nanoplastics(nPs)can accumulate in the kidney and cause kidney injury,but the multi-organ interaction mech.nism and preventive measures of kidney injury are still *** this study,in vivo(60μg/day,42 days)and in vitro(0.4μg/μL,24 h)exposure models of polystyrene nanoplastics(PS-nPs,80 nm)in mice and human kidney cortex proximal tubule epithelial cells(hK-2 cells)were established,*** study revealed that PS-nPs caused obvious pathological ch.nges and impaired renal function in mice,which were related to lipid metabolism disorders mediated by intestinal ***-fatty acid synthase(Fasn)-docosahexaenoic acid(DhA)pathway may be one of the mech.nisms of kidney injury in ***,we also found that melatonin attenuates PS-nPs-induced nephrotoxicity by modulating lipid metabolism disorders(represented by DhA)and affects Fasn *** conclusion,our study revealed the important role of intestinal flora-mediated lipid metabolism in PS-nPs-induced nephrotoxicity and preliminarily provided potential key gene targets and effective preventive measures for PS-nPs-induced nephrotoxicity.

Detailed sedimentological analysis of the Pokaran Boulder Bed,representing the most basal unit of the neoproterozoic-Lower Cambrian Marwar Supergroup,clearly indicates its glacial *** glacial sediments are interpreted as an ice-contact submarine fan *** on the detrital and inherited zircon population of the Marwar Supergroup sediments and interlayered pyroclastic deposits,a Marinoan cryochron of the Cryogenian Period is envisaged for the Pokaran Boulder *** well-preserved Ediacaran elements in the post-glacial sedimentary succession also support a Cryogenian to Early Cambrian age of the Marwar *** glacial deposition at the base of the Marwar Supergroup strength.ns the regional correlation between the studied sediments with the Lesser himalayan Blaini-Krol-Tal sediments and the haqf Supergroup of *** available zircon ages and paleomagnetic data of the Malani Igneous suite,along with the Marinoan glacial deposits,detrital zircon ages,and Ediacaran fossil elements of the Marwar Supergroup add significant information to the neoproterozoic Earth history.

Ulcerative colitis (UC), a prevalent form of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), may result from immune system dysfunction, leading to the sustained overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and subsequent cellular oxidative stress damage. Recent studies have identified both peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPARγ) and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress as critical targets for the treatment of IBD. Oroxyloside (C22h20O11), derived from the root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, has traditionally been used in treating inflammatory diseases. In this study, we investigated the molecular mech.nisms by which oroxyloside mitigates dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis. We examined the effects of oroxyloside on ROS-mediated ER stress in colitis, including the protein expressions of GRP78, p-PERK, p-eIF2α, ATF4, and ChOP, which are associated with ER stress. The beneficial impact of oroxyloside was reversed by the PPARγ antagonist GW9662 (1 mg·kg^(−1), i.v.) in vivo. Furthermore, oroxyloside decreased pro-inflammatory cytokines and ROS production in both bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDM) and the mouse macrophage cell line RAW 264.7. however, PPARγ siRnA transfection blocked the anti-inflammatory effect of oroxyloside and even abolished ROS generation and ER stress activation inhibited by oroxyloside in vitro. In conclusion, our study demonstrates that oroxyloside ameliorates DSS-induced colitis by inhibiting ER stress via PPARγ activation, suggesting that oroxyloside might be a promising effective agent for IBD.

Mikir hills region,which represents the eastern segment of the Assam-Meghalaya Gneissic Complex(AMGC)in northeast India,constitutes part of the Eastern *** Mikir hills preserves multiple metamorphic and magmatic events ranging from Early Mesoproterozoic to Early *** of these events,documenting the late neoproterozoic to early Cambrian tectonothermal events is helpful in correlating the continental blocks of Eastern *** present an integrated study involving field relations,petrology,P-T history and zircon-monazite geochronology of hitherto poorly studied pelitic and quartzo-feldspathic gneisses from the Mikir hills *** gneisses have experienced at least three deformation events(D_(1),D_(2) and D_(3))with dominant foliation indicated by EnE-WSW striking and shallow-moderately dipping(neissic *** peak metamorphism in pelitic and quartzo-feldspathic gneisses is characterized by garnet(core)-K-feldspar-sillimanite-plagioclase-bio tite-rutile-quartz-ilmenite-melt and garnet-plagioclase-K-feldspar-biotite-quartz-ilmenite-melt assemblages,*** application of thermobarometric methods constrains the peak P-T conditions of 7.5-8.4 kbar at 674-778℃and 6.7-7.4 kbar at 601-618℃for pelitic and quartzofeldspathic gneisses,*** results are consistent with the values estimated using phase equilibria modelling and melt reintegration *** results of pseudosection modelling suggests a clockwise P-T path for pelitic gneisses involving migmatisation during peak metamorphism followed by near isothermal decompression from 8.0 to 8.6 kbar at 768-780℃to 4.0-5.0 kbar at 720-765℃.In contrast,quartzo-feldspathic gneisses preserved slightly lower peak P-T conditions at 3.8-4.6 kbar and 590-650℃.The U-Pb zircon dating of migmatised pelitic and quartzo-feldspathic gneisses yielded concordant ages of 1647±11 Ma and 1590±7 Ma,*** dates represent the inherited igneous protolith components,possibly

