The following paper reports on a comparative study of the effects of two types of carbon nanotubes,namely multiwall(MWCNT)and single-wall(SWCNT)carbon nanotube,on the properties of 3D-printed parts produced with acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)nanocomposites with various CNT loadings of5-10 wt.%.Quasi-static tensile properties and Vicat softening temperature of 3D-printed parts were enhanced with the increasing CNT *** highest enhancement in tensile properties was observed for the ABS/CNT nanocomposites at 10 wt.%filler loading.3D-printed ABS/SWCNT composites showed higher tensile modulus,better creep stability and higher Vicat ***,the strength of ABS/SWCNT 3D samples is relatively lower than that of ABS/*** addition,3D-printed parts exhibited anisotropic electrical conductive behaviour,which has a conductivity of through-layer of about2-3 orders of magnitude higher than *** highest conductivity of 3D-printed samples reached25.2 S/m,and 9.3 S/m for ABS/MWCNT and ABS/SWCNT composites at 10 wt.%,*** results obtained,*** successful fuse filament fabrication and the consequent electromechanical properties,confirm that these 3D printable nanocomposite could be properly utilized for the production,and application up to about 90°C,of thermoelectric devices and/or resistors for flexible circuits.

The DTH8-Hd1 Module Mediates Day-Length-Dependent Regulation of Rice Flowering

Photoperiodic flowering is one of the most important pathways to govern flowering in rice （Oryza sativa）, in which Heading date 1 （Hdl）, an ortholog of the Arabidopsis CONSTANS gene, encodes a pivotal regulator. Hdl promotes flowering under short-day conditions （SD） but represses flowering under long-day conditions （LD） by regulating the expression of Heading date 3a （Hd3a）, the FLOWERING LOCUS T （FT） ortholog in rice. However, the molecular mechanism of how Hdl changes its regulatory activity in response to day length remains largely unknown. In this study, we demonstrated that the repression of flowering in LD by Hdl is dependent on the transcription factor DAYS TO HEADING 8 （DTHS）. Loss of DTH8 function results in the activation of Hd3a by Hdl, leading to early flowering. We found that Hdl directly interacts with DTH8 and that the formation of the DTH8-Hd1 complex is necessary for the transcriptional repression of Hd3a by Hdl in LD, implicating that the switch of Hdl function is mediated by DTH8 in LD rather than in SD. Furthermore, we revealed that DTH8 associates with the Hd3a promoter to modulate the level of H3K27 trimethylation （H3K27me3） at the Hd3a locus. In the presence of the DTH8-Hdl complex, the H3K27me3 level was increased at Hd3a, whereas loss of DTH8 function resulted in decreased H3K27me3 level at Hd3a. Taken together, our findings indicate that, in response to day length, DTH8 plays a critical role in mediating the transcriptional regulation of Hd3a by Hdl through the DTH8-Hd1 module to shape epigenetic modifications in photoperiodic flowering.

A Comparison Study of Deep Galerkin Method and Deep Ritz Method for Elliptic Problems with Different Boundary Conditions

Recent years have witnessed growing interests in solving partial differential equations by deep neural networks,especially in the high-dimensional *** classical numerical methods,such as finite difference method and finite element method,the enforcement of boundary conditions in deep neural networks is highly *** general strategy is to use the penalty *** the work,we conduct a comparison study for elliptic problems with four different boundary conditions,i.e.,Dirichlet,Neumann,Robin,and periodic boundary conditions,using two representative methods:deep Galerkin method and deep Ritz *** the former,the PDE residual is minimized in the least-squares sense while the corresponding variational problem is minimized in the ***,it is reasonably expected that deep Galerkin method works better for smooth solutions while deep Ritz method works better for low-regularity ***,by a number of examples,we observe that deep Ritz method can outperform deep Galerkin method with a clear dependence of dimensionality even for smooth solutions and deep Galerkin method can also outperform deep Ritz method for low-regularity ***,in some cases,when the boundary condition can be implemented in an exact manner,we find that such a strategy not only provides a better approximate solution but also facilitates the training process.

Ototoxicity of a new glycopeptide, norvancomycin with multiple intravenous administrations in guinea pigs

Time courses of plasma concentration of a new glycopeptide, norvancomycin (NVCM) after single intravenous (iv) and intraperitoneal (ip) injection, and the peak plasma concentrations (Cmax's) of this drug at various doses after single iv injection were determined in guinea pigs. There were significant differences in pharmaeokinetic parameters between the two routes of administration and the Cmax linearly increased with the dose used increasing. Guinea pigs with normal hearing were then used to investigate ototoxic liability of NVCM after multiple intravenous administrations (54, 108, 216 mg/kg, qd for 14 days).

近些年来,随着对《格萨尔》史诗的搜集、整理和研究,《格萨尔》史诗已经成为了一门“显学”,成为了藏学研究的主要组成部分。《格萨尔》史诗以其宏大的包容性和黏合性,具有了藏民族百科全书的功效。不仅是独具藏民族审美艺术特色的史诗,也具备了藏民族的宇宙观、自然观和生态观的重要研究价值。纵观《格萨尔》史诗,以大量篇幅,描绘西藏区域的自然环境状貌和“天、地、神、人”共生的关系理念,体现出了藏族人民朴素的生态观和生态价值。众所周知,《格萨尔》史诗是以集体创作、口头流传的方式,以活的文学载体在青藏高原传播千年的民间文学艺术。这样的存在方式,就决定着它以民间为土壤,以灵动鲜活的状态被不断地创造和消费,体现出了藏民族的共同审美心理和价值取向。这也使得《格萨尔》史诗的生态观,体现出取自于民众的普遍审美心理,同时造就了藏民族总体生态观的价值取向。

Effect of berberine against cerebral ischemia and reperfusion involving in the methylation of PPARγ promoter

Cerebral ischemia has higher incidence and causes irreversible damage to people. As a traditional drug for anti-inflammation, berberine（BBR） has recently been reported to have protective effect against cerebral ischemia. However, the mechanism has not been explored thoroughly. By employing in vivo and in vitro models for cerebral ischemia and reperfusion, we studied the mechanism of BBR against the ischemia-reperfusion. We found that BBR regulated the expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor（PPARγ） in a specific way upon ischemia-reperfusion injury. BBR enhanced the PPARγ expression during cerebral ischemia-reperfusion. By inhibiting PPARγ activity uisng GW9662, a PPARγ inhibitor, we confirmed that BBR protected the mouse brain against the ischemia in a PPARγ-dependent mechanism. In addition, we found that BBR reduced the overall global methylation, declined the expressions of DNMT1（DNA methyltransferases 1） and DNMT3a（DNA methyltransferases 3a） in the ischemia-reperfusion and reduced the methylation of PPARγ promoter region. Therefore, our data suggested that PPARγ was one of major targets of BBR, and such BBR-induced PPARγ expression during cerebral ischemia and reperfusion might be correlated to the reduced methylation of PPARγ promoter.
