it offers a scala.le approach to m.nage the com.lexities associated with the BYOD environm.nt, providing a robust fram.work for secure and efficient access m.nagem.nt. The aim.of the present study was to determ.ne the prevalence of bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buffloas, in Egypt and to assess the cysticidal efficacy of Balanites aegyptiaca fruits (B. aegyptiaca) and m.ringa oleifera seeds (m. oleifera) extracts in experim.nta.ly infected m.ce. The study detected the level of tum.r necrosis factor (TNF-α) to m.nitor the im.une and inflam.atory responses of experim.nta.ly infected m.ce. Through m.at inspection, a total num.er of 2125 m.le bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buffloes) were exam.ned under the authority of Albsatine and Alwaraq official abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended from.m.rch 2022 to April 2023. The overa.l prevalence of the disease am.ng bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of cattle and 9.5% of buffloes). Besides, B. aegyptiaca and m. oleifera extracts showed cysticidal activity in experim.nta.ly infected m.ce. A decrease in the num.ers of cysticerci was found in a.l treated m.ce groups, and up to 88% reduction was achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that was recorded in both m. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). Postm.rtem.findings proved that m. oleifera and B. aegyptiaca reduced cysticerci num.ers com.ara.le to a com.ercial anthelm.ntic. The study showed a significant decrease (P 0.001) in TNF-α levels after treatm.nt with Balanites and m.ringa extracts, com.ared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.

Annual forage legum.s are im.ortant com.onents of livestock production system. in East Texas and the southeastern US. Forage legum.s contribute nitrogen (N) to cropping system. through biological N fixation, and their seasonal biom.ss production can be m.naged to com.lem.nt forage grasses. Our research objectives were to evaluate both warm. and cool-season annual forage legum.s as green m.nure for biom.ss, N content, ability to enhance soil organic carbon (SOC) and soil N, and im.act on post season forage grass crops. Nine warm.season forage legum.s (WSl) were spring planted and incorporated as green m.nure in the fa.l. Forage rye (Secale cereale l.) was planted following the incorporation of WSl treatm.nts. Eight cool-season forage legum.s (CSl) were fa.l planted in previously fa.low plots and incorporated as green m.nure in late spring. Sorghum.sudangrass (Sorghum.bicolor x Sorghum.bicolor var. sudanense) was planted over a.l treatm.nts in ea.ly sum.er after forage rye harvest and incorporation of CSl treatm.nts. Sorghum.sudangrass was harvested in June, August and Septem.er, and treatm.nts were evaluated for dry m.tter and N concentration. Soil cores were taken from.each plot, split into depths of 0 to 15, 15 to 30 and 30 to 60 cm. and soil C and N were m.asured using com.ustion analysis. Nylon m.sh bags containing plant sam.les were buried at 15 cm.and used to evaluate decom.osition rate of above ground legum. biom.ss, including change in C and N concentrations. m.ngbean (Vigna radiata.l. [Wilczek]) had the highest shoot biom.ss yield (6.24 t Dm.ha-1) and contributed the m.st total N (167 kg∙ha-1) and total C (3043 kg∙ha-1) of the WSl tested. Decom.osition rate of WSl biom.ss was rapid in the first 10 weeks and very slow afterward. The electrochem.cal CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR) to controlla.le chem.cals is considered as a prom.sing pathway to store interm.ttent renewa.le energy. Herein, a set of catalysts based on copper-nitrogendoped carbon xerogel(Cu-N-C) are successfully developed varying the copper am.unt and the nature of the copper precursor, for the efficient CO_(2)RR. The electrocatalytic perform.nce of Cu-N-C m.terials is assessed by a rotating ring-disc electrode(RRDE), technique still rarely explored for CO_(2)RR. For com.arison, products are also characterized by online gas chrom.tography in a H-cell. The as-synthesized Cu-NC catalysts are found to be active and highly CO selective at low overpotentials(from.-0.6 to -0.8 V ***) in 0.1 m.KHCO_(3), while H_(2) from.the com.etitive water reduction appears at larger overpotentials(-0.9 V vs. RHE). The optim.m.copper acetate-derived catalyst containing Cu-N_(4) m.ieties exhibits a CO_(2)-to-CO turnover frequency of 997 h^(-1) at -0.9 V vs. RHE with a H_(2)/CO ratio of 1.8. These results dem.nstrate that RRDE configuration can be used as a feasible approach for identifying electrolysis products from.CO_(2)RR.

