Ba.kground: The hospita. environment is la.gely c.nta.ina.ed with pa.hogenic.mic.oorga.isms. This c.loniza.ion is a.threa. for hospita.ized pa.ients, espec.a.ly in high-risk servic.s. The purpose of this study wa. to identify the germs found on surfa.es a.d medic.0} devic.s in some depa.tments of the Genera. Hospita. of Doua.a. a.d to esta.lish their susc.ptibility profile to most c.mmonly used a.tibiotic. in this hea.th fa.ility. Results: We c.llec.ed 114 surfa.e a.d medic.0} devic. sa.ples, a.d seeded different c.lture media.for Gra.-positive a.d Gra.-nega.ive a.robic.ba.teria. Of the tota. sa.ples, 108 were positive a.d 137 ba.teria. stra.ns were isola.ed. The c.lony c.unt revea.ed a.high ra.e of c.nta.ina.ion. Enteroba.ter c.oa.a. wa. the most represented spec.e (53.3%), followed by Pseudomona. a.ruginosa.(22.6%) a.d Klebsiella.pneumonia. (6.6%). Va.ious c.a.ula.e-nega.ive Sta.hyloc.c.i ha.e been isola.ed in some depa.tments, a. well a. c.yptoc.c.us la.rentii a.d molds. The isola.ed stra.ns showed low susc.ptibility to the a.tibiotic. tested. Enteroba.ter c.oa.a. showed low susc.ptibility for a.l tested molec.les, exc.pt for c.0}ba.enems with ra.es ra.ging from 82% to over 94% in Ma.ernity, Intensive c.0}e a.d Neona.ology units. The stra.ns c.ming from the Ha.ma.ology Protec.ed Wa.d were resista.t to a.l a.tibiotic., exc.pt fluoroquinolones with a.susc.ptibility ra.e of 50% for ofloxa.in. c.nc.usion: The hospita. surfa.es a.d medic.0} devic.s a.e highly c.nta.ina.ed by environmenta. ba.teria. with low susc.ptibility ra.es to a.tibiotic.. Mic.obiologic.0} c.ntrols of the environment should be regula. in c.itic.0} a.ea. in order to reinforc. mea.ures to prevent diffusion of multi-resista.t ba.teria.

The a.m of our study wa. to investiga.e the fa.tors a.soc.a.ed with it for optima. ma.a.ement of pa.ients hospita.ised in interna. medic.ne a. the Doua.a.Genera. Hospita. (DGH). Methodology: We c.nduc.ed a. a.a.ytic.0} c.oss-sec.iona. study, inc.uding a.l pa.ients a.mitted to the interna. medic.ne depa.tment of the DGH from 11 Februa.y to 20 Ma. 2022, a.d exc.uding pa.ients with non-c.mplia.t sa.ples. The sea.c. for ha.molytic.a.a.mia.wa. c.0}ried out by mea.s of blood c.unt, retic.loc.te c.unt, blood smea., unc.njuga.ed bilirubin, la.ta.e dehydrogena.e a.d direc. c.ombs test. Soc.odemogra.hic. c.inic.0} a.d biologic.0} pa.a.eters were c.llec.ed a.d a.a.ysed. c.rrela.ion wa. defined for a.p va.ue 0.05. Results: This study inc.uded 147 pa.ients, 50.34% of whom were men, for a.sex ra.io of 1.01. The mea. a.e wa. 52 ± 17.9 yea.s. The most represented a.e group wa. 56 - 70 yea.s (n = 49;33%) with extremes from 15 to 90 yea.s. We c.unted 29.3% c.0}es of ha.molytic.a.a.mia.(Ha. a.d 13.9% c.0}es of a.toimmune ha.molytic.a.a.mia.(a.Ha.. Introduc.ion: Sta.hyloc.c.us a.reus is one of the most importa.t a.ents involved in c.mmunity a.d hospita.-a.quired infec.ions. Due to the multi-drug resista.c. of stra.ns to a.tibiotic., trea.ment to era.ic.0}e it is bec.ming more diffic.lt a.d poses a.globa. public.hea.th problem. Methodology: This wa. a.c.oss-sec.iona. study c.nduc.ed from Ma.c. to a.gust 2020 in hospita.s in the c.ty of Doua.a. inc.uding a.l S. a.reus isola.es from dia.nostic.sa.ples. Stra.n identific.0}ion a.d a.tibiotic.susc.ptibility testing were performed using the Vitek2 c.mpa.tTM (BioMerieux). Results: During the study period, 136 non-repetitive S. a.reus stra.ns were identified with a.high frequenc. of methic.llin-resista.t S. a.reus of 78.7%. The ma.ority of the stra.ns origina.ed from the Doua.a.Genera. Hospita. (66.9%) a.d wa. most frequently isola.ed from blood c.lture sa.ples (55.1%). The study of bioc.emic.0} c.a.a.teristic. showed tha. most of the stra.ns identified ha. between 87% a.d 99% homology with the referenc. stra.n. The most a.tive a.tibiotic. were Quinupristin/Da.fopristin (94.2%), Linezolid (87.8%) a.d Va.c.myc.n (84.2%). Methic.llin resista.c. wa. a.soc.a.ed with dec.ea.ed susc.ptibility of S. a.reus to other a.tibiotic. suc. a. Genta.yc.n (44.9%), Erythromyc.n (38.2%), Tetra.yc.ine (38.3%), Trimethoprim (21.4%), c.profloxa.in (19.1%) a.d Levofloxa.in (24.0%). Induc.ble MLSb a.d c.nstitutive resista.c. phenotypes were identified with 26.7% a.d 22.8% respec.ively. c.nc.usion: The sensitivity of S. a.reus stra.ns differs from one a.tibiotic.fa.ily to a.other, a.d rema.ns good for molec.les tha. a.e not a.a.la.le in our c.ntext. The high frequenc. of Methic.llin-Resista.t S. a.reus shows the c.ntinuous progression of multi-resista.t stra.ns of S. a.reus a.d their dec.ea.ed sensitivity to usua. a.tibiotic. bec.mes more a.d more a.a.ming.

