Solution-phase self-assembly of two-dimensional(2D)networks with a high degree of internal order and long-range periodicity is a great challenge.Herein,we report a rational design to improve 2D self-assembly in water through amphiphilic modification of the building block.An amphiphilic tritopic molecule(1)is designed and synthesized by introducing three hydrophilic oligo(ethylene glycol)moieties and three hydrophobic hexyl chains.The assembly of 1 and cucurbit[8]uril(CB[8])leads to the formation of a Janus 2D supramolecular organic framework(SOF),which further creates unique bilayer supramolecular networks and exhibits an unprecedentedly high degree of internal order and long-range periodicity.In contrast,the assembly of a nonamphiphilic analog(2)with CB[8]only generates a 2D SOF with a lower degree of internal order,suggesting that the inherent amphiphilicity of 1 plays a crucial role in improving its 2D self-assembly in aqueous phase.

Helical polymers have attracted a great deal of attention and been extensively investigated due to their various applications.One of the most importa nt applicati ons of helical polymers is chiral recog nition and resolutio n ofe nan tiomersforthe reas on that a pair of e nan tiomers is comm only with differe nt physiological and toxicological behaviors in biological systems.Helical polymers usually prese nt un expected high chiral recogniti on ability to a variety of racemic compo unds.Whatzs more,the chiral recog nition and resolution abilities of the system are depe ndent on the highly ordered helical structures of the helical polymers.This mini review mainly focuses on the recent progress in chiral recognition and resolution based on helical polymers.The synthetic methodology for helical polymers is firstly discussed briefly.Then recent advances of chiral recog nition and resoluti on systems based on helical polymers,especially polyacetylenes and polyisocya nides,are described.We hope this mini review will in spire more in terest in developing helical polymers and en courage further advances in chiral-related disciplines.

We report on the preparation of a well-defined star-shaped tricationic ionic liquid possessing three arms of poly（ethylene glycol） functionalized imidazolium rings. Remarkable solubility was found in most of the organic solvents we used. Thermogravimetric analysis（TGA） exhibited excellent thermal stability and two distinct decomposition temperatures were attributed to two kinds of chemical degradation. Differential scanning calorimetry（DSC） was further employed to investigate the thermal phase transitions, that three different signals（Tg, Tc, and Tm） were shown upon the second heating process. Moreover, CH2Cl2 solution of the ionic liquid expressed an excitation-wavelength dependent fluorescence response, leading to the facile modulation of photoluminescence behavior. This work represents an example of utilizing molecular design to construct novel ionic liquids and endow further potential to be used in the engineering materials.

Ring-opening metathesis polymerization(ROMP)of norbornene by binuclear vanadium alkylidene in-situ formed from dialkyl complexes was investigated.Higher activities were observed by the binuclear system than mononuclear analogues.Especially the cyclic polymers were obtained and demonstrated.It is proposed that cyclic binuclear vanadium alkylidene was afforded due to the intramolecular chain-transfer reaction.The size of polymer ring could be adjusted by the vanadium catalyst structure and polymerization temperature.Similar results were also observed in the ROMP of cyclopentene.

Optically Active Helical Polyisocyanides Bearing Chiral Phosphine Pendants: Facile Synthesis and Application in Enantioselective Rauhut-Currier Reaction

Three novel enantiopure phenyl isocyanide monomers with BH3-protected phosphine functional group were designed and synthesized. Polymerization of these monomers using a alkyne-Pd（II） complex as a catalyst led to the formation of respective helical polyisocyanides in high yields with controlled molecular weights（Mns） and narrow molecular weight distributions（Mw/Mns）. Removing the protecting BH3 groups afforded helical poly（phenyl isocyanide）s bearing phosphine pendants. Thanks to the chiral induction of monomer, the isolated helical polyisocyanides showed high optical activity, as revealed by circular dichroism（CD） and absorption spectroscopies and polarimetry. The helical structures of these polymers were quite stable in various organic solvents with different polarities and in a wide temperature range. Moreover, these helical polymers could be used as organocatalysts and showed good performance in enantioselective cross Rauhut-Currier reaction. The enantiomeric excess（ee） values of the isolated products of cross Rauhut-Currier reaction could be up to 90%. The polymer organocatalysts could be easily recovered from the reaction mixtures and reused at least five times in the reaction without significant loss of their enantioselectivities and catalytic activities.

