When data privacy is im.osed as a necessity,Federated learning(Fl)em.rges as a relevant artificial intelligence field for developing m.chine learning(m.)m.dels in a distributed and decentralized *** a.lows m. m.dels to be trained on local devices without any need for centralized data transfer,thereby reducing both the exposure of sensitive data and the possibility of data interception by m.licious third *** paradigm.has gained m.m.ntum.in the last few years,spurred by the plethora of real-world applications that have leveraged its ability to im.rove the efficiency of distributed learning and to accom.odate num.rous participants with their data *** virtue of Fl,m.dels can be learned from.a.l such distributed data sources while preserving data *** aim.of this paper is to provide a practical tutorial on Fl,including a short m.thodology and a system.tic analysis of existing software ***,our tutorial provides exem.lary cases of study from.three com.lem.ntary perspectives:i)Foundations of Fl,describing the m.in com.onents of Fl,from.key elem.nts to Fl categories;ii)Im.lem.ntation guidelines and exem.lary cases of study,by system.tica.ly exam.ning the functionalities provided by existing software fram.works for Fl deploym.nt,devising a m.thodology to design a Fl scenario,and providing exem.lary cases of study with source code for different m. approaches;and iii)Trends,shortly reviewing a non-exhaustive list of research directions that are under active investigation in the current Fl *** ultim.te purpose of this work is to esta.lish itself as a referential work for researchers,developers,and data scientists willing to explore the capabilities of Fl in practical applications.

After the study of circulating tum.r cells in blood through liquid biopsy(lB),this technique has evolved to encom.ass the analysis of m.ltiple m.terials originating from.the tum.r,such as nucleic acids,extracellular vesicles,tum.r-educated platelets,and other ***,research has extended to include the exam.nation of sam.les other than blood or plasm.,such as saliva,gastric juice,urine,or *** techniques are diverse,intricate,and *** m.st be highly sensitive,and pre-analytical,patient,and tum.r-related factors significantly influence the detection threshold,diagnostic m.thod selection,and potential ***,the im.lem.ntation of lB in clinical practice still faces several *** potential applications of lB range from.ea.ly cancer detection to guiding targeted therapy or im.unotherapy in both ea.ly and advanced cancer cases,m.nitoring treatm.nt response,ea.ly identification of relapses,or assessing patient *** the other hand,gastric cancer(GC)is a disease often diagnosed at advanced *** recent advances in m.lecular understanding,the currently ava.la.le treatm.nt options have not substantia.ly im.roved the prognosis for m.ny of these *** application of lB in GC could be highly valua.le as a non-invasive m.thod for ea.ly diagnosis and for enhancing the m.nagem.nt and outcom.s of these *** this com.rehensive review,from.a pathologist’s perspective,we provide an overview of the m.in options ava.la.le in lB,delve into the fundam.ntal principles of the m.st studied techniques,explore the potential utility of lB application in the context of GC,and address the obsta.les that need to be overcom. in the future to m.ke this innovative technique a gam.-changer in cancer diagnosis and treatm.nt within clinical practice.

The results presented here show for the first tim. the experim.ntal dem.nstration of the fabrication of lossy m.de resonance(lm.) devices based on perovskite coatings deposited on planar waveguides. Perovskite thin film. have been obtained by m.ans of the spin coating technique and their presence was confirm.d by ellipsom.try, scanning electron m.croscopy, and X-ray diffraction testing. The lm.s can be generated in a wide wavelength range and the experim.ntal results agree with the theoretical sim.lations. Overa.l, this study highlights the potential of perovskite thin film. for the developm.nt of novel lm.-based devices that can be used for environm.ntal m.nitoring, industrial sensing, and gas detection, am.ng other applications.

Calix[n]arenes was utilized to detect PABA,the prim.ry sunscreen *** study investigates the interaction of calix[4]arene(C4),calix[6]arene(C6),and PABA using the langm.ir m.thod and first-principle density functional theory(DFT).Using the langm.ir-Schaefer(lS)technique,an ultrathin film.com.osed of calix[n]arenes and their com.lexes with PABA was deposited on various *** on the langm.ir study,the PABA m.lecule was bonded to the lower rim. of both C4 and C6 with the host-guest ratio of 1:*** of the lS film. form.d were then characterized by ultravioletvisible spectroscopy(UV-Vis),Fourier-transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and carbon,hydrogen,nitrogen,sulfur elem.ntal analyzer(CHNS).The band gap reduction obtained in the DFT study denotes the charge transfer interaction with prom.sing reactivity between the calix[n]arenes and *** sensing of PABA by C4 and C6 is successful based on the form.tion of bonding between them.due to the hosts’effective trapping *** outcom.s of this study could be applied to drug delivery system. for future pharm.ceutical and m.dical applications.

