Vegetation ecosystem simulation and visualisation are challenging topics involving multidisciplinary aspects. In this paper, we present a new generic frame for the simulation of natural phenomena through manageable and interacting models. It focuses on the functional growth of large vegetal ecosystems, showing coherence for scales ranging from the individual plant to communities and with a particular attention to the effects of water resource competition between plants. The proposed approach is based on a model of plant growth in interaction with the environmental conditions. These are deduced from the climatic data （light, temperature, rainfall） and a model of soil hydrological budget. A set of layers is used to store the water resources and to build the interfaces between the environmental data and landscape components： temperature, rain, light, altitude, lakes, plant positions, biomass, cycles, etc. At the plant level, the simulation is performed for each individual by a structural-functional growth model, interacting with the plant＇s environment. Temperature is spatialised, changing according to altitude, and thus locally controls plant growth speed. The competition for water is based on a soil hydrological model taking into account rainfalls, water runoff, absorption, diffusion, percolation in soil. So far, the incoming light radiation is not studied in detail and is supposed constant. However, competition for light between plants is directly taken into account in the plant growth model. In our implementation, we propose a simple architecture for such a simulator and a simulation scheme to synchronise the water resource updating （on a temporal basis） and the plant growth cycles （determined by the sum of daily temperatures）. The visualisation techniques are based on sets of layers, allowing both morphological and functional landscape views and providing interesting tools for ecosystem management. The use of oscillating flexible fins in propulsion has been the subject of several studies in recent years, but attention israrely paid to the specific role of stiffness profile in thrust *** profile is defined as the variation in localchordwise bending stiffness (EI) of a fin, from leading to trailing *** this study, flexible fins with a standard NACA0012shape were tested alongside fins with a stiffness profile mimicking that of a Pumpkinseed Sunfish (Lepomis gibbosus).The finswere oscillated with a pitching sinusoidal motion over a range of frequencies and amplitudes, while torque, lateral force andstatic thrust were *** the range of oscillation parameters tested, it was shown that the fin with a biomimetic stiffness profile offered a significantimprovement in static thrust, compared to a fin of similar dimensions with a standard NACA0012 aerofoil *** fin also produced thrust more consistently over each oscillation cycle.A comparison of fin materials of different stiffness showed that the improvement was due to the stiffness profile itself, andwas not simply an effect of altering the overall stiffness of the *** of the same stiffness profile were observed to follow thesame thrust-power curve, independent of the stiffness of the moulding *** fins were shown to produce up to26% greater thrust per watt of input power, within the experimental range.

The first case of Prinzmetal angina was described in 1959 by Prinzmetal, et al. Since this description, several triggering factors have been associated with vasospastic angina （VA） and included： illicit drugs such as cocaine, amphetamine or marijuana, but also bitter-orange, alcohol, butane, chemotherapy drugs, over-the-counter medication and different antibiotics. Smoking is also a major risk factor for developing VA.t21 Thus, except for smoking, many of conventional atherosclerosis risk factors do not appear to be applicable to VA.t21 However, vasospastic angina can also occur without any triggering factor.

A growing world population and possible liquid fuel energy shortages are likely to result in worldwide agricultural intensification, and the possible expansion of non-sustainable practices. The adoption of non-sustainable practices could result in the loss of currently productive land, with potential impacts on human welfare and economic viability. One of the easiest techniques to maintain productivity is to maintain surface soil organic matter. However, developing reliable, cost effective and accurate methods for quantifying and monitoring crop residue cover (a major source of soil organic matter) that remains on top of the soil over large spatial extents constitutes a significant challenge. This article reviews potential remote sensing approaches for estimating surface residue cover with a view to mapping tillage practice.

The aim of this study was to investigate the stability of Carbocysteine (CBC) contained in a reference substance (RS) and in a sample of opened RHINATHIOL® 5% syrup (RNTL 5%) under the effect of some physicochemical parameters (temperature, light, time, pH, bile salts). The developed method was linear, precise and accurate according to USP 38. The co-efficient of determination R2 for linearity was 0.9993. The respective RSD of intra-day and inter-day between days (1st, 2nd and 3rd day) were respectively 0.338% and the interval from 0.05% to 0.387%. The average recovery rate ranged from 98.490% to 100.450%. The detection and quantification limits were 0.0001 mg/mL and 0.001 mg/mL respectively. The method was applied to four samples of opened syrup containing CBC and the CBC content in these samples was found to be in accordance with USP 38. The CBC content in the opened sample of RNTL 5% was obtained by UV-visible spectrophotometry at 217 nm and was 4.887 g/100mL. The study of the influence of physico-chemical factors on the content of CBC in RS and RNTL 5% showed that the evolution of CBC contents in each drug matrix remained dependent on pH and temperature. However, these levels remained stable in the presence of light.

