N-doping offering higher photodegradation performance of dissolved black carbon for organic pollutants: experimental and theoretical studies

We investigated the influence mechanism of N-doping for dissolved black carbon(DBC)photodegradation of organic *** degradation performance of N-doped dissolved black carbon(NDBC)for tetracycline(TC)(71%)is better than that for methylene blue(MB)(28%)under *** levels are both better than DBC degradation performances for TC(68%)and MB(18%)under *** species quenching experiments suggest that h and-O,are the main reactive species for NDBC photodegraded TC,while-OH and h*are the main reactive species for NDBC photodegraded MB.-OH is not observed during DBC photodegradation of *** is likely because N-doping increases valence-band(VB)energy from 1.55 eV in DBC to 2.04 eV in NDBC;the latter is strong enough to oxidize water to ***,N-doping increases the DBC band gap of 2.29 to 2.62 eV in NDBC,resulting in a higher separation efficiency of photo-generated electrons-holes in NDBC than in *** these factors give NDBC stronger photodegradation performance for TC and MB than ***-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS)characterization and toxicity evaluation with the quantitative structure-activity relationship(QSAR)method suggest that TC photodegradation intermediates produced by NDBC have less aromatic structure and are less toxic than those produced by *** adopted a theoretical approach to clarify the relationship between the surface groups of NDBC and the photoactive species *** results add to the understanding of the photochemical behavior of NDBC.

Cooperative engineering the multiple radio-frequency fields to reduce the X-junction barrier for ion trap chips

With the increasing number of ion qubits and improving performance of sophisticated quantum algorithms,more and more scalable complex ion trap electrodes have been developed and *** ion shuttling operations at the junction are more frequently used,such as in the areas of separation,merging,and *** studies have been conducted to optimize the geometries of the radio-frequency(RF)electrodes to generate ideal trapping electric fields with a lower junction barrier and an even ion height of the RF saddle ***,this iteration is time-consuming and commonly accompanied by complicated and sharp electrode ***,high-accuracy fabrication process and high electric breakdown voltage are *** the current work,an effective method was proposed to reduce the junction’s pseudo-potential barrier and ion height variation by setting several individual RF electrodes and adjusting each RF voltage amplitude without changing the geometry of the electrode *** simulation results show that this method shows the same effect on engineering the trapping potential and reducing the potential barrier,but requires fewer parameters and optimization *** combining this method with the geometrical shapeoptimizing,the pseudo-potential barrier and the ion height variation near the junction can be further *** addition,the geometry of the electrodes can be simplified to relax the fabrication precision and keep the ability to engineer the trapping electric field in real-time even after the fabrication of the electrodes,which provides a potential all-electric degree of freedom for the design and control of the two-dimensional ion crystals and investigation of their phase transition.

Two-dimensional(2D)materials that combine ferromagnetic,semiconductor,and piezoelectric properties hold significant potential for both fundamental research and spin electronic ***,the majority of reported 2D ferromagnetic-semiconductor-piezoelectric materials rely on d-electron systems,which limits their practical applications due to a Curie temperature lower than room temperature(RT).Here,we report a high-crystallinity carbon nitride(CCN)material based on sp-electrons using a chemical vapor deposition *** exhibits a band gap of 1.8 eV and has been confirmed to possess substantial in-plane and out-of-plane ***,we acquired clear evidences of ferromagnetic behavior at room *** structural characterizations combined with theoretical calculations reveal that incorporating structural oxygen into the highly ordered heptazine structure causes partial substitution of nitrogen sites,which is primarily responsible for generating room-temperature ferromagnetism and *** a result,the strain in wrinkles can effectively modulate the domain behavior and piezoelectric potential at room *** addition of RT ferromagnetic-semiconductor-piezoelectric material based on sp-electrons to the family of two-dimensional materials opens up numerous possibilities for novel applications in fundamental research and spin electronic devices.

