Free-standing covalent organic framework(COFs)nanofilms exhibit a remarkable ability to rapidly intercalate/de-intercalate Li^(+) in lithium-ion batteries,while simultaneously exposing affluent active sites in supercapacitors.The development of these nanofilms offers a promising solution to address the persistent challenge of imbalanced charge storage kinetics between battery-type anode and capacitor-type cathode in lithium-ion capacitors(LICs).Herein,for the first time,custom-made COFBTMB-TP and COFTAPB-BPY nanofilms are synthesized as the anode and cathode,respectively,for an all-COF nanofilm-structured LIC.The COFBTMB-TP nanofilm with strong electronegative–CF3 groups enables tuning the partial electron cloud density for Li^(+) migration to ensure the rapid anode kinetic process.The thickness-regulated cathodic COFTAPB-BPY nanofilm can fit the anodic COF nanofilm in the capacity.Due to the aligned 1D channel,2D aromatic skeleton and accessible active sites of COF nanofilms,the whole COFTAPB-BPY//COFBTMB-TP LIC demonstrates a high energy density of 318 mWh cm^(−3) at a high-power density of 6 W cm^(−3),excellent rate capability,good cycle stability with the capacity retention rate of 77%after 5000-cycle.The COFTAPB-BPY//COFBTMB-TP LIC represents a new benchmark for currently reported film-type LICs and even film-type supercapacitors.After being comprehensively explored via ex situ XPS,7Li solid-state NMR analyses,and DFT calculation,it is found that the COFBTMB-TP nanofilm facilitates the reversible conversion of semi-ionic to ionic C–F bonds during lithium storage.COFBTMB-TP exhibits a strong interaction with Li^(+) due to the C–F,C=O,and C–N bonds,facilitating Li^(+) desolation and absorption from the electrolyte.This work addresses the challenge of imbalanced charge storage kinetics and capacity between the anode and cathode and also pave the way for future miniaturized and wearable LIC devices.

The lysine methyltransferase SMYD2 facilitates neointimal hyperplasia by regulating the HDAC3-SRF axis

Coronary restenosis is an important cause of poor long-term prognosis in patients with coronary heart disease.Here,we show that lysine methyltransferase SMYD2 expression in the nucleus is significantly elevated in serum-and PDGF-BB-induced vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs),and in tissues of carotid artery injury-induced neointimal hyperplasia.Smyd2 overexpression in VSMCs(Smyd2-vTg)facilitates,but treatment with its specific inhibitor LLY-507 or SMYD2 knockdown significantly inhibits VSMC phenotypic switching and carotid artery injury-induced neointima formation in mice.Transcriptome sequencing revealed that SMYD2 knockdown represses the expression of serum response factor(SRF)target genes and that SRF overexpression largely reverses the inhibitory effect of SMYD2 knockdown on VSMC proliferation.HDAC3 directly interacts with and deacetylates SRF,which enhances SRF transcriptional activity in VSMCs.Moreover,SMYD2 promotes HDAC3 expression via tri-methylation of H3K36 at its promoter.RGFP966,a specific inhibitor of HDAC3,not only counteracts the pro-proliferation effect of SMYD2 overexpression on VSMCs,but also inhibits carotid artery injury-induced neointima formation in mice.HDAC3 partially abolishes the inhibitory effect of SMYD2 knockdown on VSMC proliferation in a deacetylase activity-dependent manner.Our results reveal that the SMYD2-HDAC3-SRF axis constitutes a novel and critical epigenetic mechanism that regulates VSMC phenotypic switching and neointimal hyperplasia.

Traditional medicine has garnered significant global recognition,with an estimated 80%of the global population using it.Therefore,it is essential to fully understand the integration of traditional medicines into current healthcare systems.This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the standard process to modernize traditional medicine scientifically in the context of modern biomedicine,further termed here as“scientization”.Specifically,we aim to summarize the advancements made in understanding the efficacy,effectiveness,and underlying mechanisms of herbal medicine.We also examined the transition from experience-to evidence-based medicine during acupuncture.Furthermore,we explore the development of universal safety and quality control standards.Finally,we discuss international trade and export markets for Chinese medical products.The development and integration of traditional medicine have allowed it to further improve human health,resulting in a more comprehensive health solution for the global population.

