Kinetic and mechanism of the reaction between Cl and several mono-methyl branched alkanes

Branched alkanes are ubiquitous in the troposphere and play an important role in the chemical *** this work,the rate constants and products for the reaction of Cl atoms with 3-methylhexane and 2-methylheptane were measured at room temperature(298±0.2K)and atmospheric pressure using a conventional relative rate *** rate constants of 3-methylhexane and 2-methylheptane in units of cm~3/(mol·sec)are(3.09±0.31)×10^(-10)and(3.67±0.40)×10^(-10),***,the corresponding atmospheric lifetime of the studied branched alkanes with Cl was 6.92-89.90 hours and 5.82-75.69 hours,*** estimated atmospheric lifetimes indicated that the reaction with Cl atoms could be the most important atmospheric degradation pathway for 3-methylhexane *** gas-phase products of the reactions were identified and quantified,and particle-phase products were also *** atmosphere oxidation mechanism of Cl atoms with 3-methylhexane and 2-methylheptane is *** SOA yields of 3-methylhexane and 2-methylheptane from the reaction of Cl atoms were determined to be7.96%±0.89%and 13.35%±1.50%***,the results reveal that the primary loss process of branched alkanes is the reaction with Cl atoms,which impacts its degradation on a regional scale.

Multicolor V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2)electrochromic films with fast switching and long lifespan for camouflage and information display

V_(2)O_(5),which has multicolor and energy storage properties,is a promising electrochromic material for multifunctional electrochromic devices,but its practical application is limited by its poor lifespan and long switching *** this work,high-performance V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2)films were fabricated by spraying a V_(2)O_(5)solution on in situ-grown TiO_(2)*** to the porous structure formed between the TiO_(2)nanorods and the remarkable electron transfer performance of TiO_(2),the switching time of the V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2)films ***,the strong adhesion between the TiO_(2)nanorods and F-doped tin oxide(FTO)glass and the increased surface roughness of the substrates significantly improved the cycling stability of the V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2)*** a large transmittance modulation(47.8%at 668 nm),fast response speed(τ_(c)=5.1 s,τ_(b)=4.2 s),and long lifespan,V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2)films were used as electrodes for the electrochromic energy storage device(EESD),which switched in six colors through color overlay:dark orange,sandy yellow,green-yellow,yellow-green,dark green,and dark *** by pixel displays,EESDs were designed by segmenting V_(2)O_(5)films to stagger the display of the electrochromic and ion storage layers,which presented 11 types of information based on different combinations of *** work provides inspiration for developing multifunctional electrochromic devices,especially for camouflage and information displays.

The Mass Assembly History for Galaxies with MaNGA

How galaxies assemble masses through their own star formation or interaction with the external environment is still an important topic in the field of galaxy formation and *** use Value Added Catalogs with galaxy features that are spatially and temporally resolved from Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 17 to investigate the mass growth histories of early-type galaxies(ETGs)and late-type galaxies(LTGs).We find that the mass growth of ETGs is earlier than that of LTGs for massive galaxies(M_(*)>10^(10)M_⊙),while low-mass(M_(*)≤10^(10)M_⊙)ETGs have statistically similar mass assembly histories as low-mass *** stellar metallicity of all massive galaxies shows a negative gradient and basically does not change with ***,in low-mass galaxies,the stellar metallicity gradient of elliptical galaxies is negative,and the stellar metallicity gradient of lenticular and spiral galaxies evolves from positive to *** are not all in a high-density environment,but exhibit mass *** the tidal strength increases,the star formation rate of low-mass ETGs rapidly *** results support a picture where massive galaxies exhibit inside-out quenching mode,while low-mass galaxies show outside-in quenching *** effects play an important role in regulating the mass assembly histories of low-mass ETGs.

Constitutive activation of GNAQ/11 is the initiative oncogenic event in uveal melanoma(UM).Direct targeting GNAQ/11 has yet to be proven feasible as they are vital for a plethora of cellular *** search of genetic vulnerability for UM,we found that inhibition of euchromatic histone lysine methyltransferase 2(EHMT2)expression or activity significantly reduced the proliferation and migration capacity of cancer ***,elevated expression of EHMT2 had been validated in UM ***,Kaplan-Meier survival analysis indicated high EHMT2 protein level was related to poor recurrence-free survival and a more advanced T *** immunoprecipitation sequencing analysis and the following mechanistic investigation showed that ARHGAP29 was a downstream target of *** transcription was suppressed by EHMT2 in a methyltransferasedependent pattern in GNAQ/11-mutant UM cells,leading to elevated RhoA *** constitutively active RhoA in UM cells lacking EHMT2 restored oncogenic *** blocking EHMT2 and GNAQ/11 signaling in vitro and in vivo showed a synergistic effect on UM growth,suggesting the driver role of these two key *** summary,our study shows evidence for an epigenetic program of EHMT2 regulation that influences UM progression and indicates inhibiting EHMT2 and MEK/ERK simultaneously as a therapeutic strategy in GNAQ/11-mutant UM.

The earliest evidence for a microblade adaptation in the remote,high altitude regions of the Tibetan Plateau

Microblade assemblages are among the most common prehistoric archaeological materials found on the Tibetan Plateau(TP)and are thought to indicate large scale migration to and settlement of the *** microblade sites,however,have been systematically excavated,especially in the remotest,highest-elevation regions of the *** timing of the large-scale arrival,spread,and permanent settlement of people on the TP therefore remains *** this paper,we report on a recently excavated site,Locality 3 of the Nwya Devu Site(ND3),located at 4600 meters above sea level(masl),near the shore of Ngoin Lake,on the interior *** analyses reveal a fairly typical microblade technological orientation and two types of microblade cores:wedge-shaped and semi-conical,which are similar to those found throughout North *** Optically Stimulated Luminescence(OSL)dating and AMS^(14)C dating,the age of ND3 ranges from 11 to 10 *** date range indicates ND3 is the oldest microblade site yet recorded in the remote,high-elevation regions of the TP and thus provides important information about when and how hunter-gatherers using microblades began exploiting the higher altitudes of the *** together,studies at ND3 and throughout the TP suggest that a microblade adaptation is associated with the first prolonged human occupation of the plateau and that microblades played a significant role in mediating the risks and facilitating the mobility necessary to permanently inhabit the TP.
