Oligodendroglial heterogeneity in health,disease,and recovery:deeper insights into myelin dynamics

decades of research asserted that the oligodendroglial lineage comprises two cell types:oligodendrocyte precursor cells and ***,recent studies employing single-cell RNA sequencing techniques have uncovered novel cell states,prompting a revision of the existing *** forward,the oligodendroglial lineage should be delineated into five distinct cell states:oligodendrocyte precursor cells,committed oligodendrocyte precursor cells,newly formed oligodendrocytes,myelin-forming oligodendrocytes,and mature *** new classification system enables a deeper understanding of the oligodendroglia in both physiological and pathological *** this uniform terminology will facilitate comparison and integration of data across ***,including the consolidation of findings from various demyelinating models,is essential to better understand the pathogenesis of demyelinating ***,comparing injury models across species with varying regenerative capacities can provide insights that may lead to new therapeutic strategies to overcome remyelination ***,by standardizing terminology and synthesizing data from diverse studies across different animal models,we can enhance our understanding of myelin pathology in central nervous system disorders such as multiple sclerosis,Alzheimer's disease,and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,all of which involve oligodendroglial and myelin dysfunction.

Indium antimonide based HEMt for RF applications

We report on an indium antimonide high electron mobility transistor with record cut-off frequency characteristics. For high frequency response it is important to minimize parasitic resistance and capacitance to improve short-channel effects. For analog applications adequate pinch-off behavior is demonstrated. For proper device scaling we need high electron mobility and high electron density. toward this end, the device design features and simulation are carried out by the Synopsys tCAd tool. A 30 nm InSb HEMt exhibits an excellent cut-off frequency of 586 GHz. to the knowledge of the authors, the obtained cut-off frequency is the highest ever reported in any FEt on any material system.

Biodegradation of mixture of VOC's in a biofilter

Volatile organic compounds(VOC's) in air have become major concern in recent years. Biodegradation of a mixture of ethanol and methanol vapor was evaluated in a laboratory biofilter with a bed of compost and polystyrene particles using an acclimated mixed culture. the continuous performance of the biofilter was studied with different proportion of ethanol and methanol at different initial concentration and flow rates. the result showed significant removal for both ethanol and methanol, which were composition dependent. the presence of either compound in the mixture inhibited the biodegradation of the other.

this study demonstrates the influence of the Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio in precursor solution on the crystal structural formation,morphology,physical properties,and photocatalytic performance of a Ag_(3)PO_(4)photocatalyst that is fabricated,using a facile precipitation method,from AgNO_(3)and Na2HPO_(4)·12H_(2)*** material characterizations were carried out using x-ray diffraction(XRd),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy(EdX),Brunauer–Emmett–teller(BEt)surface area,Fourier transform infrared(FtIR)absorption,Raman scattering,x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),UV-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(PL).the results show that Ag_(3)PO_(4)crystallizes better when the excess PO_(4)^(3-)content increases,and the lattice parameters decrease slightly,while the crystal diameter and the particle size *** change is also observed in the Raman scattering and FtIR spectra with the increase in the vibration frequency of the[PO_(4)]*** compression of the[PO_(4)]unit was also confirmed in the XPS spectra with the shift of P 2p peaks toward higher binding *** photocatalytic results showed that the samples synthesized from excess PO_(4)^(3-)solution exhibited higher photocatalytic performance compared to the sample with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.A sample prepared from the precursor solution with a Ag^(+)/PO_(4)^(3-)ratio of 3:1.5 was optimal for RhB decomposition under both visible light and natural sunlight,completely decomposing 10 ppm RhB after 15 minutes of xenon lamp irradiation and after 60 minutes under solar light *** is attributed to the high crystallinity,small particle size and low electron–hole recombination rate of the sample.

Viscoelastic modeling of the diffusion of polymeric pollutants injected into a pipe flow

this study focuses on the transient analysis of nonlinear dispersion of a polymeric pollutant ejected by an external source into a laminar pipe flow of a Newtonian liquid under axi-symmetric *** influence of density variation with pollutant concentration is approximated according to the Boussinesq approximation and the nonlinear governing equations of momentum,pollutant concentration are obtained together with and Oldroyd-B constitutive model for the polymer *** problem is solved numerically using a semi-implicit finite difference *** are presented in graphical form for various parameter values and given in terms of fluid velocity,pollutant concentration,polymer stress components,skin friction and wall mass transfer *** model can be a useful tool in understanding the dynamics of industrial pollution situations arising from improper discharge of hydrocarbon pollutants into,say,water *** model can also be quite useful for available necessary early warning methods for detecting or predicting the scale of pollution and hence help mitigate related damage downstream by earlier instituting relevant decontamination measures.

this study presents the Chebyshev polynomials-based Ritz method to examine the thermal buckling and free vibration characteristics of metal foam *** analyses include three models for porosity distribution and two scenarios for thermal *** material properties are assessed under two conditions,i.e.,temperature dependence and temperature *** theoretical framework for the beams is based on the higher-order shear deformation theory,which incorporates shear deformations with higher-order *** governing equations are established from the Lagrange equations,and the beam displacement fields are approximated by the Chebyshev *** simulations are performed to evaluate the effects of thermal load,slenderness,boundary condition(BC),and porosity distribution on the buckling and vibration behaviors of metal foam *** findings highlight the significant influence of temperature-dependent(td)material properties on metal foam beams'buckling and vibration responses.

