Photoluminescence and ratiometric thermo-response of Eu^(2+)and Eu^(3+)in BaAl_(2)B_(2)O_(7):Eu^(2+),Eu^(3+)phosphor materials

A novel Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphor was developed and synthesized by solid-state *** valence state of Eu,photoluminescence and thermo-sensitive performance of the phosphor prepared either in ambient air or carbothermally were investigated and *** phosphor shows high sensitivity(Sa=0.0173 K^(-1),S_(r)=0.461%/K)and superior signal discriminability(Δν∼10380 cm^(−1)).The thermo-sensitive performance is subject to the dual effects of different thermo-responses by Eu^(2+)versus Eu^(3+)combined with energy transfer from Eu^(2+)to Eu^(3+),so that the sensitivity of the phosphor in the temperature range presents a non-monotonic *** development of the BaAl_(2)B_(2)O_(7):Eu^(2+),Eu^(3+)phosphor is not only expected to be relevant for application in the field of temperature sensing,but also of reference significance for improving the sensitivity by means of energy transfer between co-activator ions over a wider temperature range of Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphors.

The interactions between lignin oligomers and solvents determine the behaviors of lignin oligomers self-assembling into uniform lignin nanoparticles(LNPs).Herein,several alcohol solvents,which readily interact with the lignin oligomers,were adopted to study their effects during solvent shifting process for LNPs’*** lignin oligomers with widely distributed molecular weight and abundant guaiacyl units were extracted from wood waste(mainly consists of pine wood),exerting outstanding self-assembly *** and spherical LNPs were generated in H_(2)O-n-propanol cosolvent,whereas irregular LNPs were obtained in H_(2)O-methanol *** unsatisfactory self-assembly performance of the lignin oligomers in H_(2)O-methanol cosolvent could be attributed to two *** one hand,for the initial dissolution state,the distinguishing Hansen solubility parameter and polarity between methanol solvent and lignin oligomers resulted in the poor dispersion of the lignin *** the other hand,strong hydrogen bonds between methanol solvent and lignin oligomers during solvent shifting process,hindered the interactions among the lignin oligomers for self-assembly.

Seismic prediction of cracks is of great significance in many disciplines,for which the rock physics model is ***,up to now,multitudinous analytical models focus primarily on the cracked rock with the isotropic background,while the explicit model for the cracked rock with the anisotropic background is rarely investigated in spite of such case being often encountered in the ***,we first studied dependences of the crack opening displacement tensors on the crack dip angle in the coordinate systems formed by symmetry planes of the crack and the background anisotropy,respectively,by forty groups of numerical *** on the conclusion from the experiments,the analytical solution was derived for the effective elastic properties of the rock with the inclined penny-shaped cracks in the transversely isotropic ***,we comprehensively analyzed,according to the developed model,effects of the crack dip angle,background anisotropy,filling fluid and crack density on the effective elastic properties of the cracked *** analysis results indicate that the dip angle and background anisotropy can significantly either enhance or weaken the anisotropy degrees of the P-and SH-wave velocities,whereas they have relatively small effects on the SV-wave velocity ***,the filling fluid can increase the stiffness coefficients related to the compressional modulus by reducing crack compliance parameters,while its effects on shear coefficients depend on the crack dip *** increasing crack density reduces velocities of the dry rock,and decreasing rates of the velocities are affected by the crack dip *** comparing with exact numerical results and experimental data,it was demonstrated that the proposed model can achieve high-precision estimations of stiffness ***,the assumption of the weakly anisotropic background results in the consistency between the proposed model and Hudson's published theory for the or

The metal-lightweighted electrocatalysts for water splitting are highly desired for sustainable and economic hydrogen energy deployments,but *** this work,a low-content Ni-functionalized approach triggers the high capability of black phosphorene(BP)with hydrogen and oxygen evolution reaction(HER/OER)*** a facile in situ electro-exfoliation route,the ionized Ni sites are covalently functionalized in BP nanosheets with electron redistribution and controllable metal *** is found that the as-fabricated Ni-BP electrocatalysts can drive the water splitting with much enhanced HER and OER *** 1.0 M KOH electrolyte,the optimized 1.5 wt%Nifunctionalized BP nanosheets have readily achieved low overpotentials of 136 mV for HER and 230 mV for OER at 10 ma cm^(−2).Moreover,the covalently bonding between Ni and P has also strengthened the catalytic stability of the Ni-functionalized BP electrocatalyst,stably delivering the overall water splitting for 50 h at 20 ma cm^(−2).Theoretical calculations have revealed that Ni–P covalent binding can regulate the electronic structure and optimize the reaction energy barrier to improve the catalytic activity *** work confirms that Ni-functionalized BP is a suitable candidate for electrocatalytic overall water splitting,and provides effective strategies for constructing metal-lightweighted economic electrocatalysts.

