Global climate changes can lead to the destruction of the permafrost zone and contribute to the active transfer of pollutants to natural *** can be especially pronounced in the areas of oil and gas production in the *** study aimed to define the landscape components(i.e.,groundwater,soil water,soil,and indicator plant species)of chemical pollution with metals,oil hydrocarbons,and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons,from the discharge of drill *** at two sites in the forest-tundra zone of Western Siberia(Russia)were carried out within two years of *** migration was found in peaty-gley heavy loamy soils and iron-illuvial clayey podburs,but lateral migration of different pollutants did not exceed 200 ***,radial migration was practically absent owing to the high buffering capacity of the soil organic horizon and the upward flow of matter in the seasonal melt *** main indicators of drilling waste pollution were high concentrations of Sr,Ba,petroleum hydrocarbons,and Cl^(-)*** the waste disposal sites,the concentration of Ba and Sr in the soil water were 1150 and 1410μg L^(-1),respectively;in groundwater,they reached 721 and 2360μg L^(-1),*** the soil,Ba and Sr accumulated in the peaty horizon(798 and 706 mg kg^(-1),respectively).The concentration of Cl^(-)ions in the soil water at the site of waste discharge was 1912 mg L^(-1),and at a distance of 200 m,it decreased to 77.4 mg L^(-1).The Cl^(-)concentration in the groundwater was lower,and at a distance of 200 m,it was 38.9 mg L^(-1).The highest concentration of petroleum hydrocarbons in the surface layer was found in the peaty-gley soils(up to 2400 mg kg^(-1)).In glandular-illuvial podburs,it was 420 mg kg^(-1).In horizons BH and BC,it was close to the background values(27 and 33 mg kg^(-1),respectively).Alkalinization of soils and water under the influence of drill cuttings led to the death of oligotrophic and acidophilic vegetation at a distanc

In this paper we study how organizational learning impacts organizational behavior, and how vendor support quality enhances product adoption and usage behavior. These constructs were verified using Application Software Packages (ASP) - a prewritten, precoded, commercially available set of programs that eliminates the need for individuals or organizations to write their own software programs for certain functions. The relationship between ASP usage, usage outcomes and use processes were also investigated. Two hundred and ninety-five Chinese, Indian, and Malay entrepreneurships were studied. It was found that usage outcome strongly determines usage, while use process has only an indirect relationship (via outcome) on usage. The impact of organizational learning and vendor service quality on usage, usage outcome, and use process were robust. Theoretical and practical implications of the research are discussed.

匈牙利刺槐((RobiniapseudoacaciaL.)是在17世纪初从北美引入到欧洲的第一个森林树种。在匈牙利,刺槐是非常重要的速生树种,为经济和生态目的,可以成功营造刺槐人工林。结合该树种的生长特点选择营林措施,可以最大限度的提高刺槐人工林的成活率和生产力。本文根据林分结构和森林产量长期实验林的研究成果,提出了刺槐林的抚育作业次序。制定好的营林计划和模式将会培育出效益刺槐林,并能使土地经营者更好地接受该树种。同时,刺槐也是一个非常有用的能源生产树种,本文展示了对这方面的研究成果。图2表1参8。

Allelopathic Potential of Three Oil Enriched Plants against Seedling Growth of Common Field Crops

Current study aims to investigate the allelopathic potential of the differentparts (leaf, bark, stem, twig and root) of three oil-enrich plant species ofBangladesh viz., Jatropha curcus, Ricinus communis and Aphanamixispolystachya. The aqueous extract of those plant parts were diluted intofour different concentrations viz., 1:5, 1:10, 1:15, 1:20 (w/v) and testedagainst the seedling growth of jute, rice, wheat, radish, tomato, mungbeanand mustard under control laboratory condition. A control (distilled waterwithout extract) was also maintained in every cases and the bioassayexperiment was replicated thrice. The results of this research showed thatthe shoot and root growth inhibition of rice, wheat, jute, tomato, radish,mungbean and mustard by leaf, bark, stem, twig and root extracts of ***, R. communis and A. polystachya varied significantly. Compareto the shoot growth, the root growth of the test species inhibited moreexcept J. curcus. The leaf and root have higher allelopathic potential thanany other parts of the studied plants. Finally, it can be concluded here thatJ. curcus plant extracts has higher allelopathic potential than other twoplants R. communis and A. polystachya. Therefore, J. curcus can be usedas a candidate plant for isolation and identification of allelopathic substancesfor the development of new natural herbicides.