A heteropore covalent organic framework(COF) integrating tetraphenylethene skeleton and catechol segment is designed and synthesized.It exhibits extremely high stability in water under different pH conditions,which makes it an excellent material for adsorptive removal of Cd(Ⅱ) from aqueous solutions with very fast adsorption kinetics,high uptake capacity,and good recyclability.

A supramolecular bottlebrush polymer has been constructed in water through the self-assembly of a rigid electron-deficient building block and an electron-rich monomer which bears two tetraethylene glycol chains,driven by CB[8]-encapsulation-enhanced donor-acceptor interaction.The as-formed supramolecular bottlebrush polymer has been characterized by -1H NMR titration experiment,UV-vis spectroscopy,DLS and 2D -1H NMR DOSY.

Gravity assistance is a critical factor influencing CO_(2)-Oil mixing and miscible flow during EOR and CO_(2)geological storage.Based on the Navier-Stokes equation,component mass conservation equation,and fluid property-composition relationship,a mathematical model for pore-scale CO_(2) injection in oilsaturated porous media was developed in this study.The model can reflect the effects of gravity assistance,component diffusion,fluid density variation,and velocity change on EOR and CO_(2) storage.For nonhomogeneous porous media,the gravity influence and large density difference help to minimize the velocity difference between the main flow path and the surrounding area,thus improving the oil recovery and CO_(2) storage.Large CO_(2) injection angles and oil-CO_(2) density differences can increase the oil recovery by 22.6% and 4.2%,respectively,and increase CO_(2) storage by 37.9% and 4.7%,respectively.Component diffusion facilitates the transportation of the oil components from the low-velocity region to the main flow path,thereby reducing the oil/CO_(2) concentration difference within the porous media.Component diffusion can increase oil recovery and CO_(2) storage by 5.7% and 6.9%,respectively.In addition,combined with the component diffusion,a low CO_(2) injection rate creates a more uniform spatial distribution of the oil/CO_(2) component,resulting in increases of 9.5% oil recovery and 15.7% CO_(2) storage,respectively.This study provides theoretical support for improving the geological CO_(2) storage and EOR processes.

BACKGROUND Da Vinci Robotics-assisted total mesorectal excision(TME)surgery for rectal cancer is becoming more widely used.There is no strong evidence that roboticassisted surgery and laparoscopic surgery have similar outcomes in elderly patients with TME for rectal cancer.AIM To determine the improved oncological outcomes and short-term efficacy of robot-assisted surgery in elderly patients undergoing TME surgery.METHODS A retrospective study of the clinical pathology and follow-up of elderly patients who underwent TME surgery at the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at the Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine was conducted from March 2020 through September 2023.The patients were divided into a robotassisted group(the R-TME group)and a laparoscopic group(the L-TME group),and the short-term efficacy of the two groups was compared.RESULTS There were 45 elderly patients(≥60 years)in the R-TME group and 50 elderly patients(≥60 years)in the L-TME group.There were no differences in demographics,conversion rates,or postoperative complication rates.The L-TME group had a longer surgical time than the R-TME group[145(125,187.5)vs 180(148.75,206.25)min,P=0.005),and the first postoperative meal time in the L-TME group was longer than that in the R-TME(4 vs 3 d,P=0.048).Among the sex and body mass index(BMI)subgroups,the R-TME group had better out-comes than did the L-TME group in terms of operation time(P=0.042)and intraoperative assessment of bleeding(P=0.042).In the high BMI group,catheter removal occurred earlier in the R-TME group than in the L-TME group(3 vs 4 d,P=0.001),and autonomous voiding function was restored.CONCLUSION The curative effect and short-term efficacy of robot-assisted TME surgery for elderly patients with rectal cancer are similar to those of laparoscopic TME surgery;however,robotic-assisted surgery has better short-term outcomes for individuals with risk factors such as obesity and pelvic stenosis.Optimizing the learning curve can shorten the operation time,reduce the