SARS-CoV-2 infections manifest with a broad spectrum of presentations,ranging from asymptomatic infections to severe pneumonia and fatal *** review centers on asymptomatic infections,a widely reported phenomenon that has substantially contributed to the rapid spread of the *** such asymptomatic infections,we focus on the role of innate,humoral,and cellular ***,asymptomatic infections are characterized by an early and robust innate immune response,particularly a swift type 1 iFN reaction,alongside a rapid and broad induction of SARS-CoV-2-specific T ***,antibody levels tend to be lower or undetectable after asymptomatic infections,suggesting that the rapid control of viral replication by innate and cellular responses might impede the full triggering of humoral *** if antibody levels are present in the early convalescent phase,they wane rapidly below serological detection limits,particularly following asymptomatic ***,prevalence studies reliant solely on serological assays likely underestimate the extent of community exposure to the virus.

BACKGROUND Human cystic echinococcosis(CE)is a life-threatening zoonosis caused by the Echinococcus granulosus(sensu lato).Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality in the *** coexistence of CE and HCC is exceedingly rare,and only several well-documented cases have been *** addition to this coexistence,there is no report of the coexistence of CE,HCC,and liver abscess to ***,we aimed to report a case of coexistence of liver abscess,hepatic CE,and *** SUMmaRY A 65-year-old herdsman presented to the department of interventional therapy with jaundice,right upper abdominal distension and pain for 10 *** test showed that he had positive results for HBsAg,HBeAb,HBcAb,and echino-coccosis igG *** test also showed an increased level of alpha fetopro-tein of 3400 ng/*** abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan revealed an uneven enhanced lesion of the liver at the arterial phase with enhancement and was located S4/8 segment of the *** addition,CT scan also revealed a mass in the S6 segment of the liver with a thick calcified wall and according to current guideline and medical images,the diagnoses of hepatic CE(CE4 subtype)and HCC were ***,transarterial chemoembolization was performed for *** the follow-up,liver abscess occurred in addition to CE and HCC;thus,percutaneous liver puncture drainage was *** the next follow-up,CE and HCC were *** liver abscess was completely resolved,and the patient was discharged with no evidence of *** This is the first reported case on the coexistence of liver abscess,hepatic CE,and *** treatment and multidisciplinary discussions should be performed in this ***,treatment and diagnosis should be based on the characteristics of liver abscess,hepatic CE,and HCC,and in future clinical work,it is necessary to be aware of the possibility of this complex composition of liver diseases.

Quercetin compounds have antioxidant,anti-inflammatory and anticancer pharmacological *** exposure to acrylamide(AA)can cause liver injury and endanger human ***,whether quercetin compounds can attenuate AA-induced liver injury and the specific mechanism are not ***,we studied the mechanism and structure-activity relationship of quercetin compounds in reducing AA-induced hepatotoxicity in vivo and in *** vivo studies found that quercetin-like compounds protect against AAinduced liver injury by reducing oxidative stress levels,activating the Akt/m TOR signaling pathway to attenuate autophagy,and improving mitochondrial apoptosis and endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated *** vitro studies found that quercetin compounds protected Hep G2 cells from AA by attenuating the activation of AA-induced autophagy,lowering reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels by exerting antioxidant effects and thus attenuating oxidative stress,increasing mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP),and improving apoptosis-related proteins,thus attenuating AA-induced ***,the conformational differences between quercetin compounds correlated with their protective capacity against AA-induced hepatotoxicity,with quercetin showing the best protective capacity due to its strongest antioxidant *** conclusion,quercetin compounds can protect against AA-induced liver injury through multiple pathways of oxidative stress,autophagy and apoptosis,and their protective capacity correlates with antioxidant activity.

Cracks have consistently been a significant challenge limiting the development of additive manufactured nickel-based *** is essential to investigate the location of cracks and their forming *** study extensively examines the impact of solidification process,microstructural evolution,and stress concentration on crack initiation during direct energy deposition(DED).The results emphasize that the crack formation is significantly related to large-angle grain boundaries,rapid cooling *** caused by large-angle grain boundaries and a fast-cooling rate predominantly appear near the edge of the deposited *** cracks are more likely to form near the top of the deposited sample,due to the presence ofγ/γ'*** secondary dendritic arm and the carbides in the interdendritic regions can obstruct liquid flow during the final stage of solidification,which results in the formation of solidification cracks and *** work paves the way to avoid cracks in nickel-based superalloys fabricated by DED,thereby enhancing the performance of superalloys.

Cobalt selenide(CoSe_(2))has garnered considerable attention as a prospective anode candidate for advanced lithium-ion storage,prompting comprehensive ***,CoSe_(2)-based anodes usually suffer from significant volume variation upon lithiation leading to unsatisfactory cycling ***,a versatile synthesis route is proposed for the in-situ fabrication of CoSe2nanoparticles embedded in N-dope carbon skeleton(CoSe_(2)@NC)through annealing treatment and selenization of a metal–organic framework-derived(MOF)*** N-doped carbon derived from the MOF serves not only as an excellent conductive substrate but also as a confined reactor,effectively inhibiting the structural instability and alleviating the inevitable volume change of CoSe_(2).Owing to their unique nanostructure,the as-prepared CoSe_(2)@NC exhibits a high capacity of 745.9mah·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1),while maintaining excellent rate capability and an impressive ***,the assembled lithium-ion capacitor(LiC)based on CoSe_(2)@NC demonstrates an energy density of 130Wh·kg^(-1),a power density of 24.6 kW·kg^(-1),and remarkable capacity retention of 90.8%after 8000 *** results highlight the great potential of CoSe_(2)@NC for practical applications.
