AIM: To investigate the impact of titanium dioxide nanoparticles(Ti O2NPs) on embryonic development and retinal ***: The agglomeration and sedimentation of Ti O2 NPs solutions at different dilutions were observed,and the ultraviolet-visible spectra of their supernatants were measured. Zebrafish embryos were experimentally exposed to Ti O2 NPs until 72 h postfertilization(hpf). The retinal neurogenesis and distribution of the microglia were analyzed by immunohistochemistry and whole mount in situ ***: The 1 mg/L was determined to be an appropriate exposure dose. Embryos exposed to Ti O2 NPs had a normal phenotype. The neurogenesis was initiated on time, and ganglion cells, cones and rods were well differentiated at 72 hpf. The expression of fms m RNA and the 4C4 antibody, which were specific to microglia in the central nervous system(CNS), closely resembled their endogenous ***: These data demonstrate that short-term exposure to Ti O2 NPs at a low dose does not lead to delayed embryonic development or retinal neurotoxicity.

NEDDylation has been shown to participate in the DNA damage pathway, but the substrates of neural precursor cell expressed developmentally downregulated 8 （NEDD8） and the roles of NEDDylation involved in the DNA damage response （DDR） are largely unknown. Translesion synthesis （TLS） is a damage-tolerance mechanism, in which RAD181RAD6-mediated monoubiq- uitinated proliferating cell nuclear antigen （PCNA） pro- motes recruitment of polymerase q （polq） to bypass lesions. Here we identify PCNA as a substrate of NEDD8, and show that E3 ligase RAD18-catalyzed PCNA NEDDylation antagonizes its ubiquitination. In addition, NEDP1 acts as the deNEDDylase of PCNA, and NEDP1 deletion enhances PCNA NEDDylation but reduces its ubiquitination. In response to H202 stimulation, NEDP1 disassociates from PCNA and RAD18-dependent PCNA NEDDylation increases markedly after its ubiquitination. impairment of NEDDylation by Ubc12 knockout enhances PCNA ubiquitination and promotes PCNA-polη interaction, while up-regulation of NEDDylation by NEDD8 overexpression or NEDP1 deletion reduces the excessive accumulation of ubiquitinated PCNA, thus inhibits PCNA-polη interaction and blocks polη foci formation. Moreover, Ubc12 knockout decreases cell sensitivity to H2O2-induced oxidative stress, but NEDP1 deletion aggravates this sensitivity. Collectively, our study elucidates the important role of NEDDylation in the DDR as a modulator of PCNA monoubiquitination and polη recruitment.

In order to explore the relationship between the macroscopic properties and pore structure characteristics of baking-free slag-sludge bricks,the compressive strength and water absorption rate using aluminum industrial slag and sludge of different substitution rates were *** instruments and image analysis software were used to measure the parameters of the pore ***,a fractal model was built based on the fractal theory,in which the fractal dimension was used as the characteristic index of the pore structure to analyze the correlation and interaction mechanism between the fractal dimension and the macroscopic mechanical *** on this study,conclusions were drawn as follows:(1)The plane pore structure of baking-free bricks shows good fractal *** the increase of the aluminum industrial slag content,the fractal dimension becomes smaller and the pore structure develops well;with the increase of the sludge content,the fractal dimension becomes larger and the pore structure becomes worse;(2)As the fractal dimension of the plane pore structure increases,the compressive strength of baking-free bricks falls,and the porosity and water absorption rise;(3)The optimum content of baking-free slag-sludge bricks is aluminum industrial slag 30%and sludge 10%.After 7 days of curing,baking-free bricks boast higher performance,and fully meet the performance requirements of solid concrete bricks(MU40),which can reduce time costs,and enhance enterprise revenue.

This paper studies the controllability of descriptor multi-agent systems(DMASs) with signed networks, where the networks are signed, and agents have descriptor linear dynamics. First, the basis for the eigenspace of the system matrix is derived completely and qualitatively by leveraging the maximum generalized left Jordan chain defined in this paper. Taking advantage of the explicit form of the basis, necessary and sufficient conditions for the controllability of DMASs are established. Furthermore, a necessary and sufficient condition is provided to ensure the controllability of DMASs with heterogeneous dynamics. Particularly, for some special cases, controllability conditions are expressed more precisely in terms of eigenvectors. Then,the relationship between the controllability of DMASs with signed and unsigned networks is *** is shown that the controllability of DMASs under structurally balanced signed networks is equivalent to that under the associated underlying unsigned networks whether the individual dynamics is homogeneous or heterogeneous. Finally, theoretical results are applied to the multi-agent supporting systems.

In this paper, a four-dimensional coordinated path planning algorithm for multiple UAVs is proposed, in which time variable is taken into account for each UAV as well as collision free and obstacle avoidance. A Spatial Refined Voting Mechanism(SRVM) is designed for standard Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) to overcome the defects of local optimal and slow *** each generation candidate particle positions are recorded and an adaptive cube is formed with own adaptive side length to indicate occupied regions. Then space voting begins and is sorted based on voting results, whose centers with bigger voting counts are seen as sub-optimal positions. The average of all particles of corresponding dimensions are calculated as the refined solutions. A time coordination method is developed by generating specified candidate paths for every UAV, making them arrive the same destination with the same time consumption. A spatial-temporal collision avoidance technique is introduced to make collision free. Distance to destination is constructed to improve the searching accuracy and velocity of particles. In addition, the objective function is redesigned by considering the obstacle and threat avoidance, Estimated Time of Arrival(ETA), separation maintenance and UAV self-constraints. Experimental results prove the effectiveness and efficiency of the algorithm.

Although a variety of nanoparticles with better-than-bulk material performances can be synthesized, it remains a challenge to scale the extraordinary properties of individual nanoscale units to the macroscopic level for bulk nanostructured materials. Here, we report a general and scalable biosynthesis strategy that involves simultaneous growth of cellulose nanofibrils through microbial fermentation and co-deposition of various kinds of nanoscale building blocks(NBBs) through aerosol feeding on solid culture substrates. We employ this biosynthesis strategy to assemble a wide range of NBBs into cellulose nanofibril-based bulk nanocomposites. In particular, the biosynthesized carbon nanotubes/bacterial cellulose nanocomposites that consist of integrated 3D cellulose nanofibril networks simultaneously achieve an extremely high mechanical strength and electrical conductivity, and thus exhibit outstanding performance as high-strength lightweight electromagnetic interference shielding materials. The biosynthesis approach represents a general and efficient strategy for large-scale production of functional bulk nanocomposites with enhanced performances for practical applications. Industrial-scale production of these bulk nanocomposite materials for practical applications can be expected in the near future.