Prognostic Factors Associated with Mortality Related to Stroke in Bangui (Central African Republic)

Stroke is a very common neurological condition that causes permanent disability in half of the cases, at least in sub-Saharan Africa. They represent the second most common cause of death in Africa. Objective of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of the intake period of patients suffering from these conditions on the survival time of one month of hospitalization in hospitals in Bangui. We conducted a prospective study cross prognostic kind in the neurology departments, internal medicine and intensive care units of two large central hospitals from February to August 2017. Subject recruitment was complete with a made questionnaire based on the modified one of the World Health Organization on neurological disorders. A total of 154 patients were included, with a mean age of 63.15 years ± 10.98 and extremes ranging from 38 to 91 years. A male predominance was noted (60%) with a sex ratio (M/F) of 1.5. For 76 subjects (49.35%), care was taken with a hospital admission period of less than or equal to one day, while for 78 other 78 (50.65%) the admission period was higher to one day. Average admission time patients caught early was 1.00 day and the upper limit intake to one day was 4.59 ± 2.33 days with a statistically significant difference (p delay for patients treated late was 4 days. Pre-hospital and hospital determinants by admission delay are presented in Table 1. The survival time was better in the group of patients who were treated early (p = 0.0039). This study shows the negative impact of late management on the survival time of patients.

粮食是人们生活中的必需品。近年来,世界范围内的粮食需求更加彰显了农业部门的重要性。随着农业领域技术的发展,在温室内维持适宜作物生长的气候条件成为可能,大棚作物的产量得以提高。鉴于此,在温室农业中引入和应用物联网技术可以解决许多问题,同时可以提高作物产量。本文聚焦于物联网(Internet of Things,IoT)系统在温室环境参数实时采集中的应用,提出了基于模糊自校正机制的智能控制方法,以此来调节温室的环境参数。本文的主要研究工作如下:(1)在认识了可用于温室监测系统的各种物联网技术的基础上提出一种模型,该模型基于ESP8266的Node MCU(Node Micro-Controller Unit)将DHT11(Digital Humidity And Temperature)传感器采集到的空气温度和湿度数据发送到云端。首先使用HTTP(Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol)协议将数据发送到Thing Speak云平台,然后使用MQTT(Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)协议将其发送到***。该过程在提出的工作模型中得以完全实现,能够在温室和农户之间进行数据采集和通信。最后进行了MQTT功能测试,测试结果表明消息被成功发布。(2)温室系统是一个具有多个非线性参数的复杂环境,参数变化会影响作物长势。针对这一现象,本文提出了一个基于热力学第一定律和第二定律的动态模型,其中包含了影响温室环境变化的不同参数。所提出的动态模型既代表了温室环境系统,同时也有助于分析和设计高效的温室控制系统。最后,利用MATLABSIMULINK对所建立的大棚温度和湿度的数学模型进行了验证。(3)针对扰动变化过大导致误差变化较大时控制效果变差的问题,提出了一种新的模糊控制器设计方法,设计了一种基于模糊逻辑的智能控制器。该控制器具有自校正特性,它基于自校正的模糊控制方案,通过调节比例因子来减小静态误差,进而提高系统的控制性能。接着,深入讨论了STFLC(自校正模糊逻辑控制系统),并依据实验配置要求对控制器进行了实时仿真,结果表明该控制器结构对动态非线性系统具有良好的控制效果。

determining the prognosis of cirrhotic patients is not an easy task. Prognostic scores, like Child-Pugh and Model of End-stage Liver Disease scores, are commonly used by hepatologists, but do not always reflect superimposed events that may strongly influence the prognosis. Among them, bacterial intestinal translocation is a key phenomenon for the development of cirrhosis-related complications. Several biological variables(C-reactive protein, serum free cortisol, copeptin, von Willebrand factor antigen) are surrogates of "inflammatory stress" and have recently been identified as potential prognostic markers in cirrhotic patients. Most of these above mentioned markers were investigated in pilot studies with sometimes a modest sample size but allow us to catch a glimpse of the pathophysiological mechanisms leading to the worsening of cirrhosis. These new data should generate further well-designed studies to better assess the benefit for liver function of preventing intestinal bacterial translocation and microvascular thrombosis. The control of infection is vital and among all actors of immunity, vitamin D also appears to act as an anti-infective agent and therefore has probably a prognostic value.

To establish consensual definitions of anoperineal lesions of Crohn’s (APLOC) disease and assess interobserver agreement on their diagnosis between experts. METHODSA database of digitally recorded pictures of APLOC was examined by a coordinating group who selected two series of 20 pictures illustrating the various aspects of APLOC. A reading group comprised: eight experts from the Société Nationale Française de Colo Proctologie group of study and research in proctology and one academic dermatologist. All members of the coordinating and reading groups participated in dedicated meetings. The coordinating group initially conducted a literature review to analyse verbatim descriptions used to evaluate APLOC. The study included two phases: establishment of consensual definitions using a formal consensus method and later assessment of interobserver agreement on the diagnosis of APLOC using photos of APLOC, a standardised questionnaire and Fleiss’s kappa test or descriptive statistics. RESULTSTerms used in literature to evaluate visible APLOC did not include precise definitions or reference to definitions. Most of the expert reports on the first set of photos agreed with the main diagnosis but their verbatim reporting contained substantial variation. The definitions of ulceration (entity, depth, extension), anal skin tags (entity, inflammatory activity, ulcerated aspect), fistula (complexity, quality of drainage, inflammatory activity of external openings), perianal skin lesions (abscess, papules, edema, erythema) and anoperineal scars were validated. For fistulae, they decided to follow the American Gastroenterology Association’s guidelines definitions. The diagnosis of ulceration (κ = 0.70), fistulae (κ = 0.75), inflammatory activity of external fistula openings (86.6% agreement), abscesses (84.6% agreement) and erythema (100% agreement) achieved a substantial degree of interobserver reproducibility.
