Huygens metasurfaces have demonstrated remarkable potential in perfect transmission and precise wavefront modulation through the synergistic integration of electric resonance and magnetic ***,prevailing active or reconfigurable Huygens metasurfaces,based on all-optical systems,encounter formidable challenges associated with the intricate control of bulk dielectric using laser equipment and the presence of residual thermal effects,leading to limitations in continuous modulation ***,we present an ultrafast electrically driven terahertz Huygens metasurface that comprises an artificial microstructure layer featuring a two-dimensional electron gas(2DEG)provided by an AlGaN/GaN heterojunction,as well as a passive microstructure *** precise manipulation of the carrier concentration within the 2DEG layer,we effectively govern the current distribution on the metasurfaces,inducing variations in electromagnetic resonance modes to modulate terahertz *** modulation mechanism achieves high efficiency and contrast for terahertz wave *** investigations demonstrate continuous modulation capabilities of up to 6 GHz,a modulation efficiency of 90%,a transmission of 91%,and a remarkable relative operating bandwidth of 55.5%.These significant advancements substantially enhance the performance of terahertz metasurface ***,our work not only enables efficient amplitude modulation but also introduces an approach for the development of high-speed and efficient intelligent transmissive metasurfaces.

This paper discusses and analyzes the core technologies related to the field of terahertz *** introduce the characteristics, domestic and international comparisons and development trends of the core devices for terahertz communication, and also introduce and discuss the terahertz solid-state frequency mixing communication system, terahertz direct modulation communication system, and terahertz optoelectronic communication ***, we summarize the development of terahertz communication technology and the outlook of future applications.

为开发新型聚乳酸(PLA)基可降解贴肤用超细纤维材料,采用聚乙二醇(PEG)和乙撑双硬脂酸酰胺(EBS)对PLA/聚己内酯(PCL)体系进行共混改性。通过熔喷工艺制备出PLA/PCL@EBS超细纤维材料,并对共混聚合物的热力学特性、样品形貌和柔软性等进行实验分析。结果表明,加入PCL和EBS能够削弱PLA大分子间作用力,提高分子链运动能力,提升材料柔韧性能。此外,当模头温度为216℃时,材料纵向最大拉伸强度为64.42 N,较204℃时增加216%,断裂伸长率提高67%,力学性能大大提高。接收距离(DCD)增大,则提升了材料透气性能,当DCD最大为32 cm时,材料孔隙率与透气率分别为92.4%和327.4 mm/s。最后,模头温度和DCD对柔软度得分的影响规律进行响应面分析,为提高PLA/PCL@EBS熔喷非织造材料在贴肤领域应用提供思路。

The special position of terahertz wave in the electromagnetic spectrum makes it possess the characteristics of orientation, broadband, penetration and low energy, which promotes the extensive research of terahertz wave in the fields of communication, radar, imaging,sensing, security inspection and so on. The solid-state terahertz sources based on semiconductor devices have attracted extensive attention in the field of terahertz information technology due to their characteristics such as being able to work at room temperature, being small in size, being easy to integrate and having good frequency stability. Terahertz planar Schottky diode is a kind of low parasitic semiconductor device. Its high cutoff frequency makes it work well in the terahertz range. The frequency multiplier based on planar Schottky diode is an important part of terahertz solid state source. In this review, the development of Schottky diodes technology in recent years have been introduced, including the structures and preparation of Schottky diodes. In addition, the current situation and performance of different types of terahertz sources based on Schottky diodes are further introduced,and the future development trend is discussed.

Vector Radiative Transfer in a Vertically Inhomogeneous Scattering and Emitting ***Ⅰ:A New Discrete Ordinate Method

The original vector discrete ordinate radiative transfer(VDISORT)model takes into account Stokes radiance vector but derives its solution assuming azimuthal symmetric surface reflective matrix and atmospheric scattering phase matrix,such as the phase matrix derived from spherical particles or randomly oriented non-spherical *** this study,a new VDISORT is developed for general atmospheric scattering and boundary *** vector is decomposed into both sinusoidal and cosinusoidal harmonic modes,and the radiance at arbitrary viewing geometry is solved directly by adding two zero-weighted points in the Gaussian quadrature *** complex eigenvalues in homogeneous solutions are also taken into full *** accuracy of VDISORT model is comprehensively validated by four cases:Rayleigh scattering case,the spherical particle scattering case with the Legendre expansion coefficients of 0th-13th orders of the phase matrix(hereinafter L13),L13 with a polarized source,and the randomoriented oblate particle scattering case with the Legendre expansion coefficients of 0th-11th orders of the phase matrix(hereinafter L11).In all cases,the simulated radiances agree well with the benchmarks,with absolute biases less than 0.0065,0.0006,and 0.0008 for Rayleigh,unpolarized L13,and L11,*** a polarized bidirectional reflection distribution function(pBRDF)matrix is used as the lower boundary condition,VDISORT is now able to handle fully coupled atmospheric and surface polarimetric radiative transfer processes.