Summer Atmospheric Water Cycle under the Transition Influence of the Westerly and Summer Monsoon over the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin in the Southern Tibetan Plateau

This study compares the summer atmospheric water cycle,including moisture sources and consumption,in the upstream,midstream,and downstream regions of the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin in the southern Tibetan Plateau.The evolutions of moisture properties under the influence of the westerly and summer southerly monsoon are examined using 5-yr multi-source measurements and ERA5 reanalysis data.Note that moisture consumption in this study is associated with clouds,precipitation,and diabatic heating.Compared to the midstream and downstream regions,the upstream region has less moisture,clouds,and precipitation,where the moisture is brought by the westerly.In early August,the vertical wet advection over this region becomes enhanced and generates more high clouds and precipitation.The midstream region has moisture carried by the westerly in June and by the southerly monsoon from July to August.The higher vertical wet advection maximum here forms more high clouds,with a precipitation peak in early July.The downstream region is mainly affected by the southerly-driven wet advection.The rich moisture and strong vertical wet advection here produce the most clouds and precipitation among the three regions,with a precipitation peak in late June.The height of the maximum moisture condensation is different between the midstream region(325 hPa)and the other two regions(375 hPa),due to the higher upward motion maximum in the midstream region.The diabatic heating structures show that stratiform clouds dominate the upstream region,stratiform clouds and deep convection co-exist in the midstream region,and deep convection systems characterize the downstream region.

The development of tellurium(Te)-based semiconductor nanomaterials for efficient light-to-heat conversion may offer an effective means of harvesting sunlight to address global energy concerns.However,the nanosized Te(nano-Te)materials reported to date suffer from a series of drawbacks,including limited light absorption and a lack of surface structures.Herein,we report the preparation of nano-Te by electrochemical exfoliation using an electrolyzable room-temperature ionic liquid.Anions,cations,and their corresponding electrolytic products acting as chemical scissors can precisely intercalate and functionalize bulk Te.The resulting nano-Te has high morphological entropy,rich surface functional groups,and broad light absorption.We also constructed foam hydrogels based on poly(vinyl alcohol)/nano-Te,which achieved an evaporation rate and energy efficiency of 4.11 kg m^(−2)h^(−1)and 128%,respectively,under 1 sun irradiation.Furthermore,the evaporation rate was maintained in the range 2.5-3.0 kg m^(−2)h^(−1)outdoors under 0.5-1.0 sun,providing highly efficient evaporation under low light conditions.

Missing Value Imputation for Radar-Derived Time-Series Tracks of Aerial Targets Based on Improved Self-Attention-Based Network

The frequent missing values in radar-derived time-series tracks of aerial targets(RTT-AT)lead to significant challenges in subsequent data-driven tasks.However,the majority of imputation research focuses on random missing(RM)that differs significantly from common missing patterns of RTT-AT.The method for solving the RM may experience performance degradation or failure when applied to RTT-AT imputation.Conventional autoregressive deep learning methods are prone to error accumulation and long-term dependency loss.In this paper,a non-autoregressive imputation model that addresses the issue of missing value imputation for two common missing patterns in RTT-AT is proposed.Our model consists of two probabilistic sparse diagonal masking self-attention(PSDMSA)units and a weight fusion unit.It learns missing values by combining the representations outputted by the two units,aiming to minimize the difference between the missing values and their actual values.The PSDMSA units effectively capture temporal dependencies and attribute correlations between time steps,improving imputation quality.The weight fusion unit automatically updates the weights of the output representations from the two units to obtain a more accurate final representation.The experimental results indicate that,despite varying missing rates in the two missing patterns,our model consistently outperforms other methods in imputation performance and exhibits a low frequency of deviations in estimates for specific missing entries.Compared to the state-of-the-art autoregressive deep learning imputation model Bidirectional Recurrent Imputation for Time Series(BRITS),our proposed model reduces mean absolute error(MAE)by 31%~50%.Additionally,the model attains a training speed that is 4 to 8 times faster when compared to both BRITS and a standard Transformer model when trained on the same dataset.Finally,the findings from the ablation experiments demonstrate that the PSDMSA,the weight fusion unit,cascade network design,and imputation loss enhance imputation performa

Analytical redundancy of variable cycle engine based on variable-weights neural network

In this paper, variable-weights neural network is proposed to construct variable cycle engine’s analytical redundancy, when all control variables and environmental variables are changing simultaneously, also accompanied with the whole engine’s degradation. In another word,variable-weights neural network is proposed to solve a multi-variable, strongly nonlinear, dynamic and time-varying problem. By making weights a function of input, variable-weights neural network’s nonlinear expressive capability is increased dramatically at the same time of decreasing the number of parameters. Results demonstrate that although variable-weights neural network and other algorithms excel in different analytical redundancy tasks, due to the fact that variableweights neural network’s calculation time is less than one fifth of other algorithms, the calculation efficiency of variable-weights neural network is five times more than other algorithms. Variableweights neural network not only provides critical variable-weights thought that could be applied in almost all machine learning methods, but also blazes a new way to apply deep learning methods to aeroengines.

