The advancement of integrated optical communication networks necessitates the deployment of on-chip beam splitters for efficient signal interconnections at network nodes. However, the pursuit of micron-scale beam splitting with large corners and reducing the device footprint to boost connection flexibility often results in phase mismatches. These mismatches, which stem from radiation modes and backward scattering, pose significant obstacles in creating highly integrated and interference-resistant connections. To address this, we introduce a solution based on the topological valley-contrasting state generated by photonic crystals with opposing valley Chern numbers, manifested in a harpoon-shaped structure designed to steer the splitting *** approach enables adiabatic mode field evolution over large corners, capitalizing on the robust phase modulation capabilities and topological protection provided by the subwavelength-scale valley-contrasting state. Our demonstration reveals that beam splitters with large corners of 60°, 90°, and 120° exhibit insertion loss fluctuations below 2.7 dB while maintaining a minimal footprint of 8.8 μm × 8.8 μm. As a practical demonstration, these devices facilitate three-channel signal connections, successfully transmitting quadrature phase shift keying signals at 3.66 Tbit/s with bit error rates below the forward error correction threshold, demonstrating performance comparable to that in defects scenarios. By harnessing the unidirectional excitation feature, we anticipate significant enhancements in the capabilities of signal distribution and connection networks through a daisy chain configuration.

Tributyltin(TBT),a common organotin environmental pollutant,may pose a threat to human development during critical early-life *** aimed to assess the neurodevelopmental intergenerational toxicity of early-life exposure to TBT and the protective effect of DNA methyl donor folic acid(FA).Specifically,after early-life exposure(1–21 days postfertilization,dpf)to TBT(0,1,10 and 100 ng/L),zebrafish(Danio rerio)were cultured in clean medium until sexual *** exposed females were mated with unexposed males to produce embryos(F1).The F1 generation were cultured(4–120 hours post-fertilization,hpf)with and without 1 mmol/L *** neurotoxic effects of early-life TBT exposure for zebrafish and their offspring(F1)were significantly enhanced anxiety and reduced aggression,decreased gene expression of DNA methyltransferase in the brain and increased serotonin levels in the ***,the intergenerational neurodevelopmental toxicity,as manifested in the F1 generation,was attenuated by FA *** summary,early-life TBT exposure led to intergenerational neurodevelopmental deficits in zebrafish,and DNA methyl donors had a protective effect on F1 neurodevelopment,which can inform the prevention and treatment of intergenerational neurotoxicity due to organotin pollutants.

As a kind of large-scale physical energy storage,compressed air energy storage(CAES)plays an important role in the construction of more efficient energy system based on renewable energy in the *** with traditional industrial compressors,the compressor of CAES has higher off-design performance *** the perspective of design,it needs to pay attention not only to the performance of the design point,but also to the performance of all the stable working ***,from the previous literature,no diagonal compressor was used in CAES which can meet the requirements,which also reflects the design program can be further ***,this paper studies the design strategy of high efficient diagonal compressor for large-scale CAES,and gives the complete strategy algorithms used for different program *** pressure ratio,isentropic efficiency and stable working range are comprehensively *** the design process,the criteria for the key parameters of the diagonal flow angle of the diagonal compressor are given for the first *** results show that the isentropic efficiency at the design point is 92.7%,the total pressure ratio is1.97,and the stable working range exceeds 20%,which meets the design requirements of the compressor for CAES and exceeds the overall performance of the previous compressors in the entire working range.

Cryogenic valves play a crucial role in the production and transportation of liquefied natural gas(LNG),and are primarily responsible for efficiently controlling the inflow and outflow of LNG and regulating ***,due to their operation in low-temperature and high-humidity environments,crucial components such as drip trays are susceptible to frosting,which may lead to LNG leakage,thereby causing severe safety *** this study,the user-defined function(UDF)is employed to redevelop Fluent,which integrates the frost growth model with the Eulerian multiphase flow model,to conduct a quantitative analysis of frosting on drip trays of cryogenic *** effects of environmental parameters,such as wind speed,ambient temperature,air humidity,and cold surface temperature on the growth of the frost layer were *** study reveals a limiting wind speed between 1 m/s and 2 m/*** reaching this limit speed,the growth of the frost layer reaches its maximum,and further increases in the wind speed have no significant effect on the growth of the frost ***,the influence of the change in the flow field on droplet impingement and freezing during the growth of the frost layer is considered through the coupling method of the kinematic characteristics of water droplets and the collection coefficient of water *** study identifies the influence of different parameters on the droplet impact efficiency,leading to the modification of the frost layer on the drip tray.

Perovskite oxides has been attracted much attention as high-performance oxygen carriers for chemical looping reforming of methane,but they are easily inactivated by the presence of trace H_(2)***,we propose to modulate both the activity and resistance to sulfur poisoning by dual substitution of Mo and Ni ions with the Fe-sites of LaFeO_(3)*** is found that partial substitution of Ni for Fe substantially improves the activity of LaFeO_(3)perovskite,while Ni particles prefer to grow and react with H_(2)S during the long-term successive redox process,resulting in the deactivation of oxygen *** the presence of Mo in LaNi_(0.05)Fe_(0.95)O_(3−σ)perovskite,H_(2)S preferentially reacts with Mo to generate MoS_(2),and then the CO_(2)oxidation can regenerate Mo via removing *** addition,Mo can inhibit the accumulation and growth of Ni,which helps to improve the redox stability of oxygen *** LaNi_(0.05)Mo_(0.07)Fe_(0.88)O_(3−σ)oxygen carrier exhibits stable and excellent performance,with the CH_(4)conversion higher than 90%during the 50 redox cycles in the presence of 50 ppm H_(2)S at 800℃.This work highlights a synergistic effect in the perovskite oxides induced by dual substitution of different cations for the development of high-performance oxygen carriers with excellent sulfur tolerance.
