The microstructure of the active layer in organic photovoltaics(OPVs),such as the size of phase separation,purity of the phases,and molecular packing within each phase,plays a crucial role in influencing the behavior of excitons and charge carriers within the active *** is also a key determinant of the photovoltaic performance of the *** the optimization of OPV devices,the use of additives has been demonstrated to be an effective strategy in microstructure control,leading to enhanced ***,the quest for stable and efficient novel additives,along with an exploration and summarization of the mechanisms underlying additive-induced microstructure control,is essential for a better understanding of the developmental trends of high-performance *** this review,we categorize additives based on their chemical structures and discuss their effects on the microstructure of the active layer from both thermodynamic and kinetic ***,we elaborate on the working mechanisms and their impact on the photovoltaic performance of the *** review provides an overview of recent advances in additives for OPVs,offering potential guidance for the future development of additives and further optimization of the active layer in photovoltaic devices.

Dynamical switchable quantum nonreciprocity induced by off-resonant chiral two-photon driving

Optical nonreciprocity,which refers to the direction-dependent emission,scattering and absorption of photons,plays a very important role in quantum engineering and quantum information ***,we propose an all-optical approach to achieve the optical dynamical switchable quantum nonreciprocity by an off-resonant chiral two-photon driving in a single microring cavity,which differs from the conventional nonreciprocal *** is shown that the optical field with time-dependent statistical properties can be generated and the nonreciprocity flips periodically,with switchable photon blockade and photon-induced tunneling *** find that the dynamical system is robust and immune to the parameter variations,which loosens the parameter range of ***,the time window for one-way quantum information is sufficiently wide and *** work opens a new idea for the current quantum nonreciprocal research,which can facilitate a memory functionality and be used for future inmemory superconducting quantum *** other nonreciprocal quantum devices,i.e.,dynamical switchable nonreciprocal squeezing and entanglement,may be inspired by our method,which is expected to have important applications in future quantum technology.

Suppression of Co(Ⅱ)ion deposition and hazards:Regulation of SEI film composition and structure

Despite the presence of li F components in the solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formed on the graphite anode surface by conventional electrolyte,these li F components primarily exist in an amorphous state,rendering them incapable of effectively inhibiting the exchange reaction between lithium ions and transition metal ions in the ***,nearly all lithium ions within the SEI film are replaced by transition metal ions,resulting in an increase in interphacial impedance and a decrease in ***,we demonstrate that the SEI film,constructed by fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive rich in crystalline li F,effectively inhibits the undesired li^(+)/Co^(2+)ion exchange reaction,thereby suppressing the deposition of cobalt compounds and metallic ***,the deposited cobalt compounds exhibit enhanced structural stability and reduced catalytic activity with minimal impact on the interphacial stability of the graphite *** findings reveal the crucial influence of SEI film composition and structure on the deposition and hazards associated with transition metal ions,providing valuable guidance for designing next-generation electrolytes.

Hybrid treatment of varied orthodontic appliances for a patient with skeletal class II and temporomandibular joint disorders:A case report and review of literature

BACKGROUND The relation between orthodontic treatment and temporomandibular disorders(TMDs)is under debate;the management of TMD during orthodontic treatment has always been a *** TMD symptoms occur during orthodontic treatment,an immediate pause of orthodontic adjustments is recommended;the treatment can resume when the symptoms are managed and *** SUMMARY This case report presents a patient(26-year-old,female)with angle class I,skeletal class II and *** treatment was a hybrid of clear aligners,fixed appliances and temporary anchorage devices(TADs).After 3 mo resting and treatment on her TMD,the patient’s TMD symptom alleviated,but her anterior occlusion displayed deep ***,the fixed appliances with TAD were used to correct the anterior deep-bite and level maxillary and mandibular deep *** the levelling,the patient showed dual bite with centric relation and maximum intercuspation discrepancy on her *** careful examination of temporomandibular joints(TMJ)position,the stable bite splint and Invisible Mandibular Advancement appliance were used to reconstruct her ***,the improved facial appearance and relatively stable occlusion were *** 1-year follow-up records showed there was no obvious change in TMJ morphology,and her occlusion was *** TMD screening and monitoring is of great clinical importance in the TMD susceptible *** treatment with clear aligners and fixed appliances and TADs is an effective treatment modality for the complex cases.

