Highway safety researchers focus on crash injury severity,utilizing deep learning—specifically,deep neural networks(DNN),deep convolutional neural networks(D-CNN),and deep recurrent neural networks(D-RNN)—as the preferred method for modeling accident *** learning’s strength lies in handling intricate relation-ships within extensive da.a.ets,making it popular for accident severity level(ASL)prediction and *** prior success,there is a need for an efficient system recognizing ASL in diverse road *** address this,we present an innovative Accident Severity Level Prediction Deep Learning(ASLP-DL)framework,incorporating DNN,D-CNN,and D-RNN models fine-tuned through iterative hyperpa.a.eter selection with Stochastic Gradient *** framework optimizes hidden layers and integrates da.a.augmentation,Gaussian noise,and dropout regularization for improved *** and factor contribution a.a.yses identify influential *** on three diverse crash record da.a.ases—NCDB 2018–2019,UK 2015–2020,and US 2016–2021—the D-RNN model excels with an ACC score of 89.0281%,a Roc Area of 0.751,an F-estimate of 0.941,and a Kappa score of 0.0629 over the NCDB *** proposed framework consistently outperforms traditional methods,existing machine learning,and deep learning techniques.

Older adults in disaster contexts are often thought of as a passive, vulnerable population that lacks agency and ca.a.ities to cope in the aftermath. However, it can be argued that older adults may have underrecognized strengths that can be utilized pre-, peri-, and post-disaster. One of these strengths is older adults' unique social capital that stems from long-standing connections with other members of their respective communities. Using da.a.from in-depth, semistructured interviews with farmers in British Columbia 3–11 months after the 2021 floods, this research explored the experiences of older adult farmers' recovery. The farmers discussed how they leveraged their social capital to aid in their recovery efforts from the flood event. By using their bonding social capital, older adult farmers transformed their existing, deep-rooted connections into post-disaster assistance. This, in turn, generated the idea of the therapeutic community, helping community members cope in the aftermath. This research indicated the need to further examine how older adults in disaster settings can be viewed as assets with community knowledge and skills as opposed to solely as a vulnerable population.

The industrial sector is vital to economic progress,yet industrial pollution poses environmental and economic *** purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of green industrial transformation in re-ducing Pakistan’s carbon intensity between 1975 and *** emissions are considered an endogenous construct,while foreign direct investment(FDI)inflows,technological innovation,green industrial transforma-tion,environmental legislation,and research and development(R&D)investment are possible *** association between variables is assessed using the robust least-squares *** industrial transforma-tion is connected with lower carbon emissions,yet technical innovation,R&D investment,and inbound FDI raise a country’s carbon *** findings support the pollution haven hypothesis in a *** causality esti-mates indicate that inward FDI contributes to environmental regulations;green industrial transformation directly relates to inbound FDI and R&D expenditures;and technological innovations correspond to inbound FDI,R&D ex-penditures,industrial ecofriendly progression,and environmental *** to the impulse response function,environmental policies are anticipated to have a differential effect on carbon emissions in 2023,2024,2028-2030,while they are likely to decrease in the years 2025-2027 and 2031 ***,inward FDI and technology advancements would almost certainly result in a rise in carbon emissions over *** industrial transitions are projected to result in a ten-year reduction in carbon *** variance decomposi-tion a.a.ysis indicates that eco-friendly industrial a.a.tations would likely have the largest variance error shock on carbon emissions(11.747%),followed by inbound FDI,technological advancements,and regulatory changes,with R&D spending having a minimal impact over ***’s economy should foster a green industrial revolution to avoid pollution and increase environm