The study assessed the effect of different processing methods on the phyto-chemical and nutrient properties of Africa oil-bean seeds Pentaclethra macrophylla,commonly known as *** is a traditional food,consumed by over 20 million people in *** is a rich and available source of protein for people,whose staple foods are deficient in *** ugba seeds were subjected to different processing methods,which included:boiling,soaking,drying,and fermentation at different degrees,of 24 h,48 h and 72 *** samples were dried and examined on their nutrient,anti-nutrient and phyto-chemical *** sensory properties of the samples were *** result showed significant difference(polysis of proteins and amino *** samples that were boiled,had the highest(32.09%)fat content while the 24 h fermented samples had the least value(30.09%).The crude fiber and carbohydrate values of the raw ugba samples was highest(4.11%and 22.21%respectively).The ugba sample fermented for 72 h,recorded highest for calcium(34.13 mg/100 g),potassium(258.04 mg/100 g)and phosphorous(231.91 mg/100 g)in relation to other *** result supports the claim by Ref.[2]that fermentation is associated with microbial activities which stimulate better nutrient availability(particularly protein)and *** anti-nutrient composition of the samples *** 72 h fermented ugba had the least values for tannin(0.01 mg/100 g),phytate(0.01 mg/100 g)and oxalate(0.02 mg/100 g).Furthermore,the low level of phytate observed in this study is desirable because increased phytate level in the body,affects the availability of minerals,solubility fu

The study assessed the anthropometric indices and health status of adult women,aged 30-60 years in relation to their food consumption *** blood sugar level,blood pressure and body mass index of the respondents were determined.A cross sectional survey was used for this study,a clustered and simple random sampling selection technique was used in selecting the *** indices of weight and height were used to assess the body mass index(BMI),while waist hip ratio(WHR)was used to check for abdominal *** were considered overweight using world health organization standard(BMI at or above 25),or WHR above *** status was assessed by checking blood pressure and blood sugar *** pressure was taken twice using Omron sphygmomanometer with appropriate cuff off size and women were classified hypertensive if having a mean blood pressure above 120/80 *** glucometer was used to check for random blood sugar(RBS)levels,respondents were considered diabetics if they have a random sugar above 140 mg/*** frequency table was used to assess food consumption *** were said to have low consumption if consumed the food 1-3 times per week or if rarely or never *** is moderate if consumed 4-6 times per week and high,if consumed 7 times per week,or *** covered relevant data such as personal data,demographic *** showed that the women mean standard deviations for body mass index(BMI),waist hip ratio(WHR),random blood sugar(RBS),systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)were 26.29±4.1,0.86±0.34,112.51±23.0,115.4±23.0 and 88.45±4.3 *** mean value for BMI was on the overweight *** correlation analysis showed that SBP,DBP,RBS and WHR had positive correlation with BMI with confidence level set at 0.05%(0.206,p=0.005;0.16,p=0.031;0.081,p=0.0021 and 0.148,p=0.000 respectively).WHR also had stronger correlation with RBS(0.90,p=0.278),systolic(0.272,p=0.002)

The study assessed the nutrients,anti-nutrients and phytochemical properties of noni concentrate,pulp,and *** plant is a small evergreen tree,used for both medicinal purposes and for *** kilograms(6 kg)of matured,ripe noni fruit(Morinda citrifolia),was harvested by hand picking,from Green Health Farm,Imo State,*** was divided into three equal parts,for the purposes of sample preparation and *** pulp:One portion of the noni fruit sample was cleaned,washed and drained to remove debris and thereafter,was spread on a clean tray and allowed to air dry,at room *** practice encouraged further ripening and softening of the *** seeds were then removed and the fruit crushed,to extract the *** pulp was packaged in an air tight container and kept in the fridge for further *** concentrate:The second portion of the noni fruit samples was cleaned,washed and allowed to air dry on a raised table,under room *** the aid of a juice collection box,the juice was extracted and stored in a clean dry container for further *** seed:The third portion of the noni fruit samples was cleaned,washed,to remove debris and thereafter,was crushed by hand to select the *** seeds were separated from the pulp by a strong spray of water,and then washed to further remove pulp on the *** seeds were dried for 2 days in open air and further oven dried and then grounded to a fine powder and packaged for *** results of the proximate composition of noni seed,pulp and concentrate showed significant difference(p<0.05)in the protein content of the seed,pulp and *** crude protein increased from 0.02%to 4.53%.The seed had the highest protein content(4.53%).There was significant difference(p<0.05)in the moisture content of the seed,pulp and *** moisture content of the seed(8.27%)was lower than that of pulp(92.55%)and concentrate(88.38%).The crude fiber contents of the seed,pulp and concentrat