We focused on the efflorescence induced microstructural evolution of ettringite-rich systems prepared with calcium aluminate cement(CAC)and *** effects of anhydrite on the visible efflorescence,and the corresponding capillary absorption of CAC-anhydrite mortars were *** composition and microstructure of efflorescence-causing substances were investigated by optical microscope,in-situ Raman spectroscopy,scanning electron microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer,thermogravimetric analysis,and differential scanning calorimetry,at *** indicate that,besides the calcium carbonate,ettringite is another main component of efflorescence-causing *** with the neat CAC mortars,the addition of anhydrite has a significant effect on the degree of efflorescence by acting on the composition of hydration products and pore *** addition,methods are proposed for the prevention of efflorescence of CAC-anhydrite binary system.

In this work,competition between different supramolecular interactions is investigated based on a fibrous crystal composed of hydrogen-bonded cyanuric acid(CA)and amidinothiourea(ADT).Melamine(M)is found to prevail over ADT and bond to CA due to its stronger triple H-bonding affiliation,forming hollow microtubes assembled by oriented CAM crystalline arrays,as guided by the directionality of peripheral hydrogen ***,competitive interaction between hydrogen bonding and ionic/covalent bonding is demonstrated by mixing Ag+ions with the CA-ADT fibers,where sulfur atoms are abstracted from ADT molecules to produce Ag_(2)S *** in situ-formed Ag_(2)S serves as a binding glue to generate CA-ADT/Ag_(2)S composites with significantly enhanced mechanical strength compared to the pristine CA-ADT fiber pellet.

Evolutionary history shapes variation of wood density of tree species across the world

The effect of evolutionary history on wood density variation may play an important role in shaping variation in wood density,but this has largely not been *** a comprehensive global dataset including 27,297 measurements of wood density from 2621 tree species worldwide,we test the hypothesis that the legacy of evolutionary history plays an important role in driving the variation of wood density among tree *** assessed phylogenetic signal in different taxonomic(e.g.,angiosperms and gymnosperms)and ecological(e.g.,tropical,temperate,and boreal)groups of tree species,explored the biogeographical and phylogenetic patterns of wood density,and quantified the relative importance of current environmental factors(e.g.,climatic and soil variables)and evolutionary history(i.e.,phylogenetic relatedness among species and lineages)in driving global wood density *** found that wood density displayed a significant phylogenetic *** density differed among different biomes and climatic zones,with higher mean values of wood density in relatively drier regions(highest in subtropical desert).Our study revealed that at a global scale,for angiosperms and gymnosperms combined,phylogeny and species(representing the variance explained by taxonomy and not direct explained by long-term evolution process)explained 84.3%and 7.7%of total wood density variation,respectively,whereas current environment explained 2.7%of total wood density variation when phylogeny and species were taken into *** angiosperms and gymnosperms were considered separately,the three proportions of explained variation are,respectively,84.2%,7.5%and 6.7%for angiosperms,and 45.7%,21.3%and 18.6%for *** study shows that evolutionary history outpaced current environmental factors in shaping global variation in wood density.

Trusted Encrypted Traffic Intrusion Detection Method Based on Federated Learning and Autoencoder

With the rapid development of the Internet,network security and data privacy are increasingly *** classical Network Intrusion Detection System(NIDS)based on Deep Learning(DL)models can provide good detection accuracy,but collecting samples for centralized training brings the huge risk of data privacy ***,the training of supervised deep learning models requires a large number of labeled samples,which is usually ***“black-box”problem also makes the DL models of NIDS *** this paper,we propose a trusted Federated Learning(FL)Traffic IDS method called FL-TIDS to address the above-mentioned *** FL-TIDS,we design an unsupervised intrusion detection model based on autoencoders that alleviates the reliance on marked *** the same time,we use FL for model training to protect data *** addition,we design an improved SHAP interpretable method based on chi-square test to perform interpretable analysis of the trained *** conducted several experiments to evaluate the proposed *** first determine experimentally the structure and the number of neurons of the unsupervised AE ***,we evaluated the proposed method using the UNSW-NB15 and CICIDS2017 *** exper-imental results show that the unsupervised AE model has better performance than the other 7 intrusion detection models in terms of precision,recall and ***,federated learning is used to train the intrusion detection *** experimental results indicate that the model is more accurate than the local learning ***,we use an improved SHAP explainability method based on Chi-square test to analyze the *** analysis results show that the identification characteristics of the model are consistent with the attack characteristics,and the model is reliable.