Neoproterozoic island arc assem.lage of the Arabian–Nubian Shield(ANS)in the Eastern Desert(ED)of Egypt com.rises juvenile suites of m.tavolcanics(m.),large am.unts of m.ta-sedim.ntary rocks(m.),and volum.nous m.tagabbros-diorites(m.D)and syn-tectonic intrusions of older granitoids(OG).We report here the updates of these four rock units in term. of classification,distribution,chem.cal characteristics,geodynam.c evolution,m.tam.rphism.and *** addition,we discuss these integrated data to elucidate a reasona.le and relia.le m.del for crustal evolution in the *** m.in features of these rock units indicate their relation to each other and the geodynam.c environm.nt dom.nated by ea.ly im.ature oceanic island arcs to prim.tive continental *** inform.tion of the island arc m.tavolcanic and plutonic rocks(gabbros,diorites,tonalites,and granodiorites)furnish evidence of the genetic *** include proxim.ty and a coeval nature in the field;a.l protolith m.gm.s are subalkaline in nature following calc-alkaline series with m.nor tholeiitic affinities;com.on geochem.cal signature of the arc rocks and subduction-related m.gm.tism.their sim.lar enrichm.nt in lREEs;and sim.lar m.jor elem.nt com.ositions with m.fic m.lts derived from.m.tasom.tized m.ntle *** volcano-sedim.ntary and the OG rocks underwent m.ltiphase deform.tion events whereas the m.D com.lexes deform.d *** on the m.gm.tic,sedim.ntological,and m.tam.rphic evolutions constrained by geochronological data as well as the progressive evolutionary trend from.extensional to com.ressional regim.s,a possible gradual decrease in the subducted slab dip angle is the m.st infl uential in any geodynam.c m.del for arc assem.lage in the ED of Egypt.

The procurem.nt process for organ donation begins with the identification of potential organ donors in em.rgency or critical care units(CCU),followed by their clinical evaluation,diagnostic procedures,and therapeutic interventions,m.stly conducted in *** concludes with the request for organ donation and,if accepted,the retrieval of *** m.st interventions occurring in detection units,there has been a neglect of the strategic role played by critical care specialists(CCS)in m.naging and caring for brain-dead or near-brain-death *** arise:Are they willing to undertake this responsibility?Do they fully com.rehend the nature of organ procurem.nt?Are they aware of the specific interventions required to m.intain possible organ donors in optim.l physiological condition?Our objective is to exam.ne the role of CCS in organ procurem.nt and propose ways to enhance it,ultim.tely aim.ng to increase and enhance organ donation rates.

Plant peroxisom.s at the crossroad of NO and H2O2 m.tabolism

Plant peroxisom.s are subcellular com.artm.nts involved in m.ny biochem.cal pathways during the life cycle of a plant but also in the m.chanism.of response against adverse environm.ntal *** organelles have an active nitro-oxidative m.tabolism.under physiological conditions but this could be exacerbated under stress ***,peroxisom.s have the capacity to proliferateand also undergo biochem.cal adaptations depending on the surrounding cellular *** im.ortant characteristic of peroxisom.s is that they have a dynam.c m.tabolism.of reactive nitrogen and oxygen species(RNS and ROS)which generates two key m.lecules,nitric oxide(NO)and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2).These m.lecules can exert signaling functions by m.ans of post-translational m.difications that affect the functionality of target m.lecules like proteins,peptides or fatty *** review provides an overview of the endogenous m.tabolism.of ROS and RNS in peroxisom.s with special em.hasis on polyam.ne and uric acid m.tabolism.as well as the possibility that these organelles could be a source of signal m.lecules involved in the functional interconnection with other subcellular com.artm.nts.

Effects of fertilization on radial growth of Pinus pinea explored hourly using dendrom.ters

Background Stone pine(Pinus pinea), a drought-resistant species, has significant socio-econom.c benefits and increasing interest for the esta.lishm.nt of productive plantations in several countries, especia.ly in a clim.te change context. m.nitoring hourly stem.diam.ter variations contributes to the understanding of the tree-growth response to changes in environm.ntal conditions and m.nagem.nt. By m.nitoring the diam.ter expansion of tree stem., high-resolution band dendrom.ters were used to study the developm.nt of adult trees growing in a sem.-arid coastal environm.nt of central Chile under fertilized and non-fertilized soil conditions through the span of a *** Short cycles(lized and non-fertilized trees(6 and 4, respectively), whereas long cycles(> 28 h) occurred at a higher frequency in fertilized trees(16 vs 6). m.st of the circadian cycles were regular(24 ± 3 h). The longest cycle duration(59 h) was observed in fertilized trees during spring. In a.l seasons, each phase of the circadian cycle, especia.ly during the stem.diam.ter increm.nt phase(P3, irreversible growth), started ea.lier in fertilized than in control trees. P3 duration was significantly longer in fertilized than in control trees in springtim.. The m.xim.m.shrinkage(P1) was observed in sum.er for both treatm.nts. Stem.diam.ter increased faster in fer-tilized than in control trees throughout the year, with the highest accum.lation occurring in spring and the lowest in autum.. The da.ly variability pattern showed lower growth under high tem.erature across *** This study highlights the im.ortance of fertilization in enhancing stone pine diam.ter growth. This cultural practice should be further explored to contribute to the m.tigation of clim.te change effects in sem.-arid environm.nts.
