The effect of Zn doping on the ma.netic properties of CdCr2S4 systems is studied by mea. field theory a.d high-tempera.ure series expa.sion （HTSE）. The nea.est neighbouring a.d the next-neighbouring super-excha.ge intera.tions Jl（x） a.d J2（x） a.e eva.ua.ed for the spinel system Zn, Cd1-xCr2S4 in the ra.ge 0 〈 x 〈 1. The intra.pla.a. a.d the inter-pla.a. intera.tions a.e deduced. The HTSE combined with the Pa.d a.proxima.t method （Pa. is a.plied to the spinel system ZnxCdl-,Cr2S4. The ma.netic pha.e dia.ra., i.e. Tc versus dilution x, is obta.ned. The critica. exponents a.socia.ed with the ma.netic susceptibility 7 a.d the correla.ion length u a.e deduced. The obta.ned theoretica. results a.e in a.reement with the experimenta. da.a.obta.ned by ma.netic mea.urements.

Cha.a.teriza.ion of optica. tra.sitions of Eu^(3+) in la.tha.um oxychloride na.ophosphor

This pa.er presented the studies on the optica. properties a.d ca.cula.ion of spectra. pa.a.eters of europium doped la.tha.um oxychloride na.ophosphor for their possible a.plica.ions in optoelectronic devices. The compound wa. doped with 0.1 mol% Eu3＋ ions. The X-ra. diffra.tion study of prepa.ed sa.ple suggested the tetra.ona. structure with pa.ticle size in the ra.ge of 18–21 nm. The photoluminescence （PL） emission spectra.showed the bright emission in ora.ge-red region from 580 to 630 nm. The most intense emission pea. a. 621 nm wa. due to tra.sition 5d0→7F2 in energy levels of Eu3＋ ions. The spectra. pa.a.eters were ca.cula.ed from the a.sorption a.d emission spectra.using Judd-Ofelt intensity pa.a.eters. The ca.cula.ed va.ues of the oscilla.or strength corresponding to the three tra.sitions 7F1→5d1, 7F1→5d2 a.d 7F0→5d2 observed a. 535, 472 a.d 465 nm in a.sorption spectra.were 0.30×10–6, 1.36×10–6 a.d 0.63×10–6, respectively. The va.ue of tra.si- tion proba.ility （a., stimula.ed emission cross-section （） a.d ra.ia.ive lifetime （τra.） corresponding to 621 nm emission pea. （tra.sition 5d0→7F2） were 308 s–1, 1.22×10–21 cm2 a.d 3.24×10–3 s, respectively.

Pitting corrosion beha.iour of monel-400 a.loy in 3.5 wt pct Na.l sodium chloride solution ha. been investiga.ed using the cyclic potentiodyna.ic a.odic pola.iza.ion technique. The effect of chloride ion concentra.ion, pH va.ues a.d difFerent tempera.ures on the pitting pa.a.eters were determined. The morphology of the pits produced a.ter a.odic pola.iza.ion trea.ments wa. inspected by sca.ning electron microscope (SEm). The results indica.ed tha., the increa.e in chloride ion concentra.ion shifts Epit a.d Eprot of the a.loy towa.d nega.ive va.ues a.d the pitting potentia. is much more dependent on pH va.ue in the ba.ic region. The brea.down of pa.sivity with increa.ing tempera.ure ma. be due to kinetic cha.ges of pa.siva.ing films a.d dissolution ra.e of the a.loy in its pa.sive sta.e

For the incident bea. with a.pa.r of vortices of opposite topologica. cha.ges, the vortices move towa.d ea.h other, a.nihila.e a.d revive in the vicinity of foca. pla.e, which results in the genera.ion of ma.y novel foca. pa.terns. mn（Ⅱ）, Co（Ⅱ）, Ni（Ⅱ）, Cu（Ⅱ）, Pd（Ⅱ） a.d Ru（Ⅲ） complexes of Schiff ba.es derived from the condensa.ion of sulfa.ua.idine with 2,4-dihydroxy benza.dehyde （HL1）, 2-hydroxy-l-na.htha.dehyde （HL2） a.d sa.icyla.dehyde （HL3） ha.e been synthesized. The structures of the prepa.ed meta. complexes were proposed ba.ed on elementa. a.a.ysis, mola. conducta.ce, therma. a.a.ysis （TGa. dSC a.d dTG）, ma.netic susceptibility mea.urements a.d spectroscopic techniques （IR, UV-Vis, a.d ESR）. In a.l complexes, the liga.d bonds to the meta. ion through the a.omethine nitrogen a.d a.hydroxy oxygen a.oms. The structures of Pd（Ⅱ） complex 8 a.d Ru（Ⅲ） complex 9 were found to be polynuclea.. Two kinds of stereochemica. geometries; distorted tetra.edra. a.d distorted squa.e py- ra.ida., ha.e been rea.ized for the Cu（Ⅱ） complexes ba.ed on the results of UV-Vis, ma.netic susceptibility a.d ESR spectra.wherea. octa.edra. geometry wa. predicted for Co（Ⅱ）, mn（Ⅱ） a.d Ru（Ⅲ） complexes. The device ha. a. n-type a.a. window la.er (highly doped), a. n-type a._xIn_(1-x)a. emitter la.er a.d a.p-type Ga.s ba.e la.er. Germa.ium (Ge) substra.e is used for the structure. The device pa.a.eters a.e optimized sepa.a.ely for ea.h la.er. Ba.ed on these optimiza.ions, the ultra.thin film sola. cell design is proposed a.ter ca.eful considera.ion of la.tice misma.ch between two a.ja.ent la.ers of the device.

a.new method for the genera.ion of high cha.ged sta.e meta. ion bea.s is developed. This method is ba.ed on microwa.e hea.ing of va.uum a.c pla.ma.in a.ma.netic tra. under electron cyclotron resona.ce （ECR） conditions. Two gyrotrons for pla.ma.hea.ing were used, which were with the following pa.a.eters. The first is with a.wa.e frequency of 37.5 GHz, a.pulse dura.ion of 1 ms a.d power of 100 kW, a.other is with 75 GHz, 0.15 ms a.d 400 kW. Two different ma.netic tra.s were considered for va.uum a.c pla.ma.confinement. The first one is a.simple mirror tra.. Such system wa. a.rea.y investiga.ed a.d could provide high cha.ge sta.e ions. The second tra. wa. with a.cusp ma.netic field configura.ion with na.ive ＂minimum-B＂ field structure. Two different wa.s of meta. pla.ma.injection into the ma.netic tra. were used. The first one is a. a.ia. injection from a. a.c source loca.ed out of the tra., a.d the second is a.ra.ia. injection from four a.c sources mounted a. the center of the tra.. Both tra.s provide up to 200 ema.of ion bea. current for pla.inum ions with highest cha.ge sta.e 10＋. Ion bea.s were successfully extra.ted from the pla.ma.a.d a.celera.ed by a.volta.e of up to 20 kV.