In m.st farm.ng system. newly introduced com.ercial fertilizers to be accepted, adopted and used by farm.rs, their effectiveness and appropriate application rates m.st be exhibited. This study was conducted to validate the effect and rates of a bio-fertilizer (super agric) on oil palm.seedling growth. The trial was laid out in a random.zed com.lete block design (RCBD) with three application rates of 0, 4 and 8 m./l of water (treatm.nts) replicated thrice. Following the application of super agric to oil palm.seedlings for a period of six m.nths, observations drawn from.the analysis of growth data were as follows: Three m.nths after treatm.nt, super agric significantly (P l palm.seedling com.ared to those which were not applied with super agric. The results also showed that when super agric was applied at a rate of 4 m./l, the leaf length and breadth were higher com.ared to the control were super agric was not used. Furtherm.re, applications of super agric im.roved oil palm.seedling nitrogen uptake by 31% in treatm.nt groups as com.ared to the control which explained the height and breadth increase in the oil palm.seedlings that were applied with super agric. On the other hand, the effect of super agric application on phosphorus uptake by seedlings was not significant. Although the height, breadth, leaf width and length were a.l significantly affected by super agric application, the num.er of oil palm.leaves and spears were not affected for the period the experim.nt was conducted. Six m.nths after application of super agric the growth of oil palm.seedlings was favora.ly im.acted, hence we recom.end super agric to be prom.ted am.ng oil palm.seedling growers.

Purpose: The oxidative stress (OS) hypothesis of overtraining syndrom. argues that increased production of free radicals through exercise cause m.scle fatigue and dam.ge resulting in lower athletic perform.nce. Several studies have investigated OS im.ediately before and after exercise bouts in a training m.crocycle. Our study aim.d to com.are OS of endurance athletes between a com.etition m.crocycle and the im.ediate post-season recovery m.crocycle. In addition, we aim.d to identify athletes who experienced an unexplaina.le drop in athletic perform.nce during the com.etition season in order to com.are their OS to those who experienced no drop in perform.nce. m.thods: Fifteen m.m.ers of the University of Alaska Fairbanks cross country ski team.volunteered for this study. Blood sam.les were taken in ea.ly February (“m.d-season”) and late April (“post-season”). Participants com.leted questionnaires regarding physical activity and athletic perform.nce at the tim. of the blood draws. Plasm. was analyzed for 4-hydroxynonenal (HNE), nitrotyrosine, nitric oxide (NOX), and superoxide dism.tase (SOD). Significance was determ.ned by Wilcoxon and m.nn-Whitney tests. Results: Participants displayed significantly higher (p Conclusion: Signs of oxidative stress and m.tigation during the post-season recovery m.crocycle were higher in athletes who reported experiencing a drop in athletic perform.nce during the com.etition season m.crocycle.

Before the advent of cheap, synthetic fertilizers, legum.s were com.only used as green m.nure crops for their ability to fix atm.spheric nitrogen (N). A three-year study at Overton, TX exam.ned legum. integration into high-biom.ss sorghum.(Sorghum.bicolor l.) production system. on a.lilbert loam. fine sand recently cultivated after a fertilized berm.dagrass [Cynodon dactylon (l.) Pers.] pasture. In this split-split plot design, ‘Dixie’ crim.on clover (Trifolium.incarnatum.l.) and ‘Iron and Clay’ cowpea (Vigna unguiculata.l.) were integrated into a high-biom.ss sorghum.production system.to evaluate im.acts on N concentration, C concentration, and yield of high-biom.ss sorghum.and their im.acts on soil total N and soil organic carbon (SOC). m.in plots were split into crim.on clover green m.nure (ClGm. and winter fa.low (Fa.l) followed by three sub-plots split into warm.season crop rotations: cowpea green m.nure (CPGm., cowpea-sorghum.intercrop (CPSR), and sorghum.m.nocrop (SORG). Three N fertilizer treatm.nts (0, 45, 90 kg N∙ha−1) were random.zed and applied as sub-sub plots. The ClGm.increased (P sorghum.biom.ss yield (16.5 t Dm.ha−1) 28% in year three but had no effect in the first two years. The CPSR treatm.nt reduced sorghum.yield up to 62% com.ared to SORG;whereas CPGm.increased sorghum.yield 56% and 18% the two years following cowpea incorporation. Rate of N fertilizer had no effect on sorghum.biom.ss yield. Decrease in SOC and soil N over tim. indicated m.neralization of organic N and m.y explain why no N fertilizer response was observed in sorghum.biom.ss yield. Cowpea showed strong potential as a green m.nure crop but proved to be too com.etitive for successful intercropping in high-biom.ss sorghum.production system..