Host-induced silencing of MpPar6 confers Myzus persicae resistance in transgenic rape plants

Plant-mediated RNA interference(RNAi)has emerged as a promising technology for insect *** green peach aphid,Myzus persicae,feeds on over 400 species of host *** napus(rape)is the second most important oilseed crop *** persicae is highly reproductive and causes severe damage to the rape plants due to its quite flexible life *** this study,we tested the RNAi effects of transgenic rape plants on *** in vitro feeding *** with artificial diets containing double-stranded RNAs(dsRNAs)targeting seven aphid genes,we identified a new gene encoding the partitioning-defective protein 6(Par6)as the most potent RNAi ***-and stage-expression analysis of Par6 suggested this gene is highly expressed in the embryo and adult stage of *** next generated transgenic rape plants expressing ds Par6 by Agrobacteriummediated transformation and obtained nine independent transgenic *** to wild-type control plants,transgenic rape lines expressing ds Par6 showed strong resistance to *** assays revealed that feeding transgenic rape plants to *** significantly decreased MpPar6 expression and survival rate and impaired ***,we showed that the resistance levels to *** are positively correlated with ds Par6 expression levels in transgenic rape *** study demonstrates that transgenic rape plants expressing ds Par6 are efficiently protected from *** with the genes involved in embryo development could be the effective RNAi targets for controlling aphids and potentially other insect pests.

Titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))hollow nanoparticles present significant potential for photocatalytic applications while their straightforward preparation with precise structure control is still *** work reports the approach to preparing tunable hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres by utilization of spherical polyelectrolyte brushes(SPB)as nanoreactors and *** the preparation,the evolution of the structure was characterized by small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),and in combination with dynamic light scattering and transmission electron *** formation of TiO_(2) shell within the brush(SPB@TiO_(2))is confirmed by the significant increase of the electron density,and its internal structure has been analyzed by fitting SAXS data,which can be influenced by Titanium precursors and ammonia *** calcining SPB@TiO_(2) in a muffle furnace,hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres are produced,and their transition to the anatase crystal form is triggered,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction *** the advantages of their hollow structure,these TiO_(2) nanospheres exhibit exceptional catalytic degradation efficiency of methylene blue(MB),tetracycline(TC),and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D),and also demonstrate excellent recyclability.

Facile preparation of Fe/N-based biomass porous carbon composite towards enhancing the thermal decomposition of DAP-4

Fe/N-based biomass porous carbon composite(Fe/N-p Carbon) was prepared by a facile high-temperature carbonization method from biomass,and the effect of Fe/N-p Carbon on the thermal decomposition of energetic molecular perovskite-based material DAP-4 was *** porous carbonaceous materials was considered as the micro/nano support layers for in situ deposition of Fe/N ***/Np Carbon was prepared simply by the high-temperature carbonization *** was found that it showed the inherent catalysis properties for thermal decomposition of *** heat release of DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon by DSC curves tested had increased slightly,compared from DAP-4/Fe/N-p *** decomposition temperature peak of DAP-4 at the presence of Fe/N-p Carbon had reduced by 79°C from384.4°C(pure DAP-4) to 305.4°C(DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon-3).The apparent activation energy of DAP-4thermal decomposition also had decreased by 29.1 J/*** possible catalytic decomposition mechanism of DAP-4 with Fe/N-p Carbon was proposed.

Dual-aligned porous electrodes for enhanced hydrogen evolution in alkaline water electrolysis

The efficiency of water electrolysis is significantly affected by the bubbles on the surface and inside the *** enhance the gas-liquid transfer within the porous electrodes,we developed an innovative design termed dual-aligned porous electrode(D-APE),achieved by integrating magnetic alignment with freeze casting *** paper investigates the hydrogen evolution performance of porous electrodes prepared using four different methods:evaporation,magnetic-aligned evaporation,freeze casting,and dual-aligned *** findings demonstrate that the magnetic-aligned process effectively alters the electrode structure,resulting in improved hydrogen evolution ***,among all the examined electrodes,the D-APE exhibits the highest hydrogen evolution performance,with further enhancements observed with prolonged the time of magnetic ***,a comparison is made between electrodes prepared using the freeze casting method and the dual-aligned method at various *** results show that the thinner D-APE exhibits excellent hydrogen evolution performance at high current ***,the D-APE demonstrates significantly improved material utilization rates compared to the conventional freeze casting method,offering promising prospects for enhancing the efficiency of water electrolysis.
