Silicon saturation coefficient changes in hydrogarnets during the Bayer process with lime addition

The relationship between the silicon saturation coefficient of hydrogarnets and Bayer reaction parameters was studied. The peak position, crystal plane spacing, and cell edge length of typical hydrogarnet patterns were calculated to find the key factors influencing the relationship. The results showed that the crystal face(420) is the optimal garnet growth direction during hydration and crystal growth along the faces(521) and(611) were not affected significantly by the varying experimental conditions. The reaction temperature significantly influenced the silicon saturation coefficient of hydrogarnets. The silicon saturation coefficient of hydrogarnets increased from 0.2 to about 1.0 in the temperature range of 30–270 °C and a rapid expansion process was observed in the temperature range of 120–150 °C. Moreover, the reaction time, alumina concentration, and C/S were shown to be less important factors. Averaging the results obtained by the 3 methods was shown suitable for calculating the SiO2 saturation coefficient of hydrogarnets. The calculated results of the Al2O3 and SiO2 contents matched the actual ones. However, the actual SiO2 content was about10 % less than the calculated one for SiO2 saturation coefficients higher than 1.

A two-stage state recognition method is proposed for asynchronous SSVEP(steady-state visual evoked potential) based brain-computer interface(SBCI) system.The two-stage method is composed of the idle state(IS) detection and control state(CS) discrimination modules.Based on blind source separation and continuous wavelet transform techniques,the proposed method integrates functions of multi-electrode spatial filtering and feature extraction.In IS detection module,a method using the ensemble IS feature is proposed.In CS discrimination module,the ensemble CS feature is designed as feature vector for control intent classification.Further,performance comparisons are investigated among our IS detection module and other existing ones.Also the experimental results validate the satisfactory performance of our CS discrimination module.

With the advantages of high efficiency and compact structure,supercritical carbon dioxide(sC02)Brayton cycles have bright prospects for development in energy conversion field.As one of the core components of the power cycle,the centrifugal compressor tends to operate near the critical point(304.13 K,7.3773 MPa).Normally,the compressor efficiency increases as the inlet temperature decreases.When the inlet temperature is close to the critical point,the density increases sharply as the temperature decreases,which results in quickly decreasing of volume flow rate and efficiency reducing.The flow loss mechanism of the sCO_(2) compressor operating at low flow rate is studied in this paper.Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulations for sCO_(2)compressor were carried out at various inlet temperatures and various mass flow rates.When the sCO_(2)compressor operates at low volume flow rate,the flow loss is generated mainly on the suction side near the trailing edge of the blade.The flow loss is related to the counterclockwise vortexes generated on the suction side of the main blade.The vortexes are caused by the flow separation in the downstream region of the impeller passage,which is different from air compressors operating at low flow rates.The reason for this flow separation is that the effect of Coriolis force is especially severe for the sCO_(2) fluid,compared to the viscous force and inertial force.At lower flow rates,with the stronger effect of Coriolis force,the direction of relative flow velocity deviates from the direction of radius,resulting in its lower radial component.The lower radial relative flow velocity leads to severe flow separation on the suction side near the trailing edge of the main blade.

The development of lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs)is restricted by their poor cycle stability and rate performance due to the low conductivity of sulfur and severe shuttle effect.Herein,an N,O co-doped graphene layered block(NOGB)with many dents on the graphene sheets is designed as effective sulfur host for high-performance LSB s.The sulfur platelets are physically confined into the dents and closely contacted with the graphene scaffold,ensuring structural stability and high conductivity.The highly doped N and O atoms can prevent the shuttle effect of sulfur species by strong chemical adsorption.Moreover,the micropores on the graphene sheets enable fast Li^+transport through the blocks.As a result,the obtained NOGB/S composite with 76 wt%sulfur content shows a high capacity of 1413 mAh g^-1 at 0.1 C,good rate performance of 433 mAh g^-1 at 10 C,and remarkable stability with 526 mAh g^-1 at after 1000 cycles at 1 C(average decay rate:0.038%per cycle).Our design provides a comprehensive route for simultaneously improving the conductivity,ion transport kinetics,and preventing the shuttle effect in LSBs.

The coastal eco-city of Fuzhou in Southeastern China has experienced severe ozone(O_(3))episodes at times in recent years.In this study,three typical synoptic circulations types(CTs)that influenced more than 80%of O_(3) polluted days in Fuzhou during 2014-2019 were identified using a subjective approach.The characteristics of meteorological conditions linked to photochemical formation and transport of O_(3) under the three CTs were summarized.Comprehensive Air Quality Model with extensions was applied to simulate O_(3) episodes and to quantify O_(3) sources from different regions in Fuzhou.When Fuzhou was located to the west of a high-pressure system(classified as“East-ridge”),more warm southwesterly currents flowed to Fuzhou,and the effects of cross-regional transport from Guangdong province and high local production promoted the occurrence of O_(3) episodes.Under a uniform pressure field with a low-pressure system occurring to the east of Fuzhou(defined as“East-low”),stagnant weather conditions caused the strongest local production of O_(3) in the atmospheric boundary layer.Controlled by high-pressure systems over the mainland(categorized as“Inland-high”),northerly airflows enhanced the contribution of cross-regional transport to O_(3) in Fuzhou.The abnormal increases of the“East-ridge”and“Inland-high”were closely related to O_(3) pollution in Fuzhou in April and May 2018,resulting in the annual maximum number of O_(3) polluted days during recent years.Furthermore,the rising number of autumn O_(3) episodes in 2017-2019 was mainly related to the“Inland-high”,indicating the aggravation of cross-regional transport and highlighting the necessity of enhanced regional collaboration and efforts in combating O_(3) pollution.

Germ cell tumors complicated by hematological malignancy(HM)are a rare clinical phenomenon.Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)is a potentially effective therapy,but graft-versus-host disease(GVHD)is a life-threatening complication.We report a case of a 13-year-old female patient diagnosed with germ cell tumors followed by acute lymphoblastic leukemia.After chemotherapy,she received allo-HSCT and her chimerism rate decreased rapidly to near zero by 6 months without evidence of HM recurrence.However,she developed severe,multiorgan GVHD-like manifestations.DNA analysis revealed the pathogenesis of GVHD to be loss of HLA heterozygosity in recipient hematopoietic cells.

Sanxingdui Cultural Relics Recognition Algorithm Based on Hyperspectral Multi-Network Fusion

Sanxingdui cultural relics are the precious cultural heritage of humanity with high values of history,science,culture,art and research.However,mainstream analytical methods are contacting and detrimental,which is unfavorable to the protection of cultural relics.This paper improves the accuracy of the extraction,location,and analysis of artifacts using hyperspectral methods.To improve the accuracy of cultural relic mining,positioning,and analysis,the segmentation algorithm of Sanxingdui cultural relics based on the spatial spectrum integrated network is proposed with the support of hyperspectral techniques.Firstly,region stitching algorithm based on the relative position of hyper spectrally collected data is proposed to improve stitching efficiency.Secondly,given the prominence of traditional HRNet(High-Resolution Net)models in high-resolution data processing,the spatial attention mechanism is put forward to obtain spatial dimension information.Thirdly,in view of the prominence of 3D networks in spectral information acquisition,the pyramid 3D residual network model is proposed to obtain internal spectral dimensional information.Fourthly,four kinds of fusion methods at the level of data and decision are presented to achieve cultural relic labeling.As shown by the experiment results,the proposed network adopts an integrated method of data-level and decision-level,which achieves the optimal average accuracy of identification 0.84,realizes shallow coverage of cultural relics labeling,and effectively supports the mining and protection of cultural relics.
