Magnesium-containing pellet regulating blast furnace ferrous burden interaction:softening-melting behavior and mechanism

MgO participates in all stages of sintering,pelletizing,and blast furnace ironmaking,and synergistically optimizing the distribution of MgO in ferrous burden can effectively enhance the interaction within the ferrous burdens and optimize the softening-melting properties of the mixed ***-containing pellets mixed with low-MgO sinter or mixed with high-MgO sinter in the blast furnace ferrous burden structure have opposite softening-melting performance *** the structure of the ferrous burden is magnesium-containing pellets mixed with low-MgO sinter,the magnesium-containing pellets can enhance the interaction of the ferrous burden in the process of softening-melting,which can optimize the composition of the slag phase and improve the slag *** the structure of the ferrous burden is magnesium-containing pellets mixed with high-MgO sinter,the magnesium-containing pellets weaken the interaction of the ferrous burden in the process of softening-melting,increase the content of the high melting point solid-phase particles in the slag,lead to an increase in the viscosity of the slag and difficult separation of the slag and iron,and decrease the permeability of the charge ***,to ensure good permeability of the mixed burden,the following measures are suggested:optimizing the MgO distribution of the ferrous burden,reducing the MgO content of the sinter to 1.96 wt.%,increasing the MgO content of the pellets to 1.03-1.30 wt.%,controlling the MgO/Al_(2)O_(3) ratio of the mixed burden within 1.15-1.32,narrowing the position of the cohesive zone,and maintaining an S value(permeability index)of approximately 150 kPa℃.

A model for predicting the segregation directions of binary Geldart B particle mixtures in bubbling fluidized beds

In gas fluidization processes involving different types of particles,the mixing or segregation behavior of the solid mixture is crucial to the overall outcome of the *** study develops a model to predict the segregation directions of binary mixtures of Geldart B particles with density and size differences in bubbling fluidized *** proposed model was established by combining the particle segregation model,a previous particle segregation model,with a derived bed voidage equation of the bubbling fluidization based on the two-phase *** model was then analyzed with different function graphs of the model equations under various *** results indicated that an increase in gas velocity or volume fraction of larger particles would strengthen size segregation,causing the larger and less dense components to *** validate the model,42 sets of data collected from 6 independent literature sources were compared with the predictions of the *** the gas velocities were below 3.2 times the minimum gas velocity,the predictions were consistent with experimental *** study has shed new light on the mechanisms of particle segregation in binary fluidized systems and provides a theoretical foundation for designing and manipulating gas-solid fluidized reactors.

Roles of nanoparticles in arsenic mobility and microbial community composition in arsenic-enriched soils

Environmental effects of nano remediation engineering of arsenic(As)pollution need to be *** this study,the roles of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)nanoparticles(NPs)on the microbial mediated As mobilization from As contaminated soil were *** addition of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs restrained As(V)release,and stimulated As(Ⅲ)***(V)concentration decreased by 94% and 93% after Fe_(2)O_(3)addition,and decreased by 89% and 45% after Ti O_(2)addition compared to the Biotic and Biotic+Acetate(amended with sodium acetate)controls,*** maximum values of As(Ⅲ)were 20.5 and 27.1μg/L at 48 d after Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs addition,respectively,and were higher than that in Biotic+Acetate control(12.9μg/L).The released As co-precipitated with Fe in soils in the presence of Fe_(2)O_(3)NPs,but adsorbed on TiO_(2)NPs in the presence of TiO_(2)***,the addition of NPs amended with sodium acetate as the electron donor clearly promoted As(V)reduction induced by *** NPs addition changed the relative abundance of soil bacterial community,while Proteobacteria(42.8%-70.4%),Planctomycetes(2.6%-14.3%),and Firmicutes(3.5%-25.4%)were the dominant microorganisms in *** potential As/Fe reducing bacteria were related to Pseudomonas,Geobacter,Desulfuromonas,and *** addition of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs induced to the decrease of arr A *** results indicated that the addition of NPs had a negative impact on soil microbial population in a long *** findings offer a relatively comprehensive assessment of Fe_(2)O_(3)and TiO_(2)NPs effects on As mobilization and soil bacterial communities.

Data-driven Wasserstein distributionally robust chance-constrained optimization for crude oil scheduling under uncertainty

Crude oil scheduling optimization is an effective method to enhance the economic benefits of oil *** uncertainties,including uncertain demands of crude distillation units(CDUs),might make the production plans made by the traditional deterministic optimization models infeasible.A data-driven Wasserstein distributionally robust chance-constrained(WDRCC)optimization approach is proposed in this paper to deal with demand uncertainty in crude oil ***,a new deterministic crude oil scheduling optimization model is developed as the basis of this *** Wasserstein distance is then used to build ambiguity sets from historical data to describe the possible realizations of probability distributions of uncertain demands.A cross-validation method is advanced to choose suitable radii for these ambiguity *** deterministic model is reformulated as a WDRCC optimization model for crude oil scheduling to guarantee the demand constraints hold with a desired high probability even in the worst situation in ambiguity *** proposed WDRCC model is transferred into an equivalent conditional value-at-risk representation and further derived as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming *** case studies from a real-world refinery are conducted to show the effectiveness of the proposed ***-of-sample tests demonstrate that the solution of the WDRCC model is more robust than those of the deterministic model and the chance-constrained model.

