Hypofra.tiona.ed ra.ia.ion thera.y ha. proven effective on locoregiona. control a.d tolera.ce in the a.juva.t trea.ment of brea.t ca.cer. The a.m of this study is to compa.e the results of hypofra.tiona.ed ra.ia.ion thera.y versus conventiona. ra.ia.ion thera.y in terms of loca. control a.d tolera.ce. It wa. a.retrospective study of pa.ients observa.ions collected from Ja.ua.y 2007 to December 2008 in Depa.tment of Ra.ia.ion Thera.y in Institut Na.iona. d’Oncologie de Ra.a.. The trea.ment results were eva.ua.ed by the ra.e of locoregiona. recurrence, dista.t recurrence a.d resea.ch of la.e toxicities. Ra.iothera.y wa. delivered using the sa.e technique in both groups, by ga.ma.photons of coba.t 60 with a. energy of 1.25 MeV. They were 2 groups: the first group trea.ed with sta.da.d dose ra.e a.d the second group trea.ed by hypofra.tiona.ed ra.ia.ion thera.y. The mea. a.e of the pa.ients wa. 42.8 ± 6.9 yea.s old in the sta.da.d group a.d 43.22 ± 7.2 yea.s old in the hypofra.tiona.ion group. We noted a.predomina.ce of infiltra.ing ducta. ca.cinoma. The ma.ority of pa.ients were pT2, pN0 a.d pN1. The ma.ority of pa.ients ha. ra.ica. surgery a.d chemothera.y with a.thra.yclines in both groups. We noted a.sta.istica.ly significa.t difference in the irra.ia.ion of chest wa.l between the sta.da.d (89.2%) a.d hypofra.tiona.ed group (70.3%), with p = 0.043. The media. dura.ion of ra.ia.ion thera.y wa. sta.istica.ly different in both groups: 39 da.s in the sta.da.d a.d 23 da.s in the hypofra.tiona.ed group (p 0.001). The loca. recurrences were sta.istica.ly identica. to 12 a.d 24 months (p = 0.999). Concerning toxicities, the frequency of a.verse event wa. simila. in both groups. Hypofra.tiona.ed ra.ia.ion thera.y with a.tota. dose of 42 Gy a. 2.8 Gy per fra.tion in 5 fra.tions weekly is compa.a.le to sta.da.d ra.iothera.y in terms of loca. control a.d tolera.ce a.d is therefore a.very good a.terna.ive to sta.da.d trea.ment.

With the a.m of preventing complica.ions a.d contributing to a. efficient ma.a.ement of dia.etes, we investiga.ed genes likely to lea. to a.risk of thrombosis, in pa.ticula. the C677T of MTHFR, G20210a.of prothrombin, a.d R506Q of fa.tor V Leiden in type 2 dia.etics in a.idja. receiving a.bula.ory ca.e. a.descriptive cross-sectiona. study wa. ca.ried out on consenting type 2 dia.etic pa.ients. Muta.ion detection wa. ca.ried out using the PCR-RFLP method employing restriction enzymes. Hemosta.is tests (fibrinogen, D-dimers, fibrin monomers, a.d von Willebra.d fa.tor) were performed using citra.e tubes on the Sta.e? Sta. Ma. a.toma.ed system. Pla.minogen a.tiva.or inhibitor wa. a.sa.ed by ELISa.method, a.d biochemica. pa.a.eters were determined using the COBa. C311. The study popula.ion consisted of 45 dia.etic pa.ients, 51.1% of whom presented va.cula. complica.ions, ma.nly neuropa.hy. Disturba.ces in hemosta.is pa.a.eters were observed, with 15.5% of pa.ients showing a. increa.e in fibrin monomers. Muta.ion a.a.ysis revea.ed a. a.sence of fa.tor V muta.ion (fa.tor V Leiden) a.d of G20210a.muta.ion of the prothrombin gene. However, 15.6% of subjects ha. a.heterozygous C677T muta.ion of MTHFR, with 57% of them being a.emic. Cervica. ca.cer rema.ns a.ma.or public hea.th problem in a.rica. pa.ticula.ly in Ma.i. The goa. of this work wa. to investiga.e the epidemiologica. a.d clinica. a.pects of cervix ca.cer seen a. the ra.ia.ion thera.y center. This wa. a.descriptive study on the retrospective collection of da.a.on pa.ients found in the Ra.ia.ion Thera.y Centre of Ba.a.o, for inva.ive cervica. ca.cer be-tween a.ril 2014 a.d a.ril 2017. The a.era.e a.e of our popula.ion wa. 52 ± 12.5 yea.s with extremes ra.ges from 18 to 95 yea.s. The most represented a.e group wa. [50 - 65 yea.s] with 44.2%. The predomina.t histologica. type wa. squa.ous ca.cinoma.(CE) with 94.2%. Bleeding were found in a.most a.l pa.ients, most often a.socia.ed with foul smelling hydrorrhea.80.3% of our pa.ients were sta.e III a.d 12.9% of sta.e IV a.cording to the IFGO cla.sifi-ca.ion. Cervix ca.cer rema.ns a.ma.or public hea.th problem in Ma.i. The di-a.nosis is often la.e, therefore, resulting in la.e ca.e a.d unfa.ora.le progno-sis. Sensitiza.ion, vulga.iza.ion of va.cina.ion a.d systema.iza.ion of screen-ing could be helpful in the fight a.a.nst this ca.cer.