Insight into the selective separation of CO_(2)from biomass pyrolysis gas over metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials:a first-principles study

The composition of biomass pyrolysis gas is complex,and the selective separation of its components is crucial for its further utilization.Metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped materials exhibit enormous potential,whereas the relevant adsorption mechanism is still unclear.Herein,16 metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials were designed based on the density functional theory calculation,and the adsorption mechanism of pyrolysis gas components H2,CO,CO_(2),CH_(4),and C2H6 was explored.The results indicate that metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials generally have better adsorption effects on CO and CO_(2)than on H_(2),CH_(4),and C_(2)H_(6).Transition metal Mo-and alkaline earth metal Mg-and Ca-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials show the potential to separate CO and CO_(2).The mixed adsorption results of CO_(2)and CO further indicate that when the CO_(2)ratio is significantly higher than that of CO,the saturated adsorption of CO_(2)will precede that of CO.Overall,the three metal-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon materials can selectively separate CO_(2),and the alkaline earth metal Mg-incorporated nitrogen-doped carbon material has the best performance.This study provides theoretical guidance for the design of carbon capture materials and lays the foundation for the efficient utilization of biomass pyrolysis gas.

The Analysis of the Correlation between SPT and CPT Based on CNN-GA and Liquefaction Discrimination Research

The objective of this study is to investigate themethods for soil liquefaction discrimination. Typically, predicting soilliquefaction potential involves conducting the standard penetration test (SPT), which requires field testing and canbe time-consuming and labor-intensive. In contrast, the cone penetration test (CPT) provides a more convenientmethod and offers detailed and continuous information about soil layers. In this study, the feature matrix based onCPT data is proposed to predict the standard penetration test blow count N. The featurematrix comprises the CPTcharacteristic parameters at specific depths, such as tip resistance qc, sleeve resistance f s, and depth H. To fuse thefeatures on the matrix, the convolutional neural network (CNN) is employed for feature extraction. Additionally,Genetic Algorithm (GA) is utilized to obtain the best combination of convolutional kernels and the number ofneurons. The study evaluated the robustness of the proposed model using multiple engineering field data sets.Results demonstrated that the proposed model outperformed conventional methods in predicting N values forvarious soil categories, including sandy silt, silty sand, and clayey silt. Finally, the proposed model was employedfor liquefaction discrimination. The liquefaction discrimination based on the predicted N values was comparedwith the measured N values, and the results showed that the discrimination results were in 75% agreement. Thestudy has important practical application value for foundation liquefaction engineering. Also, the novel methodadopted in this research provides new ideas and methods for research in related fields, which is of great academicsignificance.

Clinical features, treatment strategies and outcomes of craniocervical junction arteriovenous fistulas: a cohort study of 193 patients

Background Craniocervical junction(CCJ)arteriovenous fistulas(AVFs)are rare.The current treatment strategies for AVFs with different angioarchitecture need to be clarified.The present study aimed to analyse the correlation between angioarchitecture and clinical characteristics,share our experience in treating this disease and identify risk factors associated with subarachnoid haemorrhage(SAH)and poor outcomes.Methods A total of 198 consecutive patients with CCJ AVFs from our neurosurgical centre were retrospectively reviewed.The patients were grouped according to their clinical manifestations,and their baseline clinical characteristics,angioarchitecture,treatment strategies and outcomes were summarised.Results The patients’median age was 56 years(IQR 47–62 years).The majority of patients were men with 166(83.8%)patients.The most common clinical manifestation was SAH(52.0%),followed by venous hypertensive myelopathy(VHM)(45.5%).The most common CCJ AVFs type was dural AVF,with 132(63.5%)fistulas.The most frequent fistula location was C-1(68.7%)and dural branch of vertebral artery(70.2%)was the most involved arterial feeders for fistulas.The most common direction of venous drainage was descending intradural drainage(40.9%),followed by ascending intradural drainage(36.5%).Microsurgery was the most common treatment strategy applied for 151(76.3%)patients,15(7.6%)patients were treated with interventional embolisation only,and 27(13.6%)received both interventional embolisation and microsurgical treatment.The learning curve for microsurgery only was analysed by cumulative summation method,and the turning point was the 70th case,and blood loss in post-group was lower than that in pre-group(p=0.034).At the last follow-up,there were 155(78.3%)patients with favourable outcomes(modified Rankin Scale(mRS)<3).Age≥56(OR 2.038,95%CI 1.039 to 3.998,p=0.038),VHM as the clinical manifestation(OR 4.102,95%CI 2.108 to 7.982,p<0.001)and pretreatment mRS≥3(OR 3.127,95%CI 1.617 to 6.047,p<0.001)were significantly associated with poor out