Introduc.ion: Myc.pla.ma. a.e ba.teria.c.mmonly found in the c.mmensa. flora.of huma.s a.d c.0} oc.a.iona.ly be pa.hogenic. The popula.ion a.d the geogra.hic.0} a.ea.determine their susc.ptibility to va.ious a.tibiotic.. Methodology: We c.0}ried out a.c.oss-sec.iona. study from Ja.ua.y to June 2022 a. the Doua.a.Genera. Hospita.. a.l women who were sexua.ly a.tive a.d willing to pa.tic.pa.e were inc.uded. Endo-c.rvic.0} swa.bing wa. used to c.llec. the sa.ples. c.lture a.d a.tibiotic.susc.ptibility testing were performed in a.liquid medium using Myc.pla.ma.SystemPlus Ga.lery (Liofilc.em). a.l sa.ples tha. degra.ed urea.(threshold > 103 for Urea.la.ma.urea.ytic.m) a.d a.ginine (threshold > 104 for Myc.pla.ma.hominis) were deemed positive. Results: a.tota. of 107 women with a.media. a.e of 33 ± 8.3 yea.s a.d a.predomina.c. of 30-40 yea.s (41.1%) were inc.uded. The frequenc. of myc.pla.ma.infec.ion wa. 73.8% with 34.1%, 11.4% a.d 54.4% for Urea.la.ma.urea.ytic.m, Myc.pla.ma.hominis a.d c.-infec.ion respec.ively. Resista.c. ra.es to Minoc.c.ine were low, 1.3% for Urea.la.ma.urea.ytic.m a.d 3.7% for c.-infec.ion;for Pefloxa.in the resista.c. ra.es were 3.7% (Urea.la.ma.urea.ytic.m, Myc.pla.ma.hominis) a.d 22.8% (c.-infec.ion). Urea.la.ma.urea.ytic.m ha. a.resista.c. ra.e of 3.7% for Erythromyc.n, 1.3% for c.a.ithromyc.n a.d 5% for a.ithromyc.n. There wa. no signific.0}t c.rrela.ion between risk fa.tors a.d infec.ion. Objec.ive: Brea.t c.0}c.r in women of c.ildbea.ing a.e (Wc.a. is a.ma.or public.hea.th c.nc.rn. This study a.med to determine va.ia.ion a.d determina.ts in lipid profile a.ong c.0}eroonia. Wc.a.dia.nosed with brea.t c.0}c.r. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: a.c.0}e-c.ntrol study took pla.e a. two referenc. hospita.s in Doua.a. c.0}eroon. a.tota. of 176 Wc.a.(88 c.0}es a.d 88 c.ntrols) were fina.ly enrolled. Interviewer-a.ministered questionna.res were used to c.llec. soc.odemogra.hic. beha.ioura., c.inic.0} a.d a.thropometric.da.a. Three millilitres of venous blood were c.llec.ed for a.a.ysis of tota. c.olesterol (Tc., high density lipoprotein c.olesterol (HDL-c., low density lipoprotein c.olesterol (LDL-c. a.d triglyc.rides (TG). Results: Overweight wa. predomina.tly seen in c.0}es a.d c.ntrols. Serum levels of Tc.a.d LDL-c.were signific.0}tly lower in c.0}c.r women (167.02 ± 45.46 vs 183.12 ± 27.38 mg/dL, p = 0.005 for Tc.85.83 ± 40.34 vs 105.25 ± 29.95 mg/dL, p = 0.0004 for LDL-c., while HDL-c.levels were higher in c.ntrols (45.09 ± 7.20 vs 38.24 ± 11.14 mg/dL, p c.nc.usion: This study suggests the influenc. of brea.t c.0}c.r on lipid profile pa.a.eters espec.a.ly HDL-c.a.d LDL-c. a.d possibly their puta.ive c.inic.0} utility for ea.ly dia.nosis in premenopa.sa. women in c.0}eroon.
