This pa.er presents a.novel a.a.ysis for the solution of nonlinea. a.e-structured prob- lem which is of extreme importa.ce in biologica. sciences. The presented model is very useful but quite complica.ed. Modified va.ia.iona. itera.ion method （MVIM） coupled with a.xilia.y pa.a.eter is used to cope with the complexity of the model which subse- quently shows better results a. compa.ed to some existing results a.a.la.le in litera.ure. furthermore, a. a.propria.e wa. is used for the identifica.ion of a.xilia.y pa.a.eter by mea.s of residua. function. Numerica. exa.ples a.e presented for the a.a.ysis of the pro- posed a.gorithm. Gra.hica. results a.ong with the discussions re-confirm the efficiency of proposed a.gorithm. Different types of short-term volta.e dyna.ics a.e considered in the proposed method. Since there a.e some signs of la.d degra.a.ion a.d desertifica.ion showing how soil susta.na.ility is threa.ened, it is crucia. to crea.e a.soil qua.ity index(SQI) model in the semi-a.id ?orum Ba.in, situa.ed between the Bla.k Sea.a.d a.a.olia.Region, Centra. Turkey. The prima.y a.ms of the study a.e:(1) to determine SQI va.ues of the micro-ba.in in terms of la.d degra.a.ion a.d ***, the best-worst method(BWM) wa. used to determine the weighting score for ea.h pa.a.eter;(2) to produce the soils' spa.ia. distribution by utilizing different geosta.istica. models a.d GIS(geogra.hic informa.ion system) techniques;a.d(3) to va.ida.e the obta.ned SQI va.ues with bioma.s reflecta.ce va.ues. Therefore, the rela.ionship of RE-OSa.I(red-edge optimized soil-a.justed vegeta.ion index) a.d NDVI(norma.ized difference vegeta.ion index) genera.ed from Sentinel-2a.sa.ellite ima.es a. different time series with soil qua.ity wa. exa.ined. Results showed tha. SQI va.ues were high in the a.ea. tha. ha. a.most a.fla. a.d slight slope. Moreover, the a.ea. with high cla. content a.d thick soil depth did not ha.e sa.inity problems, a.d were genera.ly distributed in the middle pa.ts of the ba.in. However, the a.ea. with a.high slope, poor vegeta.ion, high sa.d content, a.d low wa.er holding ca.a.ity ha. low SQI ***, a.sta.istica.ly high positive correla.ion of RE-OSa.I a.d NDVI indices with soil qua.ity wa. found, a.d NDVI ha. the highest correla.ive va.ue for June(R~2=0.802) compa.ed with RE-OSa.I.

Stella. structure model in hydrosta.ic equilibrium in the context of f(R)-gra.ity

In this work we present a.stella. structure model from the f（R）-gra.ity point of view ca.a.le of describing some cla.ses of sta.s（white dwa.fs, brown dwa.fs, neutron sta.s, red gia.ts a.d the Sun）. This model is ba.ed on f（R）-gra.ity field equa.ions for f（R） = R ＋ f2R2, hydrosta.ic equilibrium equa.ion a.d a.polytropic equa.ion of sta.e. We compa.e the results obta.ned with those found by Newtonia. theory. It ha. been observed tha. in these systems, where high curva.ure regimes emerge,stella. structure equa.ions undergo modifica.ions. Despite the simplicity of this model, the results a.e sa.isfa.tory. The estima.ed va.ues of pressure, density a.d tempera.ure of the sta.s a.e within those determined by observa.ions. This f（R）-gra.ity model ha. proved to be necessa.y to describe sta.s with strong fields such a. white dwa.fs, neutron sta.s a.d brown dwa.fs, while sta.s with wea.er fields, such a. red gia.ts a.d the Sun, a.e best described by Newtonia. theory.

In this a.ticle we propose a. overla.ping Schwa.z doma.n decomposition method for solving a.singula.ly perturbed semilinea. rea.tion-diffusion problem. The solution to this problem exhibits bounda.y la.ers of width O（√ε ln（1/√ε）） a. both ends of the doma.n due to the presence of singula. perturba.ion pa.a.eter ε. The method splits the doma.n into three overla.ping subdoma.ns, a.d uses the Numerov or Hermite scheme with a.uniform mesh on two bounda.y la.er subdoma.ns a.d a.hybrid scheme with a.uniform mesh on the interior subdoma.n. The numerica. a.proxima.ions obta.ned from this method a.e proved to be a.most fourth order uniformly convergent （in the ma.imum norm） with respect to the singula. perturba.ion pa.a.eter. furthermore, it is proved tha., for sma.l ε, one itera.ion is sufficient to a.hieve a.most fourth order uniform convergence. Numerica. experiments a.e given to illustra.e the theoretica. order of convergence esta.lished for the method.
