Objective:To assess the effect of memantine combined with liraglutide on aluminum chloride(AlCl_(3))and D-galactose(D-GAL)-induced neurotoxicity in ***:Male Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups of 5 animals each:the positive control,the negative control,the memantine-treated group,the liraglutide-treated group,and the combination group treated with memantine and ***_(3)and D-GAL were used to induce *** tests,brain beta-amyloid protein,and oxidative stress biomarkers were ***:The Morris water maze test indicated an enhanced memory in the combination ***,the combination treatment of liraglutide and memantine resulted in a remarkable reduction in the beta-amyloid protein level in the brain *** inflammation and oxidative stress biomarkers were significantly reduced,and the levels of antioxidant parameters were ***:The combination of liraglutide and memantine exerts neuroprotective effects and enhances memory and cognitive functions in rats with Alzheimer’s disease.

The design,manufacture and experiment of a shaft power unit for converting a microturbojet engine to a micro-turboprop in the class of less than 20 kW with the aim of obtaining maximum shaft power were described in this *** this purpose,a Wren 100 micro-turbojet engine was used as the gas generator,and the specifications of its outflow were *** optimal configuration of the inter-stage diffuser,which was an annular S-type diffuser,was selected based on its small total pressure drop and outlet flow *** power turbine was a single stage axial turbine that was designed based on the fixed nozzle angle assumption without any taper or twist in its *** turbine rotor was a bladed disk(Blisk)in which its unique blade profiles were designed based on the Wilson ***,the shaft power unit was completed by designing and manufacturing an exhaust complex and ***,the micro-turboprop engine was tested with an overloading *** results show a significant increase in the extracted power,an acceptable efficiency of the power turbine,and a significant reduction in the Specific Fuel Consumption(SFC)compared to other engines that use similar gas generators.

Field and remote sensing studies reveal that Au-bearing quartz carbonate lodes in Romite deposit, in the extreme South Eastern Desert of Egypt, are controlled by NNE-striking shear zones that splay from the ca. 660--550 Ma Hamisana Zone. Quartz in releasing bends with sinistral shear geometry and abundant boudinaged quartz-carbonate lodes with serrate ribboned fabrics suggest vein formation throughout a transpressive wrench system. Ubiquitous hydrothermal quartz, carbonate, and subordinate chlorite and sericite within the shear zones and as slivers in veins, indicate that gold deposition and hydro- thermal alteration occurred under greenschist facies conditions. The AI （IV） in chlorite indicates a forma- tion temperature of - 300 ℃, comparable with temperatures estimated from arsenopyrite composition for grains intimately associated with gold in quartz veins. The new geological and geochemical data indicate that splays off the Hamisana Zone are potential gold exploration targets. Quartz veins along the high order （2nd or 3rd） structures of this crustal-scale shear zone are favorable targets. In the Romite deposit and in surrounding areas, a Au-As-Cu-Sb-Co-Zn geochemical signature characterizes mineralized zones, and particularly rock chips with 〉 1000 ppm As and high contents of Cu, Zn, and Co target the better mineralized areas. The carbonate δ13CpDB and δ18OsMow isotope signatures preclude an organic source of the ore fluid, but metamorphic and magmatic sources are still valid candidates. The intense deformation and lack of mag- matism in the deposit area argue for metamorphic dewatering of greenstone rocks as the most likely fluid source. The narrow ranges of δ13C （-4.6‰ to -3.1‰） and 6180 （11.9‰- 13.7‰） in carbonate minerals in lodes imply a corresponding uniformity to the ambient temperature and δ13CCO2 （δ13C∑C） of the ore *** calculated δ18OH2O values of 6‰-7.9‰for ore fluids, based on 6180 values of vein quartz further suggest a likely metamorphic o

The fluid model,also called the macroscopic model,is commonly used to simulate low temperature and low pressure radiofrequency plasma *** varying the parameters of the model,numerical simulation allows us to study several cases,providing us the physico-chemical information that is often difficult to obtain *** this work,using the fluid model,we employ numerical simulation to show the effect of pressure and space between the reactor electrodes on the fundamental properties of silicon plasma diluted with ammonia and *** results show the evolution of the fundamental characteristics of the plasma discharge as a function of the variation of the pressure and the distance between the *** examining the pressure-distance product in a range between 0.3 Torr 2.7 cm and 0.7 Torr 4 cm,we have determined the optimal pressure-distance product that allows better deposition of hydrogenated silicon nitride(SiN_(x)H_(y))films which is 0.7 Torr 2.7 cm.

Each year,accidents involving ships result in significant loss of life,environmental pollution and economic *** promotion of navigation safety through risk reduction requires methods to assess the spatial distribution of the relative likelihood of ***,such methods necessitate the integration of large volumes of heterogenous datasets which are not well suited to traditional data *** paper proposes the use of the Discrete Global Grid System(DGGS)as an efficient and advantageous structure to integrate vessel traffic,metocean,bathymetric,infrastructure and other relevant maritime datasets to predict the occurrence of ship *** and heterogenous datasets are well suited for machine learning algorithms and this paper develops a spatial maritime risk model based on a DGGS utilising such an approach.A Random Forest algorithm is developed to predict the frequency and spatial distribution of groundings while achieving an R2 of 0.55 and a mean squared error of *** resulting risk maps are useful for decision-makers in planning the allocation of mitigation measures,targeted to regions with the highest *** work is identified to expand the applications and insights which could be achieved through establishing a DGGS as a global maritime spatial data structure.

