Objective little is known about the association between whole-blood nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD^(+))levels and nabothian *** study aimed to assess the association between NAD^(+)levels and nabothian cysts in healthy Chinese *** Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the association between NAD^(+)levels and nabothian *** The mean age was 43.0±11.5 years,and the mean level of NAD^(+)was 31.3±5.3μmol/*** cysts occurred in 184(27.7%)participants,with single and multiple cysts in 100(15.0%)and84(12.6%)participants,*** total nabothian cyst prevalence gradually decreased from37.4%to 21.6%from Q1 to Q4 of NAD^(+)and the prevalence of single and multiple nabothian cysts also decreased across the NAD^(+)*** compared with the highest NAD^(+)quartile(≥34.4μmol/l),the adjusted odds ratios with 95%confidence interval of the NAD^(+)Q1 was 1.89(1.14–3.14)for total nabothian *** risk of total and single nabothian cysts linearly decreased with increasing NAD^(+)levels,while the risk of multiple nabothian cysts decreased more rapidly at NAD^(+)levels of 28.0 to35.0μmol/***:low NAD^(+)levels were associated with an increased risk of total and multiple nabothian cysts.

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is the most challenging breast cancer *** stratification and target therapy bring clinical benefit for TNBC patients,but it is difficult to implement comprehensive molecular testing in clinical ***,using our multi-omics TNBC cohort(N=425),a deep learning-based framework was devised and validated for comprehensive predictions of molecular features,subtypes and prognosis from pathological whole slide *** framework first incorporated a neural network to decompose the tissue on WSIs,followed by a second one which was trained based on certain tissue types for predicting different ***-omics molecular features were analyzed including somatic mutations,copy number alterations,germline mutations,biological pathway activities,metabolomics features and immunotherapy *** was shown that the molecular features with therapeutic implications can be predicted including the somatic PIK3CA mutation,germline BRCA2 mutation and PD-l1 protein expression(area under the curve[AuC]:0.78,0.79 and 0.74 respectively).The molecular subtypes of TNBC can be identified(AuC:0.84,0.85,0.93 and 0.73 for the basal-like immune-suppressed,immunomodulatory,luminal androgen receptor,and mesenchymal-like subtypes respectively)and their distinctive morphological patterns were revealed,which provided novel insights into the heterogeneity of TNBC.A neural network integrating image features and clinical covariates stratified patients into groups with different survival outcomes(log-rank Pur prediction framework and neural network models were externally validated on the TNBC cases from TCGA(N=143)and appeared robust to the changes in patient *** potential clinical translation,we built a novel online platform,where we modularized and deployed our framework along with the validated *** can realize real-time one-stop prediction for new *** summary,using only pathological WSIs,our proposed framework

Water quality, habitat, and fish assemblage relationships in middle-order agricul.ure and forest streams of the Mississippi Al.uvial Plain

Background Agricul.ure has greatly influenced water quality, habitats, and fish assemblages in streams of the Mississippi Al.uvial Plain(MAP) ecoregion. However, MAP streams have historically been understudied compared to streams in other agricul.ural regions of the uSA. In this study, water quality, habitat, and fish assemblage composition were assessed seasonally(spring, summer, and fall) in eight representative MAP streams located across three u.S. states. The study design included four streams containing highly agricul.ural watersheds(herein termed “agricul.ure” streams) and four streams containing mostly forested watersheds(herein termed “forest” streams), which were intended to represent reference conditions for MAP *** In general, forest streams contained significantly better instream and riparian habitats than agricul.ure streams(P = 0.010–0.040) whereas agricul.ure streams contained significantly greater levels of primary nutrients(P ul.ure and forest streams with respect to other physical and chemical variables were intermittent and season dependent. Fish assemblages in agricul.ure and forest streams were structured primarily along an environmental gradient reflecting instream habitat conditions, water nutrient concentrations, and benthic chlorophyll-a production. Structurally, fish assemblages in both stream types contained many regionally common species, though some species appeared to exhibit affinities for a particular stream type. Functionally, fish assemblages in agricul.ure streams contained more tolerant species, more omnivores, and fewer insectivores compared to forest stream assemblages, which were nearly all insectivores. Massive bodies of low-oxygen bottom waters are found in coastal areas worldwide,which are detrimental to coastal *** summer 2020,the response of coastal hypoxia to extreme weather events,including a catastrophic flooding,an extreme marine heatwave,and Typhoon Bavi,is investigated based on multiple satellite,four cruises,and mooring *** extensive fan-shaped hypoxia zone presents significant northward extension during July-September 2020,and is estimated as large as 13 000 km^(2) with rather low oxygen minimum(0.42 mg/l) during its peak in 28-30 *** severe hypoxia is attributed to the persistent strong stratification,which is indicated by flood-induced larger amount of riverine freshwater input and subsequent marine heatwave off the Changjiang River ***,the Typhoon Bavi has limited effect on the marine heatwave and coastal hypoxia in summer 2020.

联邦学习作为解决数据孤岛问题的有效方法,在服务器计算全部梯度的过程中,由于服务器的惰性和自利性会存在全局梯度不正确计算问题,因此需要验证全局梯度的完整性.现有的基于密码算法的方案验证开销过大.针对这些问题,提出一种理性与可验证的联邦学习框架.首先,结合博弈论,设计囚徒合约与背叛合约迫使服务器诚实.其次,所提方案使用基于复制的验证方案实现全局梯度的完整性验证,且支持客户端离线.最后,经分析证明所提方案的正确性,并经实验表明,该方案与已有的验证算法相比,客户端的计算开销降为0,一次迭代的通信轮数由原来的3轮优化到2轮,且训练开销与客户端的离线率成反比.

Childhood malaria in the Niger delta area of Nigeria:mothers/care givers'perception,definition and treatment practices

Objective:The objective of the study was to evaluate mothers/care givers perception of malaria,their treatment practices and the effects on the outcome of ***:Four hundred and sixty children were enrolled and their mothers/care givers *** children were screened for malaria parasitaemia and there after,blood specimens were obtained for biochemical and haematological evaluation from those children who met the criteria and tested positive to *** *** cell volume,electrolytes,urea, creatinine,plasma glucose,and serum bilirubin were ***:A total of 460 children were studied, 233(50.7%) males and 227(49.3%) *** malaria cases were 112(24.3%) and severe malaria 348(75.7%).Those who presented early 106(23.0%) and those who presented late 354(77.0%).Perception and definition of malaria as well as the treatment seeking behaviors vary significantly with the level of education of the mothers and care *** without formal education 68(51.9%) wrongly perceived that the etiology of malaria can only be diagnosed by native doctors compared to those with primary six education 61 (26.5%) and junior secondary education 10(10.1%).Only 43(9.3%) gave the correct dose of chloroquine syrup to their sick children,while 32(7.0%) gave at sub optimal ***:Wrong perception of malaria especially the complicated malaria and wrong treatment practices are major contributory factors to the high mortality and morbidity of malaria in *** is therefore a need for health education to correct the wrong ideas about the cause and treatment practices of malaria as part of malaria control programme.
