The Human Development index (HDi) was created by the United Nations (UN) and is the basis for many other indicators, as well as being the origin of many public policies worldwide. it is a summary measure of life expectancy, education, and per capita income. These components, in addition to being global measures, show difficulty in being impacted and, with this, advancing in the level of human development. This work shows a model that relates variables of social distribution and access to infrastructure in Mexico, with the HDi. These variables were chosen through a statistical analysis based on a set of indicators measured by the National institute of Statistics and Geography (iNEGi) periodically at the municipal level. The statistical analysis shows that there is no simple correlation between these variables and the HDi, so that a supervised learning model based on a neural network was used, therefore proposing a classification technique based on the distribution of data in the underlying metric space. in addition, an attempt was made to find the simplest possible model to reduce the computational cost and in turn obtain information on the variables with the greatest impact on the HDi, with the aim of facilitating the creation of public policies that impact it.

The manuscript "Eurytrematosis: An emerging and neglected disease in South Brazil" discusses some aspects of Eurytrema sp. fluke as an animal pathogen and based in some aspects of the parasitism in cattle and the life cycle of Eurytrema sp. Authors suggest the possibility of human infection, once there is no research on this subject in Brazil. in human cases reported, the mechanism of infection was not disclosed, so it keeps the discussion opened. Although we focused on animal eurytrematosis, we speculated the possibility of human infection by Eurytrema sp. in Brazil, but after all, the only way to determine it, would be a study searching for people infected through coprological or serological tests.

Proton-pump inhibitors （PPis） are among the most widely used drugs worldwide. PPi use has recently been linked to adverse changes in semen quality in healthy men; however, the effects of PPi use on semen parameters remain largely unknown specifically in cases with male factor infertility. We examined whether PPi use was associated with detrimental effects on semen parameters in a large population of subfertile men. We retrospectively reviewed data from 12 257 subfertile men who had visited our fertility clinic from 2003 to 2013. Patients who reported using any PPis for 〉3 months before semen sample collection were included; 7698 subfertile men taking no medication served as controls. Data were gathered on patient age, medication use, and conventional semen parameters; patients taking any known spermatotoxic medication were excluded. Linear mixed-effect regression models were used to test the effect of PPi use on semen parameters adjusting for age. A total of 248 patients （258 samples） used PPis for at least 3 months before semen collection. in regression models, PPi use （either as the only medication or when used in combination with other nonspermatotoxic medications） was not associated with statistically significant changes in semen parameters. To our knowledge, this is the largest study to compare PPi use with semen parameters in subfertile men. Using PPis was not associated with detrimental effects on semen quality in this retrospective study.

The investigation of the structure and thermoelectric properties of nanostructured solid solutions (Bi, Sb)2Te3 p-type has been carried out. The samples were obtained by grinding of original compositions in a planetary ball mill and by spark plasma sintering (SPS). initial powder has an average particle size of 10 - 12 nm according to transmission electron microscopy, and the size of the coherent scattering region (CSR) obtained by X-ray line broadening. During sintering at Ts = 250°C - 400°C, the grain size and CSR increased, which was associated with the processes of recrystallization. The maximum of size distribution of CSR shifts to larger sizes when Ts increases so that no broadening of X-ray lines at Ts = 400°C can take place. At higher Ts, the emergence of new nanograins is observed. The formation of nanograins is conditioned by reducing of quantity of the intrinsic point defects produced in the grinding of the source materials. The study of the electrical conductivity and the Hall effect in a single crystal allows to estimate the mean free path of the holes-L in the single crystal Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3 which at room temperature is 2 - 5 nm (it is much smaller than the dimensions of CSR in the samples). The method for evaluation of L in polycrystalline samples is proposed. At room temperature, L is close to the mean free path in single crystals. Scattering parameter holes in SPS samples obtained from the temperature dependence of the Seebeck coefficient are within the measurement error equal to the parameter of the scattering of holes in a single crystal. The figure of merit ZT of SPS samples as a function of composition and sintering temperature has been investigated. Maximum ZT, equal to 1.05 at room temperature, is obtained for the composition Bi0.4Sb1.6Te3 at Ts = 500°C and a pressure of 50 MPa. The causes of an apparent increase in thermoelectric efficiency are discussed.

The athletic component in football is nowadays one of the most important factor to determinate the performance. This consideration is part of our study, which aims to evaluate and quantify the difference between the workload of an amateur footballer and an elite one. All this is allowed by match analysis made by GPS evaluation method for amateur and video tracking for elite. The examined teams were playing in 7th italian league, and we used 10 GPS to track 6 games, 5 for each team. For every team and every game were analysed a forward, a central midfielder, a wide midfielder, a central defender and a full back （Age 25.3 ＋ 4.2, Weight 74.5 Kg a： 5.3, Height 1.76 cm ＋ 5.2）. in our study, we used a 20 Hz GPS （thanks to Advanced Research Group in Sport, School of Health and Sport Science with K-Sport Universal, italy） to detect performance data, and then we compared the outcome with matches performance data from elite players gather from scientific literature. Data analysis shows that elite players reach higher values in almost all parameters taken into account. in particular, they obtained higher value in meters per minutes, High Speed Distance （〉 16 Km/h）, High Metabolic Power Distance （〉 20 W/Kg） and in high and very high and acceleration （2 m/s, 3 m/s, 〉 3 m/s） and deceleration （-2 m/s, -3 m/s, 〉 -3 m/s）. This study can be useful to select and catalogue player performance model, in order to better understand the real value of a player, and to help coaches and teams to identify talent, at least in physical values.

A 69-year-old woman had experienced resistant edema of lower extremities and progressive dyspnea on exertion for two months. The pa-tient visited our emergency room owing to ex-acerbation of her dyspnea symptom. Echocar-diography demonstrated a mobile mass in the right atrium. Transesophageal echocardiogra-phy revealed a right atrial mass arising from the inferior vena cava which was partially mobile. The patient underwent urgent open heart sur-gery with resection of the right atrial mass and curettage of the tumor thrombus in the inferior vena cava. Histologic examination of the re-sected right atrial mass revealed the features of metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma. Subse-quent work-up revealed that alpha-fetoprotein level was 3780 ng/ml. Abdominal echocardi-ography showed a tumor mass in the right lobe of the liver. The post-operative course was complicated by pneumonia, sepsis, and multi- organ failure. The patient died 48 days after surgery.