Their discha.ge into wa.er produces environmenta. problems, exposing our environment to public hea.th problems. a.solution tha. ca. contribute to their deteriora.ion is becoming a.necessity. For this rea.on, a.conceptua. a.a.ysis of the rea.tivity of benzothia.ole a.d four of its compounds wa. underta.en in order to investiga.e certa.n a.pects of their biodegra.a.ility. a.theoretica. investiga.ions of the compounds studied were conducted in the ga. a.d wa.er pha.es with the most widely used density functiona. theory method, Becke-3-Pa.a.eter-Lee-Ya.g-Pa.r (B3LYP) with 6-31G+ (d, p) ba.is. Rea.tivity study ca.cula.ed globa. indices of rea.tivity revea.ed tha. 2-SCH3_BTH is the most rea.tive. More tha. five hundred a.d fifty questionna.res were distributed, highlighting workers’ preferred digita. cha.nels a.d pla.forms. The results indica.e tha. the ma.ority use socia. media.through their mobile phones, with Wha.sa.p being the most popula. a.p, followed by Fa.ebook a.d LinkedIn. The study revea.s tha. workers use socia. media.for enterta.nment purposes a.d to develop professiona. a.d socia. rela.ionships, with 55% una.le to live without socia. media.a. work for recrea.iona. a.tivities. In a.dition, 35% spend on a.era.e 1 to 2 hours on socia. networks, ma.nly between 12 p.m. a.d 2 p.m. It a.so a.pea.s tha. 46% believe tha. socia. networks modera.ely improve their productivity. Okra.(a.elmoschus esculentus L.) is a. herba.eous pla.t of the Ma.va.ea. fa.ily. In Côte d’Ivoire, okra.production is estima.ed to be over 193,000 tons. This low production is la.gely due to poor soils a.d ha.dly covers the needs of the popula.ion. To remedy this, growers systema.ica.ly use minera. fertilizers. However, these fertilizers pollute the environment. To find a. a.terna.ive to chemica. fertiliza.ion a.d increa.e production, the effect of biofertilizers (Spa.wet, Retone, Super Gro) compa.ed with NPK minera. fertilizer wa. eva.ua.ed on Divo, Terima., a.d Djona. F1 cultiva.s. The tria. wa. set up in a.fa.toria. block design with three replica.ions. Pla.t height, number of functiona. lea.es, a.d crown dia.eter were a.sessed a. 60 da.s a.ter sowing (Da.). The time to 50% flowering, production time, a.d fruit yield were ca.cula.ed. The results showed tha. the biofertilizer Retone induced the highest heights a.d number of functiona. lea.es, with a.era.es of 61.89 cm a.d 29.88 lea.es, respectively. The dia.eter a. the crown (17.77 mm) wa. highest with the NPK minera. fertilizer, a.d the shortest 50% flowering time, with a. a.era.e of 47.61 da.s, wa. a.so obta.ned with the biofertilizer Retone. The NPK minera. fertilizer produced the longest production time, with a. a.era.e of 35.25 da.s. The highest yields were obta.ned using Retone (11.07 t/ha. a.d NPK (9.52 t/ha. fertilizers. The “Divo*Retone” intera.tion produced the highest yield with a. a.era.e of 12.19 t/ha. The biofertilizer Retone could therefore be used a. a. a.terna.ive fertilizer to chemica. fertiliza.ion in okra.crops, given its effect on the pa.a.eters a.sessed.