Nickel-based materials,including metallic Ni and Ni oxide,have been widely studied in the exploration of non-precious-metal hydrogen electrocatalysts,but neither pure Ni nor NiO is ideal for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and hydrogen oxidation reaction(HOR).In this paper,an oxygen insertion strategy was applied on nickel to regulate its hydrogen electrocatalytic performance,and the oxygen-inserted nickel catalyst was successfully obtained with the assistance of tungsten dioxide support(denoted as O-Ni/WO_(2)).The partial insertion of oxygen in Ni maintains the face-centered cubic arrangement of Ni atoms,simultaneously expanding the lattice and increasing the lattice ***,the adsorption strength of^(*)H and^(*)OH on Ni is optimized,thus resulting in superior electrocatalytic performance of0-Ni/WO_(2)in alkaline HER/*** Tafel slope of O-Ni/WO_(2)@NF for HER is 56 mV dec^(-1),and the kinetic current density of O-Ni/WO_(2)for HOR reaches 4.85 mA cm^(-2),which is ahead of most currently reported *** proposed strategy of inserting an appropriate amount of anions into the metal lattice could provide more possibilities for the design of high-performance catalysts.

综合需求响应(integrated demand response,IDR)作为区域综合能源系统(regional integrated energy system,RIES)维持供需平衡、实现分布式能源就地消纳的重要途径,已成为当下的研究热点。但现有IDR研究存在3个方面不足:综合能源服务商(integrated energy service provider,IESP)制定激励策略时,未考虑区域内用户的响应疲劳特性;在实施IDR的复杂场景下,未考虑区域IESP间的响应责任交易;忽略响应责任与碳排放责任的耦合关系。为此,首先分析用户响应意愿随响应次数的演化特性,通过引入响应疲劳函数实现对用户响应疲劳特性的有效建模;在此基础上,根据IESP的响应任务类型,设置多个IESP参与IDR的复杂场景。进一步,为实现各IESP参与IDR的经济性与低碳性,在考虑复杂场景下IESP间响应责任交易时的能源转移与碳排放责任转移基础上,建立响应责任-碳排放责任耦合交易机制。最终,采用基于自适应迭代步长的议价方法以确定最优交易价格。通过仿真算例验证所提模型的有效性:考虑用户响应疲劳特性的改进模型使用户的总收益提升27%;所提交易机制不仅使各场景下IESP的总成本分别降低15.8%、9.8%、94.1%,还使典型场景下IESP的碳排放量降低17.8%,提高IESP参与IDR的经济性与低碳性,实现IESP与用户的共赢。

在我国“双碳”背景下,建立综合能源系统(integrated energy system,IES)已经成为实现“碳达峰”、“碳中和”目标,加快能源结构转型的重要举措,而综合需求响应(integrated demand response,IDR)是综合能源系统减少碳排放、缓解供需双侧不平衡的有效途径。然而,现有关于IDR的研究大多仅考虑其经济效益,未考虑其环境效益,忽略了需求侧用户对不同时段激励价格的比价行为以及不同用户的差异化响应特性。该文提出了基于碳排放因子的IDR碳排放折算模型,并将碳排放成本加入综合能源系统服务商(integrated energy system provider,IESP)的目标函数中;通过建立激励交叉弹性耦合矩阵对用户的比价行为进行了有效建模以提升模型的精确性;同时计及用户的差异化响应特性,通过制定差异化的激励策略以充分挖掘用户的响应潜力。所提模型被建立为一个IESP-用户双层优化模型,并将该模型转化为了一个单层的凸优化模型以实现高效地求解。最后通过仿真算例验证了模型的有效性,不仅减少了碳排放量,同时降低了IESP的响应成本并提升了用户的舒适度,实现了多方共赢。
