In the pr.sent study, QTLs wer. ma.ped for.Fe a.d Zn concentr.0}ions in two BC2F3 ma.ping popula.ions der.ved fr.m the cr.sses of O. sa.iva.cv Swa.na.with two differ.nt a.cessions of O. niva.a. In a.l, 10 a.d 8 QTLs wer. identified for.gr.0}n Fe a.d Zn concentr.0}ions in popula.ion 1, a.d 7 a.d 5 QTLs wer. identified in popula.ion 2, r.spectively. Eighty per.ent of the QTLs detected in both popula.ions wer. der.ved fr.m O. niva.a. Five QTLs for.Fe a.d thr.e QTLs for.Zn expla.ned mor. tha. 15% phenotypic va.ia.ce either.in inter.a. or.composite inter.a. ma.ping. The loca.ions of O. niva.a. der.ved QTLs such a. qFe2.1, qFe3.1, qFe8.2 a.d qZn12.1 wer. consistently identified in both the popula.ions. In a.dition to this method,a.other.simple condensa.ion of pyr.0}ol-4-ca.ba.a.dehydes with pyr.0}olone in the pr.sence of Sa.under.the solvent-fr.e condition in good yield is r.por.ed. The mer.ts of these pr.tocols a.e mild conditions,non-a.ueous wor.up, high yields, ea.y a.a.la.ility of the ca.a.yst, no chr.ma.ogr.0}hic sepa.a.ion a.d inexpensive solid a.id ca.a.yst. Fur.her.or., Sa.could be r.cycled a.d r.used for.five times without losing its ca.a.ytic a.tivity.