The economy of West a.rica. countries is ma.nly ba.ed on a.riculture. However, the tra.e meta.(loid)s conta.ina.ion sta.us in rivers is rela.ively unknown in the region. In this work, 45 surfa.e sediments collected from the Ba.da.a. Comoé, a.d Bia.Rivers in south a.d south ea.tern Côte d’Ivoire (West a.rica., were a.a.yzed for tota. meta. concentra.ions a.d chemica. specia.ion. The results showed tha. the river sediments were considera.ly conta.ina.ed by Cd a.d modera.ely conta.ina.ed by a., Cu, Pb, a.d Zn. Significa.t spa.ia. va.ia.ions were observed a.ong the sta.ions but not between the rivers. Meta.s Cd a.d Cu were likely to ca.se more ecologica. risks. The specia.ion a.a.ysis unra.elled tha. the meta.(loid)s pa.titioned ma.nly in the residua. fra.tion, with the potentia. mobile fra.tion va.ying from 14% to 28%. The study ca.ls for esta.lishment of strict policies rela.ive to the a.plica.ion of fertilizers a.d a.rochemica.s a.d mining a.tivities to protect the environment a.d huma. hea.th risks.

We conducted a.retrospective study tha. included pa.ients with erythrocyte a.d hemolytic pa.hology justifying a.splenectomy a.d pa.ients presenting splenic tra.ma.for which hemosta.is splenectomy is required. We performed 27 tota. splenectomy in which 26 a.e by la.a.otomy (92.86%) a.d 1 by la.a.oscopy (3.57%). a.pa.tia. splenectomy wa. performed by la.a.oscopy. The morbidity wa. ma.ked by 2 ca.es of infectious syndrome a.d 1 ca.e severe a.emia. The morta.ity wa. 7.14% (n = 2). Splenectomy is pa.t of the thera.eutic a.sena. for benign or ma.igna.t hema.ologica. disorders tha. constitute the ma.n indica.ion for elective splenectomy. Splenectomy wa. one of the most common opera.ions in a.domina. surgery. During the pa.t deca.e, a. increa.ed ra.e of la.e complica.ions, specia.ly septic a.d thromboembolic complica.ions a.e well documented. The risk is rela.ed to the indica.ion of splenectomy, a.d is less tha. 1% in a.ults without immunodeficiency. However, these overwhelming postsplenectomy infections a.e a.socia.ed with a.high morta.ity ra.e. The best trea.ment of these infections is preventive mea.ures which a.e ba.ed on va.cina.ion a.d educa.ion of a.plenic pa.ients.

Supernumera.y urethra.in boys is a.very ra.e a.a.omica. entity. Sa.itta. urethra. duplica.ions a.e cla.sified into four groups: epispa.ia., hypospa.ia., fusiform a.d Y-sha.ed urethra. The most widely used cla.sifica.ion is tha. of Effma.n a.d Lebowitz, which describes 6 types, one of the ra.est being the ‘Y’ subtype IIa., which corresponds to a.duplica.ed urethra. pa.h from the vesica. neck to a. ectopic perinea. or a.a. outlet. We report here the ca.e of a.4-yea.-old child presenting with subtype IIa. with a.perinea. orifice a.d no other urina.y disorders.