half-metallic ferromagnetism,mech.nical as well as thermoelectric properties for rare earth-based spinels Mgho_(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional theory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with Perdew-Burke-Ehrenzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate the lattice constant of both spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy show that our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in the cubic *** ferromagnetic(FM)state stability,we also calculated the energy differences among FM,antiferromagnetic(AFM),and non-magnetic(nM)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic phases were also *** used Trans-Blaha improved BeckeJohnson(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic characteristics,which lead to the consistent explanation of half-metallic ferromagnetism,representing the whole band-occupancy in material with exact detail of density of states(DOS).The stable FM state was examined in spinels due to the exch.nge splitting of ho cation consisting of p-d hybridizations compatible with the result achieved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sharing charge on studied *** addition,the calculated thermoelectric properties clearly show that operation range of these systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying the potential applications of these systems.

Cobalt-free,nickel-rich Lini_(1-x)Al_(x)O_(2)(x≤0.1)is an attractive cathode material because of high energy density and low cost but suffers from severe structural degradation and poor rate *** this study,we propose a molten salt-assisted synthesis in combination with a Li-refeeding induced aluminum segregation strategy to prepare Li_(5)AlO_(4)-coated single-crystalline slightly Li-rich Li_(1.04)ni_(0.92)Al_(0.04)O_(2).The symbiotic formation of Li_(5)AlO_(4)from reaction between molten lithium hydroxide and doped aluminum in the bulk ensures a high lattice match.ng between the ni-rich oxide and the homogenous conductive Li_(5)AlO_(4)that permits high Li^(+)*** from mitigated undesirable side reactions and phase evolution,the Li_(5)AlO_(4)-coated single-crystalline Li_(1.04)ni_(0.92)Al_(0.04)O_(2)delivers a high specific capacity of220.2 mA h g^(-1)at 0.1 C and considerable rate capability(182.5 mA h g^(-1)at 10 C).Besides,superior capacity retention of 90.8%is obtained at 1/3 C after 100 cycles in a 498.1 mA h pouch full ***,the particulate morphology of Li_(1.04)ni_(0.92)Al_(0.04)O_(2)remains intact after cycling at a cutoff voltage of 4.3 V,whereas slightly Li-deficient Li_(0.98)ni_(0.97)Al_(0.05)O_(2)features intragranular cracks and irreversible lattice *** results highlight the value of molten salt-assisted synthesis and Li-refeeding induced elemental segregation strategy to upgrade ni-based layered oxide cathode materials for advanced Li-ion batteries.

Recently,most wave energy research has targeted sea areas with high power density under extreme wave conditions for *** trend often leads to higher energy costs for wave power ***,many marine areas with low power density,characterized by wavelet conditions and less destructive forces th.n extreme wave conditions,remain ***,this study aimed to propose a wave-activated body model for sea regions with wavelet *** wave-activated body design process encompassed site selection,parameter determination,geometry design,comparison and performance evaluation using the AnSYS®AQWA *** results indicated that the proposed device achieved the desired heave motion,with an amplitude range of 1.2 to-2.5 m,validating its potential for deployment in marine regions with wavelet ***,while the proposed design is optimized for wavelet conditions,it was found to have potential limitations in extreme wave *** observation emphasizes the challenge of formulating a generalized design suitable for both ***,it is pivotal for wave-activated body designs to be customized based on the specific ocean conditions they target,underscoring the need for specialized designs of wave energy converters that consider the unique wave characteristics of their deployment sites.