Induction of antitumor immunity by vaccination is one of the major current immunother- apy strategies. We present a mathematical model of the competition between immune cells and mammary carcinogenesis under the effect of Triplex vaccine. The model describes both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses against cancer cells. The control of the cancer cells growth occurs through the application of the pulse vaccination. Here we determine the relationship between the strength of the vaccine and the time required to eradicate cancer cells, and we present some simulations to illustrate our theoretical results, namely, the total cancer cells depletion, which is influenced by competition occurs among the immune and cancer cells.

The Um Rus tonalite-granodiorite intrusion(~6 km2)occurs at the eastern end of the Neoproterozoic,ENE-trending Wadi Muba rak shear belt in the Central Eastern Desert of ***-bearing quartz veins hosted by the Um Rus intrusion were mined intermittently,and initially by the ancient Egyptians and until the early 1900 *** relationship between the gold mineralization,host intrusion,and regional structures has always been *** present new geochemical and geochronological data that help to define the tectonic environment and age of the Um Rus *** addition,field studies are integrated with EPMA and LA-ICP-MS data for gold-associated sulfides to better understand the formation and distribution of gold *** bulk-rock geochemical data of fresh host rocks indicate a calc-alkaline,metaluminous to mildly peraluminous,I-type granite *** trace element composition reflects a tectonic setting intermediate between subduction-related and within-plate environments,presumably transitional between syn-and post-collisional *** crystallization age of the Um Rus intrusion was determined by in situ SHRIMP 206 Pb/238 U and 207Pb/235U measurements on accessory monazite *** resultant monazite U-Pb weighted mean age(643±9 Ma;MSWD 1.8)roughly overlaps existing geochronological data for similar granitic intrusions that are confined to major shear systems and are locally associated with gold mineralization in the Central Eastrn Desert(e.g.,Fawakhir and Hangaliya).This age is also consistent with magmatism recognized as concomitant to transpressional tectonics(D2:~650 Ma)during the evolution of the Wadi Mubark *** of the gold-bearing quartz veins in NNE-SSW and N-S striking fault segments was likely linked to the change from transpressional to transtensional tectonics and terrane exhumation(D3:620-580 Ma).The development of N-S throughgoing fault arrays and dike swarms(~595 Ma)led to heterogeneous deformation and recrystallizat

This article investigates the interest of using in-situ piezoelectric(PZT and PVDF)disks to perform real-time Structural Health Monitoring(SHM)of glass fiber-reinforced polymer composites submitted to var-ious tensile *** goal is to evaluate the working range and SHM potential of such embedded transducers for relatively simple mechanical loadings,with the long-term aim of using them to monitor complete 3D structures submitted to more complex *** is performed acquiring the electrical capacitance variation of the embedded *** study the potential links between the insitu capacitance signal and the global response of the loaded host specimens,a multi-instrumentation composed of external Nondestructive Testing techniques was implemented on the surfaces of the specimens to search for multi-physical couplings between these external measurements and the capacitance *** confirmed the non-intrusiveness of the embedded transducers,and allowed estimating their working *** capacitance signal follows well the mechanical loadings,but the piezoceramic transducer gets damaged after a determined relatively low strain level due to its *** limits of this working domain are extended by using a stretchable PolyVinylidene Fluoride(PVDF)polymer transducer,allowing this one to perform in-situ and real-time SHM of its host tensile specimens until failure.

Understanding the nature of parental melts for pyroxenite veins in supra-subduction zone(SSZ)ophiolites provides vibrant constraints on melt infiltration processes operating in subduction *** Zedang ophiolitic massif in the eastern Yarlung–Zangbo suture zone in Tibet consists of mantle peridotites and a crustal section of gabbro,diabase,and *** of two pyroxenite varieties cut the southern part of the Zedang *** pyroxenite rocks have different geochemical characteristics,where the first variety(type-I)has relatively higher contents of SiO_(2)(51.82–53.08 wt%),MgO(20.08–23.23 wt%),andΣPGE(3.42–13.97 ppb),and lower Al_(2)O_(3)(1.59–2.28 wt%)andΣREE(1.63–2.94 ppm).The second pyroxenite variety(type-II)is characterized by SiO_(2)(45.44–49.61 wt%),Mg O(16.68–19.78 wt%),Al_(2)O_(3)(4.24–8.77 wt%),ΣPGE(14.46–322.06 ppb),andΣREE(5.82–7.44 ppm).Pyroxenite type-I shows N-MORB-like chondritenormalized REE *** U-Pb ages of pyroxenite type-I(194±10 Ma),associated ophiolitic gabbro(135.3±2.0 Ma),and plagiogranite(124.2±2.3 Ma)evidently imply episodic evolution of the Zedang *** mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of the investigated pyroxenites can be explained by subduction-initiated hydrous melting of metasomatized sub-arc mantle,later overprinted by sub-slab mantle melting triggered by upwelling asthenosphere during the Jurassic–Early Cretaceous *** geochemical variations in pyroxenite vein composition,coupled with age differences amongst the other ophiolite units,may correspond to intermittent emplacement of pyroxenite dikes and isotropic gabbroic intrusions where the geodynamic setting progressed from arc maturation and slab rollback to slab tearing and delamination.