InSAR-derived surface deformation characteristics and mining subsidence parameters in mountain coal mines

Mining-induced surface deformation disrupts ecological balance and impedes economic *** study employs SBAS-InSAR with 107-view of ascending and descending SAR data from Sentinel-1,spanning February 2017 to September 2020,to monitor surface deformation in the Fa’er Coal Mine,Guizhou *** on the surface deformation time series reveals the relationship between underground mining and surface *** geological conditions,mining activities,duration,and ranges,the study determines surface movement parameters for the coal *** asserts that mining depth significantly influences surface movement parameters in mountainous mining *** mining depth elevates the strike movement angle on the deeper side of the burial depth by 22.84°,while decreasing by 7.74°on the shallower *** movement angles decrease by 4.06°,while downhill movement angles increase by 15.71°.This emphasizes the technology's suitability for local mining design,which lays the groundwork for resource development,disaster prevention,and ecological protection in analogous contexts.

The presence of excessive reactive oxygen species(Ros)at a skin wound site is an important factor affecting wound *** scavenging,which regulates the ROS microenvironment,is essential for wound *** this study,we used novel electrospun PCL/gelatin/arbutin(PCL/G/A)nanofibrous membranes as wound dressings,with PCL/gelatin(PCL/G)as the backbone,and plantderived arbutin(hydroquinone-β-D-glucopyranoside,ARB)as an effective antioxidant that scavenges ROos and inhibits bacterial infection in *** loading of ARB increased the mechanical strength of the nanofibres,with a water vapour transmission rate of more than 2500g/(m^(2)×24h),and the water contact angle decreased,indicating that hydrophilicity and air permeability were significantly *** release and degradation experiments showed that the nanofibre membrane controlled the drug release and exhibited favourable *** experiments showed that the PCL/G/A nanofibre membranes were biocompatible,and DPPH and ABTS+radical scavenging experiments indicated that PCL/G/A could effectively scavenge ROS to reflect the antioxidant *** addition,haemostasis experiments showed that PCL/G/A had good haemostatic effects in vitro and in *** vivo animal wound closure and histological staining experiments demonstrated that PCL/G/A increased collagen deposition and remodelled epithelial tissue regeneration while showing good in vivo biocompatibility and *** conclusion,we successfully prepared a multifunctional wound dressing,PCL/G/A,for skin wound healing and investigated its potential role in wound healing,which is beneficial for the clinical translational application of phytomedicines.

A multifunctional shear apparatus for rocks subjected to true triaxial stress and high temperature in real-time

Deep engineering disasters,such as rockbursts and collapses,are more related to the shear slip of rock joints.A novel multifunctional device was developed to study the shear failure mechanism in *** this device,the complete shearedeformation process and long-term shear creep tests could be performed on rocks under constant normal stiffness(CNS)or constant normal loading(CNL)conditions in real-time at high temperature and true-triaxial *** the research and development process,five key technologies were successfully broken through:(1)the ability to perform true-triaxial compressioneshear loading tests on rock samples with high stiffness;(2)a shear box with ultra-low friction throughout the entire stress space of the rock sample during loading;(3)a control system capable of maintaining high stress for a long time and responding rapidly to the brittle fracture of a rock sample as well;(4)a refined ability to measure the volumetric deformation of rock samples subjected to true triaxial shearing;and(5)a heating system capable of maintaining uniform heating of the rock sample over a long *** developing these technologies,loading under high true triaxial stress conditions was *** apparatus has a maximum normal stiffness of 1000 GPa/m and a maximum operating temperature of 300*** differences in the surface temperature of the sample are constant to within5*** types of true triaxial shear tests were conducted on homogeneous sandstone to verify that the apparatus has good performance and *** results show that temperature,lateral stress,normal stress and time influence the shear deformation,failure mode and strength of the *** novel apparatus can be reliably used to conduct true-triaxial shear tests on rocks subjected to high temperatures and stress.

Strain-enhanced polarization sensitivity inβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)photodetector

Polarization-sensitive photodetection and imaging have great application value in fields such as polarization division multiplexing optical communication,remote sensing,near-field imaging and military *** a high polarization ratio has always been the research hotspot in polarization-sensitive *** this paper,we report a compression strain enhanced polarization ratio inβ-gallium oxide(β-Ga_(2)O_(3))single crystal flake.A rigorous crystallographic analysis confirmed its high crystalline quality and ***-resolved polarization Raman spectroscopy(ARPRS)was adopted to study the anisotropy of its optical *** ARPRS measurements and theoretical calculation consistently demonstrate the strong optical anisotropy in the high-qualityβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)flake.A polarization ratio of 0.96 was obtained in the flatβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)***,mechanical strain of±0.7%was introduced intoβ-Ga_(2)O_(3).An increased polarization ratio of 0.98 was achieved in the case of 0.7%compression strain,which is,to the best of our knowledge,the highest value for UVC polarization-sensitive *** corresponds to an improved polarization rejection ratio of *** work proposed a new path towards improving polarization sensitivity by applying strain engineering in the active material.
