Upper-Mantle Velocity Heterogeneity of Eastern Tibetan Plateau from Teleseismic P-Wave Tomography and its Tectonic implications

An attempt has been made to reveal the upper mantle velocity structure of the eastern Tibetan Plateau using 628 teleseismic events recorded from 2003 to 2009 at 95 stations.A total of 8 532 Pwave arrival time residuals were inverted by using the FMTOMO(fast marching tomography) software *** results show upper mantle velocity heterogeneity in many *** the southern part visible high velocity anomaly is denoted as the indian *** part seems to be affected by slab tearing at 940E longitude as it is located on the eastern Himalayan syntaxis(EHS).The high velocity zone down to 500 km depth in the northern part could be the Asian *** the central part some high velocity anomalies can be identified as detached patches of the lithosphere,surrounded by low velocity *** anomalies are the potential to create thermal convection and trigger plateau uplift or plateau *** velocity change occurs on both sides of patches where low velocity anomaly is visible in between patches and Bangong-Nujiang suture even in between Songpan-Ganzi terrain and Asian *** both cases intense low velocity zone spread down to 500 *** depth range of low velocity anomalies in between two plates observed from 200 to-500 *** the low velocity anomalies detected in our results may reflect either the hot asthenosphere upwelling or the mantle wedge due to the presence of the cold lithosphere.

Understanding the neural underpinning of human gait and balance is one of the most pertinent challenges for 21st-century translational neuroscience due to the profound impact that falls and mobility disturbances have on our aging *** and gait control does not happen automatically,as previously believed,but rather requires continuous involvement of central nervous *** effectively exert control over the body,the brain must integrate multiple streams of sensory information,including visual,vestibular,and somatosensory *** mechanisms which underpin the integration of these multisensory signals are the principal topic of the present *** multisensory integration theories focus on how failure of cognitive processes thought to be involved in multisensory integration leads to falls in older *** emphasis,however,has been placed on specific contributions of individual sensory modalities to multisensory integration processes and cross-modal interactions that occur between the sensory modalities in relation to gait and *** the present work,we review the contributions of somatosensory,visual,and vestibular modalities,along with their multisensory intersections to gait and balance in older adults and patients with Parkinson’s *** also review evidence of vestibular contributions to multisensory temporal binding windows,previously shown to be highly pertinent to fall risk in older ***,we relate multisensory vestibular mechanisms to potential neural substrates,both at the level of neurobiology(concerning positron emission tomography imaging)and at the level of electrophysiology(concerning electroencephalography).We hope that this integrative review,drawing influence across multiple subdisciplines of neuroscience,paves the way for novel research directions and therapeutic neuromodulatory approaches,to improve the lives of older adults and patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

Pancreatic cancer is usually associated with a poor *** is the main curative treatment but pancreatic operations are aggressive and new tools that help clinicians to predict surgical and prognostic outcomes are *** et al recently published a retrospective,single centre cohort study evaluating the impact of seven nutritional and inflammatory markers in pancreatic cancer surgical patients:The albumin-to-globulin ratio,prognostic nutritional index(PNi),systemic immune-inflammation index(Sii),neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR),nutritional risk index,and the geriatric nutritional risk index.A significant correlation was found between the PNi,Sii,NLR,and PLR and a hospital discharge of less than 15 *** a univariable analysis,PNi,Sii,NLR and PLR were significantly related to recurrence-free survival and,in a multivariable analysis PNi was associated with overall *** meta-analyses corroborate the results in terms of prognosis but individual studies are discordant on their ***,the cut-off values for these markers vary significantly between studies and there are no clinical trials comparing them to identify the most relevant *** are limitations when implementing nutritional and inflammatory biomarkers into clinical practice and further studies are needed in order to answer these questions.

The formulae are established in position,momentum,and four-dimensional spaces for the one-range addition theorems of generalized integer and noninteger μ Coulomb,and exponential type correlated interaction potentials with hyperbolic cosine（GCTCP and GETCP HC）.These formulae are expressed in terms of one-range addition theorems of complete orthonormal sets of Ψα-exponential type orbitals（Ψ α-ETO）,α-momentum space orbitals（α-MSO）,and zα-hyperspherical harmonics（zα-HSH） *** one-range addition theorems obtained can be useful in the electronic structure calculations of atoms and molecules when the GCTCP and GETCP HC in position,momentum,and four-dimensional spaces are employed.

The thermal stress in a magnetic core–shell nanoparticle during a thermal process is an important parameter to be known and controlled in the magnetization process of the core–shell system. in this paper we analyze the stress that appears in a core–shell nanoparticle subjected to a cooling process. The external surface temperature of the system, considered in equilibrium at room temperature, is instantly reduced to a target temperature. The thermal evolution of the system in time and the induced stress are studied using an analytical model based on a time-dependent heat conduction equation and a differential displacement equation in the formalism of elastic displacements. The source of internal stress is the difference in contraction between core and shell materials due to the temperature change. The thermal stress decreases in time and is minimized when the system reaches the thermal equilibrium. The radial and azimuthal stress components depend on system geometry, material properties, and initial and final temperatures. The magnitude of the stress changes the magnetic state of the core–shell system. For some materials, the values of the thermal stresses are larger than their specific elastic limits and the materials begin to deform plastically in the cooling process. The presence of the induced anisotropy due to the plastic deformation modifies the magnetic domain structure and the magnetic behavior of the system.