Cryptographic Lightweight Encryption Algorithm with dimensionality Reduction in Edge Computing

Edge Computing is one of the radically evolving systems through generations as it is able to effectively meet the data saving standards of consumers,providers and the workers. Requisition for Edge Computing based items havebeen increasing tremendously. Apart from the advantages it holds, there remainlots of objections and restrictions, which hinders it from accomplishing the needof consumers all around the world. Some of the limitations are constraints oncomputing and hardware, functions and accessibility, remote administration andconnectivity. there is also a backlog in security due to its inability to create a trustbetween devices involved in encryption and decryption. this is because securityof data greatly depends upon faster encryption and decryption in order to transferit. In addition, its devices are considerably exposed to side channel attacks,including Power Analysis attacks that are capable of overturning the *** space and the ability of it is one of the most challenging tasks. toprevail over from this issue we are proposing a Cryptographic LightweightEncryption Algorithm with dimensionality Reduction in Edge Computing. thet-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding is one of the efficient dimensionality reduction technique that greatly decreases the size of the non-linear data. thethree dimensional image data obtained from the system, which are connected withit, are dimensionally reduced, and then lightweight encryption algorithm isemployed. Hence, the security backlog can be solved effectively using thismethod.

COMPARISON OF FAtIGUE ANd CREEP BEHAVIOR BEtWEEN 2d ANd 3d-C/SiC COMPOSItES

the differences of tension-tension fatigue and tensile creep characters of 2d-C/SiC and 3d-C/SiC composites have been scrutinized to meet the engineering needs. Experiments of tension-tension fatigue and tensile creep are carried out under vacuum high temperature condition. All of the high temperature fatigue curves are flat; the fatigue curves of the 2d-C/SiC are flatter and even parallel to the horizontal axis. While the tension-tension fatigue limit of the 3d-C/SiC is higher than that of the 2d-C/SiC, the fiber pullout length of the fatigue fracture surface of the 3d-C/SiC is longer than that of the 2d-C/SiC, and fracture morphology of the 3d-C/SiC is rougher, and pullout length of the fiber tows is longer. At the same time the 3d-C/SiC has higher tensile creep resistance. the tensile curve and the tensile creep curve of both materials consist of a series of flat step. these phenomena can be explained by the non-continuity of the damage.

A comprehensive investigation on nonlinear vibration and bending characteristics of bio-inspired helicoidal laminated composite structures

Bio-inspired helicoidal composite laminates, inspired by the intricate helical structures found in nature, present a promising frontier for enhancing the mechanical properties of structural designs. Hence, this study provides a comprehensive investigation into the nonlinear free vibration and nonlinear bending behavior of bio-inspired composite plates. the inverse hyperbolic shear deformation theory(IHSdt) of plates is employed to characterize the displacement field, with the incorporation of Green-Lagrange nonlinearity. the problem is modeled using the C0finite element method(FEM), and an in-house code is developed in the MAtLAB environment to solve it numerically. Various helicoidal layup configurations including helicoidal recursive(HR), helicoidal exponential(HE), helicoidal semi-circular(HS), linear helicoidal(LH), and Fibonacci helicoidal(FH)with different layup sequences and quasi-isotropic configurations are studied. the model is validated, and parametric studies are conducted. these studies investigate the effects of layup configurations, side-to-thickness ratio, modulus ratios, boundary conditions, and loading conditions at different load amplitudes on the nonlinear vibration and nonlinear bending behaviors of bio-inspired composite plates. the results show that the laminate sequence exerts a substantial impact on both nonlinear natural frequencies and nonlinear bending behaviors. Moreover, this influence varies across different side-to-thickness ratios and boundary conditions of the bio-inspired composite plate.

Mechanical and thermal postbuckling of FGM thick circular cylindrical shells reinforced by FGM stiffener system using higher-order shear deformation theory

the postbuckling of the eccentrically stiffened circular cylindrical shells made of functionally graded materials （FGMs）, subjected to the axial compressive load and external uniform pressure and filled inside by the elastic foundations in the thermal environments, is investigated with an analytical method. the shells are reinforced by FGM stringers and rings. the thermal elements of the shells and stiffeners in the fundamental equations are considered. the equilibrium and nonlinear stability equations in terms of the displacement components for the stiffened shells are derived with the third-order shear deformation theory and Leckhniskii smeared stiffener technique. the closed-form expressions for determining the buckling load and postbuckling load-deflection curves are obtained with the Galerkin method. the effects of the stiffeners, the foundations, the material and dimensional parameters, and the pre-existent axial compressive and thermal load are considered.
