Multi-Step Clustering of Smart Meters Time Series:Application to Demand Flexibility Characterization of SME Customers

Customer segmentation according to load-shape profiles using smart meter data is an increasingly important application to vital the planning and operation of energy systems and to enable citizens’participation in the energy *** study proposes an innovative multi-step clustering procedure to segment customers based on load-shape patterns at the daily and intra-daily time *** meter data is split between daily and hourly normalized time series to assess monthly,weekly,daily,and hourly seasonality patterns *** dimensionality reduction implicit in the splitting allows a direct approach to clustering raw daily energy time series *** intraday clustering procedure sequentially identifies representative hourly day-unit profiles for each customer and the entire *** the first time,a step function approach is applied to reduce time series *** attributes embedded in surveys are employed to build external clustering validation metrics using Cramer’s V correlation factors and to identify statistically significant determinants of load-shape in energy *** addition,a time series features engineering approach is used to extract 16 relevant demand flexibility indicators that characterize customers and corresponding clusters along four different axes:available Energy(E),Temporal patterns(T),Consistency(C),and Variability(V).The methodology is implemented on a real-world electricity consumption dataset of 325 Small and Medium-sized Enterprise(SME)customers,identifying 4 daily and 6 hourly easy-to-interpret,well-defined *** application of the methodology includes selecting key parameters via grid search and a thorough comparison of clustering distances and methods to ensure the robustness of the *** research can test the scalability of the methodology to larger datasets from various customer segments(households and large commercial)and locations with different weather and socioeconomic conditio

Intelligent interaction system based on multimodal conformal triboelectric nanogenerator patch for disabled sports and life

Intelligent interaction technology based on advanced sensing units has become a research hotspot. In this paper, an intelligent interaction system (IIS) based on a multimodal conformal triboelectric nanogenerator patch (MCTP) is reported for sports monitoring and life promotion of the disabled. This IIS consists of a cloud-based smart sports recognition program and a smart life application. The porous micro-reinforced structure of polyurethane (PU) Sponge&Ecoflex, and the surface modification of PTFE by coating it with MXene endows the MCTP with excellent electrical properties. It shows good angle and force sensitivities of 1.1 V/°and 1.61 V/N, respectively, and has an ultra-fast response time of 15 ms, meeting the needs of human motion monitoring. The MCTP can also capture the mechanical energy, producing a maximum output power of 139μ*** with the commercial inertial measuring unit (IMU), the MCTP shows better consistency in human joint angle sensing. A precise analysis of wheelchair curling sports monitoring points is achieved by combining the MCTP and the human anatomy model. The cloud-based smart sports recognition program utilizes machine learning to achieve visual feedback on the three throwing technologies of draw, takeout and clearing. In addition, the developed smart life application uses a highsensitivity MCTP-sensor array design to achieve a variety of smart home interactions through simple finger touches. Overall,the IIS integrates the three major functions of smart sports sensing, energy capture, and smart home control, providing important application prospects in the fields of smart sports and human-computer interaction for the disabled.

Federated Learning’s Role in Next-Gen TV Ad Optimization

In the rapidly evolving landscape of television advertising,optimizing ad schedules to maximize viewer engagement and revenue has become *** methods often operate in silos,limiting the potential insights gained from broader data analysis due to concerns over privacy and data *** article introduces a novel approach that leverages Federated Learning(FL)to enhance TV ad schedule optimization,combining the strengths of local optimization techniques with the power of global Machine Learning(ML)models to uncover actionable insights without compromising data *** combines linear programming for initial ads scheduling optimization with ML—specifically,a K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)model—for predicting ad spot *** into account the diversity and the difficulty of the ad-scheduling problem,we propose a prescriptivepredictive approach in which first the position of the ads is optimized(using Google’s OR-Tools CP-SAT)and then the scheduled position of all ads will be the result of the optimization ***,this output becomes the target of a predictive task that predicts the position of new entries based on their characteristics ensuring the implementation of the scheduling at large scale(using KNN,Light Gradient Boosting Machine and random Forest).Furthermore,we explore the integration of FL to enhance predictive accuracy and strategic insight across different broadcasting networks while preserving data *** FL approach resulted in 8750 ads being precisely matched to their optimal category placements,showcasing an alignment with the intended diversity ***,there was a minimal deviation observed,with 1133 ads positioned within a one-category variance from their ideal placement in the original dataset.

background:Gastrointestinal parasites infections are widespread in Africa and their prevalence infections vary from country to *** study aimed at assessing the prevalence of opportunistic intestinal parasites infection and other gastrointestinal parasites infection among patients attending the laboratory of Parasitology and Mycology of the University Hospital Souro Sanou of ***:A hospital cross-sectional based study was conducted from April to August,*** were persons whom parasitological examination of stools has been prescribed by a *** stools examination methods included direct wet saline examination,lugol’s iodine staining technique,formol-ether concentration and modified Ziehl-Neelsen *** recorded age and sex information for each ***:The overall prevalence of intestinal parasite infections was 65.3%(190/291).Majority of the parasitic infections was waterborne(64.3%)consisting of high prevalence of Cryptosporidium sp.(26.5%)and Entamoeba histolytica/dispar(23.4%).The prevalence of opportunistic parasites was 28.9%and Cryptosporidium *** the most prevalent species followed by Blastocystis sp.(1.0%),Cyclospora sp.(0.7%)and Isospora belli(0.7%).The prevalence of intestinal helminthes was 1.7%.Conclusions:The prevalence of intestinal parasitism in general remains high in Bobo-Dioulasso requiring the establishment of adequate diagnostic techniques,treatment and prevention.

