Some properties of field-aligned electron events in high-altitude polar regions

Using data from the Cluster spacecraft from January 2003 to December 2004, we perform a statistical study on some properties of the field-aligned electron(FAE) events and interplanetary magnetic field(IMF) By dependence of FAE events with different durations in high-altitude polar regions. A total of 1335 FAE events were observed by the C3 spacecraft. More down-flowing events were observed in the Southern Hemisphere, and more up-flowing events were observed in the Northern Hemisphere. It proves that down-flowing events mainly originate from magnetosphere or solar wind and up-flowing events are mainly derived from ionosphere. Short-lifetime events showed a morning concentration in the magnetic local time distribution, and long-lifetime events were concentrated both before and after noon. For the IMF By dependence of the FAE events, short-lifetime events were much affected by IMF By and resulted in a morning concentration, while the long-lifetime events were almost unaffected by IMF By. With further analysis, we determined that the short-lifetime and long-lifetime events had different sources.

The trillions of microorganisms in the gut microbiome have attracted much attention recently owing to their sophisticated and widespread impacts on numerous aspects of host *** progress in large-scale sequencing and mass spectrometry has increased our understanding of the influence of the microbiome and/or its metabolites on the onset and progression of extraintestinal cancers and the efficacy of cancer *** the plasticity in microbial composition and function,microbial-based therapeutic interventions,including dietary modulation,prebiotics,and probiotics,as well as fecal microbial transplantation,potentially permit the development of novel strategies for cancer therapy to improve clinical ***,we summarize the latest evidence on the involvement of the gut microbiome in host immunity and metabolism,the effects of the microbiome on extraintestinal cancers and the immune response,and strategies to modulate the gut microbiome,and we discuss ongoing studies and future areas of research that deserve focused research efforts.

Achieving a high carrier migration efficiency by constructing built-in electric field is one of the promising approaches for promoting photocatalytic activity. Herein, we have designed a donor-acceptor(D-A) crystalline carbon nitride(APMCN) with 4-amino-2,6-dihydroxypyrimidine(AP) as electron donor, in which the pyrimidine ring was well embedded in the heptazine ring via hydrogen-bonding effect during hydrothermal process. The APMCN shows superior charge-transfer due to giant built-in electric field(5.94times higher than pristine carbon nitride), thereby exhibiting excellent photocatalytic H_(2) evolution rate(1350 μmol/h) with a high AQY(62.8%) at 400 nm. Mechanistic analysis based on detailed experimental investigation together with theoretical analysis reveals that the excellent photocatalytic activity is attributed to the promoted charge separation by the giant internal electric field originated from the D–A structure.

Formic acid(FA)is a potential biomass resource of syngas with contents of carbon monoxide(CO,60 wt.%)and hydrogen(H_(2),4.4 wt.%).Among the technologies for FA conversion,the photoreforming of FA has received widespread attention due to its use of green solar energy conversion technology and mild reaction ***,a V-W bimetallic solid solution,V_(x)W_(1-x)N_(1.5) with efficient co-catalytic properties was first and facilely *** CdS was used as a photocatalyst,the activity performance of the V_(0.1)W_(0.9)N_(1.5) system was over 60%higher than that of the W_(2)N_(3) *** computational simulations and experiments showed the V_(0.1)W_(0.9)N_(1.5) had great metallic features and large work functions,contributing a faster photo-generated carrier transfer and less recombination,finally facilitating a great performance in cocatalyst for syngas production in photoreforming *** work provides an approach to synthesizing novel transition metal nitrides for photocatalysis.

Solar-driven photocatalytic water/seawater splitting holds great potential for green hydrogen ***,the practical application is hindered by the relatively low conversion efficiency resulting from the inadequate utilization of solar spectrum with significant waste in the form of ***,current equipment struggles to maintain all-day operation subjected to the lack of light during ***,a novel hybrid system integrating photothermal catalytic(PTC)reactor,thermoelectric generator(TEG),and phase change materials(PCM)was proposed and designed(named as PTC-TEG-PCM)to address these challenges and enable simultaneous overall seawater splitting and 24-hour power *** PTC system effectively maintains in an optimal temperature range to maximize photothermal-assisted photocatalytic hydrogen *** TEG component recycles the low-grade waste heat for power generation,complementing the shortcoming of photocatalytic conversion and achieving cascade utilization of full-spectrum solar ***,exceptional thermal storage capability of PCM allow for the conversion of released heat into electricity during nighttime,contributing significantly to the overall power output and enabling PTC-TEG-PCM to operate for more than 12 h under the actual *** to traditional PTC system,the overall energy conversion efficiency of the PTC-TEG-PCM system can be increased by∼500%,while maintaining the solar-to-hydrogen *** advancement of this novel system demonstrated that recycling waste heat from the PTC system and utilizing heat absorption/release capability of PCM for thermoelectric application are effective strategies to improve solar energy *** flexible parameter designing,PTC-TEG-PCM can be applied in various scenarios,offering high efficiency,stability,and sustainability.

The mobile robot path planning problem is one of the main contents of reinforcement learning *** traditional reinforcement learning,the agent obtains the cumulative reward value in the process of interacting with the environ-ment andﬁnally converges to the optimal *** Dyna learning framework in reinforcement learning obtains an estimation model in the real *** virtual samples generated by the estimation model are updated together with the empirical samples obtained in the real environment to update the value func-tion or strategy function to improve the convergence efﬁ*** present,when reinforcement learning is used for path planning tasks,continuous motion can-not be solved in a large-scale continuous environment,and the convergence is *** this paper,we use RBFNN to approximate the Q-value table in the Dyna-Q algorithm to solve the drawbacks in traditional *** experimental results show that the convergence speed of the improved Dyna-RQ algorithm is signiﬁcantly faster,which improves the efﬁciency of mobile robot path planning.

For the HMM exists defects in application in the aspect of software behavior prediction, namely, HMM could trap into local optimization because of the problem of B-parameter, which results in the decrease of HMM’s precision. This paper builds a new model HMM-ACO through combining Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm with HMM, with system calls as the data source, improving the prediction accuracy rate of HMM. In order to eliminate the HMM’s reflection on observations characteristics, this paper puts forward a new approach to recognize software behavior with hidden states.

The technique of generating fonts with few-shot learning has become a popular research topic. The goal of this technique is to transform the source-to-target domain by using a small number of sample images to generate characters for new ***, current research is limited by model frameworks and migration algorithms, which pose challenges for maintaining content integrity and stroke-level style consistency when generating Chinese characters. This paper proposes ResFFont, a reversible network-based model that uses a unique reversible framework and Global and Local Feature Fusion Module(GaLSFM) to ensure complete delivery of content information and stroke-level style consistency. The experimental results confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the ResFFont model, providing a new solution to the font generation problem.
