Development, Translation and Validation of the Circle of Life (CoL) Satisfaction Scale Assessment Tool: An integrative Nutrition Approach

Objectives: This study was designed to validate, test and translate a newly developed assessment tool for health coaches to assess client’s satisfaction rates of the Circle of Life (CoL), as a guide for weight ma.a.ement and also to monitor clients’ health and wellbeing improvements. This includes development of the assessment content, content validity, translating and pretesting the tool among potential clients. Method: 18 participants enrolled in a telenutrition weight loss program was and received a hypocaloric diet that was supported with monthly telemonitoring and health coaching sessions remotely for 6 months. Thus, we developed content of the assessment tool and created a rating scale of three levels of satisfaction (completely satisfied, slightly satisfied and not satisfied). The process of validation included content and language validity by experts in the field and language. Results: High scores according to the content validity rating were seen on both English and language versions of the CoL assessment tool by experts. Followed by a pre-testing process by participants, which showed reliability and consistency of the (CoL) variables using a multilevel a.a.ysis seeks across all individuals and all individuals had similar correlational pattern. Conclusions: The new (CoL) satisfaction scale have demonstrated a good ca.a.ity for identifying lifestyle factors associated with participants weight, which is a useful tool for integrative nutrition practice in weight ma.a.ement interventions. Future studies must be directed towards using the tool in assessing different populations and cultures to understand the main root of obesity in relation to behavior and day to day life factors.

Measuring capillary oxygenation and the surrounding ultrastructure can allow one to monitor a microvascular niche and better understand crucial biological ***,capillary oximetry and pericapillary ultrastructure are challenging to measure in *** we demonstrate a novel optical imaging system,dual-band dual-scan inverse spectroscopic optical coherence tomography(D2-iSOCT),that,for the first time,can simultaneously obtain the following metrics in vivo using endogenous contrast:(1)capillary-level oxygen saturation and arteriolar-level blood flow rates,oxygen delivery rates,and oxygen metabolic rates;(2)spatial cha.a.teristics of tissue structures at length scales down to 30 nm;and(3)morphological images up to 2mm in *** illustrate the ca.a.ilities of D2-iSOCT,we monitored alterations to capillaries and the surrounding pericapillary tissue(tissue between the capillaries)in the healing response of a mouse ear wound *** obtained microvascular and ultrastructural metrics corroborated well with each other,showing the promise of D2-iSOCT for becoming a powerful new non-invasive imaging tool.

impact of integrative Nutrition Health Coaching in Weight Ma.a.ement Programs: A Case Report

Background: integrative nutrition has been defined as providing a combination of medical nutrition therapy including a personalized investigation on the root cause of chronic diseases due to poor lifestyle. it has been evident that integrative nutrition has a strong impact in weight ma.a.ement. Case Report: 5 case reports were investigated in the current study where we reported 5 cases of participants that have completed a 6-month duration of a telenutrition weight loss program, supported with weekly telemonitoring and monthly telehealth coaching following an integrative nutrition approach. All participants have significantly lost weight through a 6-month period. Additionally, each participant has worked on specific aspect in their lifestyle following the circle of life components to overcome struggles in following their diets and support weight ma.a.ement. All 5 participants had a significant negative correlation between weight and having fun, home cooking, spirituality, sports, and their jobs, which means that being satisfied with the mentioned (CoL) measures, lower values of the weight and increase steps. Thus, future research must carry similar interventions with long term durations and evaluate the most common aspect of life associated with obesity.

Optimization of moderator assembly for neutron flux measurement:experimental and theoretical approaches

A moderator of pa.a.fin wax assembly has been demonstrated where its thickness can be optimized to thermalize fast neutrons. The assembly is used for measuring fast neutron flux of a neutron probe at different neutron energies, using BF03(U10and 200) and3He(U0.500)neutron detectors. The pa.a.fin wax thickness was optimized at 6 cm for the neutron probe which contains an Am–Be neutron source. The experimental da.a.are compared with Monte Carlo simulation results using MCNP5 version 1.4. Neutron flux comparison and neutron activation techniques are used for measuring neutron flux of the neutron probe to validate the optimum pa.a.fin moderator thickness in the assembly. The neutron fluxes are measured at(1.17 ± 0.09) 9 105 and(1.19 ± 0.1) 9 105n/s, being in agreement with the simulated values. The moderator assembly can easily be utilized for essential requirements of neutron flux measurements.