baCKGROUND The classification of uterine sarcomas is based on distinctive morphological and immunophenotypic characteristics,increasingly supported by molecular genetic *** on neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase(NTRK)gene fusionpositive uterine sarcoma,potentially aggressive and morphologically similar to fibrosarcoma,are limited due to its recent ***-TRK immunohistochemistry(IHC)analysis serves as an effective screening tool with high sensitivity and specificity for NTRK-fusion *** SUMMARY We report a case of a malignant mesenchymal tumor originating from the uterine cervix,which was pan-TRK IHC-positive but lacked NTRK gene fusions,accompanied by a brief literature review.A 55-year-old woman presented to the emergency department with abdominal pain and distension,exhibiting significant ascites and multiple solid pelvic *** examination revealed a tumor encompassing the uterine cervix,extending to the vagina and uterine corpus.A punch biopsy of the cervix indicated NTRK sarcoma with positive immunochemical pan-TRK ***,subsequent next generation sequencing revealed no NTRK gene fusion,leading to a diagnosis of poorly differentiated,advanced-stage *** The clinical significance of NTRK gene fusion lies in potential treatment with TRK inhibitors for positive *** such rare tumors is crucial due to the potential applicability of tropomyosin receptor kinase inhibitor treatment.

Fabrication of adsorbents with enhanced CuⅠ stability: Creating a superhydrophobic microenvironment through grafting octadecylamine

In atmospheric conditions, CuⅠis easily oxidized to CuⅡdue to the coexistence of moisture and *** poor oxidation inhibition of CuⅠrestricts the practical application of CuⅠ-containing *** we introduce an approach to construct a superhydrophobic microenvironment in CuⅠfunctionalized metal–organic frameworks by coordinatedly grafting organic amine compounds onto open metal sites(OMSs), which can hinder the accessibility of moisture to pores thereby enhancing the stability of CuⅠ. As a proof of concept, MIL-101(Cr) with abundant OMSs and octadecylamine(OA)with long hydrophobic alkyl groups are used as carrier and surface coating. As superhydrophobic porous materials, the resultant CuⅠM-OA exhibits improved CuⅠstability in addition to retaining high crystallinity and intact porosity while almost all CuⅠis oxidized in hydrophilic CuⅠM upon exposure in a humid atmosphere for 30 h. CuⅠM-OA owns excellent adsorption desulfurization performance(ADS) with regard to thiophene, benzothiophene, and 4,6-dimethyl dibenzothiophene. Even from hydrated fuel, the adsorption performance of CuⅠM-OA maintains well while the adsorption capacity of CuⅠM decreases to 7% after4 cycles. The remarkable moisture resistance, CuⅠstability, and high porosity make the current adsorbent CuⅠM-OA highly promising for the practical ADS process.

Novel stacking models based on SMOTE for the prediction of rockburst grades at four deep gold mines

Rockburst is a frequently encountered hazard during the production of deep gold *** prediction of rockburst is an important measure to prevent rockburst in gold *** study considers seven indicators to evaluate rockburst at four deep gold *** research and rock tests were performed at two gold mines in China to collect these seven indicators and rockburst *** collected database was oversampled by the synthetic minority oversampling technique(SMOTE)to balance the categories of rockburst *** models combining tree-based models and logistic regression(LR)were established by the balanced *** datasets from another two deep gold mines were implemented to verify the applicability of the predictive *** stacking model combining extremely randomized trees and LR based on SMOTE(SMOTE-ERT-LR)was the best model,and it obtained a training accuracy of 100%and an evaluation accuracy of 100%.Moreover,model evaluation suggested that SMOTE can enhance the prediction performance for weak rockburst,thereby improving the overall ***,sensitivity analysis was performed for *** results indicated that the SMOTE-ERT-LR model can achieve satisfactory performance when only depth,maximum tangential stress index,and linear elastic energy index were available.

Intelligent method to experimentally identify the fracture mechanism of red sandstone

Tensile and shear fractures are significant mechanisms for rock *** the fractures that occur in rock can reveal rock failure *** electron microscopy(SEM)has been widely used to analyze tensile and shear fractures of rock on a mesoscopic *** quantify tensile and shear fractures,this study proposed an innovative method composed of SEM images and deep learning techniques to identify tensile and shear fractures in red ***,direct tensile and preset angle shear tests were performed for red sandstone to produce representative tensile and shear fracture surfaces,which were then observed by ***,these obtained SEM images were applied to develop deep learning models(AlexNet,VGG13,and SqueezeNet).Model evaluation showed that VGG13 was the best model,with a testing accuracy of ***,the features of tensile and shear fractures of red sandstone learned by VGG13 were analyzed by the integrated gradient ***13 was then implemented to identify the distribution and proportion of tensile and shear fractures on the failure surfaces of rock fragments caused by uniaxial compression and Brazilian splitting *** demonstrated the model feasibility and suggested that the proposed method can reveal rock failure mechanisms.
