Objective: The molecular mechanism of prostate cancer is poorly understood. The aim of the study was to investigate the prevalence and prognostic value of promoter hypermethylation of retinoic acid receptor beta (RARB) and p16 among benign prostatic hyperplasia (BpH) and prostate cancer patients. Methods: In this case-control study, 63 patients were included in three groups; 21 with BpH as the control group, 21 with prostate cancer and good prognostic factors (based on prostate-specific antigen, Gleason score and stage) as good prognosis group, and 21 with prostate cancer and poor prognostic features as poor prognosis group. The prostate biopsy specimen of each individual was examined for hypermethylation of RARB and p16 promoters by methylation specific pCR (MSpCR). Results: Seven (33.3%) patients with good prognosis and 15 (71.4%) patients with poor prognosis were positive for RARB methylation, which were significantly higher than controls (p p16 promoter methylation was shown in 19.0% and 47.6% patients with good and poor prognosis, respectively. The RARB and p16 promoter methylation in the poor prognosis group was significantly higher than that in the good prognosis group (p =0.02 for RARB and pp16). Conclusion: Hypermethylation of RARB and p16 promoters may predict prognosis in prostate cancer.

Two new types of block polyurethane elastomers were prepared using two polyols polyethyleneadipate and pTHF respectively, and diisocyanate MDI extended with Dianol-33 (a new extender),by one step reaction and casting method. The properties of these polyurethane were studied by employing Instron infrared spectroscopy,DSC and wide angle X-ray diffraction etc.

Factors influencing polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin and polychlorinated dibenzofuran (pCDD/F) emissions and control in major industrial sectors: Case evidence from Shandong province, China

Analyzing determinants that influence polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin and polychlorinated dibenzofuran（pCDD/F） emissions is helpful for decision-makers to find effective and efficient ways to mitigate pCDD/F emissions. The pCDD/F emissions and the contributions of the scale effect, structure effect and technology effect to emissions from eight main industrial sectors in2006, 2008 and 2010 in Shandong province, were calculated in this article. Total pCDD/F emissions in Shandong increased by 52.8% in 2008（614.1 g I-TEQ） and 49.7% in 2010（601.8 g I-TEQ） based on 2006（401.9 g I-TEQ）. According to the decomposition method, the largest influencing factor on pCDD/F emission changes was the composition effect（contributed 43.4%in 2008 and 120.6% in 2010 based on 2006）, which was also an emission-increasing *** this case, the present industrial restructuring policy should be adjusted to control the proportion of production capacities with high emission factors, such as iron ore sintering and steelmaking and the secondary non-ferrous metal sector. The scale effect increased the emissions in 2008（contributed 21.9%） and decreased the emissions in 2010（contributed-28.0%）. However, as a source control measure, the excess capacity control policy indeed had a significant role in emission reduction. The main reason for the technology effect（contributed 34.7% in 2008 and 7.4% in 2010 based on 2006） having an emission-increasing role was the weakness in implementing policies for restricting industries with outdated facilities. Some specific suggestions were proposed on pCDD/F reduction for local administrators at the end.

This paper reports that the experimental excitation functions of reaction （p,n） are measured for ^106pd and ^110pd at proton energy Ep = 6.1 - 7.5 MeV and Ep = 6.0 - 7.7 MeV respectively. The off-resonance excitation functions were compared with calculation values of the statistical model. A new formula used to estimate the peak cross section of isobaric analogue resonance was tested and it was found that calculation values agree reasonably well with the present data within experimental error, which confirms that the excitation strength of isobaric analogue state in （p,n） reaction not only depends on its spin, but also proportionally increases with the projectile proton spatial transmission Tp and the spectroscopic factor S for reaction （d,p） on the same target.

In this paper, a robust fractional order fuzzy p ＋ fuzzy I ＋ fuzzy D （FOFp ＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD） controller is presented for a nonlinear and uncertain 2-1ink planar rigid manipulator. It is a nonlinear fuzzy controller with variable gains that makes it self- adjustable or adaptive in nature. The fractional order operators further make it more robust by providing additional degrees of freedom to the design engineer. The integer order counterpart, fuzzy p ＋ fuzzy I ＋ fuzzy D （Fp ＋ FI ＋ FD） controller, for a comparative study, was realized by taking the integer value for the fractional order operators in FOFp ＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD controller. The performances of both the fuzzy controllers are evaluated for reference trajectory tracking and disturbance rejection with and without model uncertainty and measurement noise. Genetic algorithm was used to optimize the parameters of controller under study for minimum integral of absolute error. Simulation results demonstrated that FOFp ＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD controller show much better performance as compared to its counterpart Fp ＋ FI ＋ FD controller in servo as well as the regulatory problem and in model uncertainty and noisy environment FOFp ＋ FOFI ＋ FOFD controller demonstrated more robust behavior as compared to the Fp ＋ FI ＋ FD controller. For the developed controller bounded-input and bounded-output stability conditions are also developed using Small Gain Theorem.