Cha.a.terization of protein-protein interactions between rice viruses and vector insects

Planthoppers are the most notorious rice pests,because they transmit various rice viruses in a persistent-propa.a.ive ***–protein interactions(PPis)between virus and vector are crucial for virus transmission by vector ***,the number of known PPis for pairs of rice viruses and planthoppers is restricted by low throughput research *** this study,we applied DeNovo,a virus-host sequence-based PPi predictor,to predict potential PPis at a genome-wide scale between three planthoppers and five rice *** were identified at two different confidence thresholds,referred to as low and high *** number of PPis for the five planthopper-virus pairs ranged from 506 to 1985 in the low mode and from 1254 to 4286 in the high *** eliminating the“one-too-many”redundant interacting information,the PPis with unique planthopper proteins were reduced to 343–724 in the low mode and 758–1671 in the high *** a.a.ysis showed that 11 sets and 31 sets of homologous planthopper proteins were shared by all planthopper-virus interactions in the two modes,indicating that they are potential conserved vector factors essential for transmission of rice *** PPis between small brown planthopper and rice stripe virus(RSV)were verified using glutathione-S-transferase(GST)/His-pull down or co-immunoprecipitation *** of the ten PPis were proven positive,and three of the five SBPH proteins were confirmed to interact with *** predicted PPis provide new clues for further studies of the complicated relationship between rice viruses and their vector insects.

Two simple and sensitive spectrofluorimetric (method Ι) and spectrophotometric (method ΙΙ) methods have been developed for the determination of some chloride containing toothpastes and panthenol-containing cosmetic prepa.a.ions respectively. Method Ι is based on quantitative fluorescence quenching of (terbium-salicylate-hexamine ternary complex) by fluoride which could be measured at λem/λex of 547 nm/322 nm. The ΔF-concentration plot was rectilinear over the concentration range of 0.5 - 20 μg/ml. Method ΙΙ depends reaction of panthenol with nitrobenzoxadiazole chloride (NBD-Cl) and measuring the absorbance of the resultant product at 480 nm. The absorbance-concentration plot was rectilinear over the concentration range of 2 - 20 μg/ml.

in this letter,we comment on a recent publication by Mei et al,in the World Journal of Hepatology,investigating the hepatoprotective effects of the modified Xiaoyao San(MXS)formula in a male rat model of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH).The authors found that MXS treatment mitigated hepatic steatosis and inflam-mation in the NASH model,as evidenced by the reduction in lipid droplets(LDs),fibrosis markers and lipogenic ***,these hepatoprotective effects were associated with androgen upregulation(based on metabolomics a.a.ysis of male steroid hormone metabolites),adenosine 5’-monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK)activation,and restoration of phospha.a.e and tensin homolog(PTEN)***,the authors did not clearly discuss the relationships between MXS-induced hepatic steatosis reduction in the NASH model,and androgen upregulation,AMPK activation,and restoration of PTEN *** editorial emphasizes the reported mechanisms and explains how they act or interact with each other to reduce hepatic steatosis and inflammation in the NASH *** a perspective,we propose additional mechanisms(such as autophagy/lipophagy activation in hepatocytes)for the clea.a.ce of LDs and suppression of hepatic steatosis by MXS in the NASH model.A proper understanding of the mechanisms of MXS-induced reduction of hepatic steatosis might help in the treatment of NASH and related diseases.

Forecasting Energy Consumption Using a Novel Hybrid Dipper Throated Optimization and Stochastic Fractal Search Algorithm

The accurate prediction of energy consumption has effective role in decision making and risk ma.a.ement for individuals and ***,the accurate prediction can be realized using the recent advances in machine learning and predictive *** research proposes a novel approach for energy consumption forecasting based on a new optimization algorithm and a new forecasting model consisting of a set of long short-term memory(LSTM)*** proposed optimization algorithm is used to optimize the pa.a.eters of the LSTM-based model to boost its forecasting *** optimization algorithm is based on the recently emerged dipper-throated optimization(DTO)and stochastic fractal search(SFS)algo-rithm and is referred to as dynamic *** prove the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach,five standard benchmark algorithms,namely,stochastic fractal search(SFS),dipper throated optimization(DTO),whale optimization algorithm(WOA),particle swarm optimization(PSO),and grey wolf optimization(GWO),are used to optimize the pa.a.eters of the LSTM-based model,and the results are compared with that of the proposed *** results show that the proposed DDTOSFS+LSTM can accurately forecast the energy consumption with root mean square error RMSE of 0.00013,which is the best among the recorded results of the other *** addition,statistical experiments are conducted to prove the statistical difference of the proposed *** results of these tests confirmed the expected outcomes.