Dual-band multifunctional coding metasurface with a mingled anisotropic aperture for polarized manipulation in full space

Integrated metasurfaces with diversified functionalities have demonstrated promising prospects for comprehensive implementations in compact 5G/6G communication systems by flexibly manipulating electromagnetic(EM)waves. Increasingly emerged multifunctional metasurfaces have successfully revealed integrated wavefront manipulations via phase gradient arrays, coding apertures, independent polarization control, asymmetric transmission/reflection, etc. However, multifunctional metasurfaces with more degrees of freedom in terms of multi-band/broadband operation frequencies, full-space coverage, and computable array factors are still in dire *** a step forward in extending manipulation dimensions, we propose and corroborate a dual-band multifunctional coding metasurface for anomalous reflection, radar cross-section reduction, and vortex beam generation through full-wave analysis and experiment. Our tri-layer meta-device comprises a shared coding aperture of splitring and cross-shaped resonators sandwiched between two layers of orthogonal wire gratings. With an approach of independent control of a reflection–transmission wavefront under orthogonal polarization states and Fabry–Perot-like constructive interference, the low-cross-talk shared coding aperture features a smooth phase shift and high efficiency for 3-bit coding in the K-band and 1-bit coding in the Ka-band. Both numerical and measured results verify that the proposed coding metasurface can effectively realize full-space EM control and improve the capacity of the information channel, which could be developed for potential applications in multifunctional devices and integrated systems.

Metasurfaces have powerful light field manipulation capabilities and have been researched and developed extensively in various *** an increasing demand for diverse functionalities,terahertz(THz)metasurfaces are also expanding their *** particular,integrating different functionalities into a single device is a compelling domain in *** this work,we demonstrate a functionally decoupled THz metasurface that can incorporate any two functions into one metasurface and switch dynamically through external *** proposed metasurface is formed by the combination of split-ring resonators and phase change material vanadium dioxide(VO_(2)).It operates in the single-ring resonant mode and double-ring resonant mode with varying VO_(2)in insulating and metallic states,*** importantly,the phase modulation is independent in two operating modes,and both cover a 360°cross-polarized phase with efficient polarization *** characteristic makes it obtain arbitrary independent phase information on the metasurface with different modes to switch dual functions ***,we experimentally demonstrate the functions of a tunable focal length and large-angle focus deflection of a THz off-axis parabolic mirror to verify the dual-function switching characteristics of the functionally decoupled *** functionally decoupled metasurface developed in this work broadens the way for the research and application of multifunctional modulation devices in the THz band.

Development of underwater electric manipulator based on interventional autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV)

In applications such as marine rescue,marine science,archaeology,and offshore industries,autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs)are frequently used for survey missions and monitoring tasks,with most operations being performed by manned submersibles or remotely operated vehicles(ROVs)equipped with robotic arms,as they can be operated remotely for days without ***,they require expensive marine vessels and specialist pilots to operate *** exploring oceans are no longer satisfied with the use of manned submersibles and *** is a growing desire for seabed exploration to be performed using smarter,more flexible,and automated *** improving the field operation and intervention capability of AUVs,large-scale and long-range seafloor exploration and sampling can be performed without the support of a mother ship,making it a more effective,economical,convenient,and rapid means of seafloor exploration and sampling operations,and playing a critical role in marine resource *** this study,we explored the integration technology of underwater electric robotic arms and AUVs and designed a new set of electric manipulators suitable for water depths greater than 500 *** reliability of the key components was analyzed by finite element analysis and,based on the theory of robot kinematics and dynamics,simulations were performed to verify the reliability of the key *** were conducted on land and underwater,trajectory tracking experiments were completed,and the experimental data in air and water were compared and ***,the objectives for further research on the autonomous control of the manipulator underwater were proposed.
