Uncovering fantastic synergistic lithium adsorption with manganese-titanium based composite nanospheres:Mild synthesis and molecular dynamics simulation insights

In light of the burgeoning energy technology sector and the ever-growing demand for lithium across diverse industrial domains,conventional lithium extraction methods have been proven inadequate due to their limited production capacity and high operational *** work introduces a novel approach to the manganese-titanium based composite HMTO（Mn:Ti=1:4） lithium ion-sieve（LIS） nanospheres,employing lithium acetate dihydrate,manganese carbonate and titanium dioxide P25 as the primary *** nanospheres exhibit relatively uniform spherical morphology,narrow size distribution,small average particle size（ca.55 nm）,large specific surface area(43.58 m2g-1) and high surface O2-content（59.01%）.When utilized as the adsorbents for Li+ions,the HMTO（Mn:Ti=1:4） LIS demonstrates a fast adsorption rate,approaching equilibrium within 6.0 h with an equilibrium adsorption capacity（qe）of 79.5 mg g-1and a maximum adsorption capacity（qm） of 87.26 mg g-1(initial concentration CO:1.8 g L-1).In addition,the HMTO（Mn:Ti=1:4） also delivers a high lithium extraction from the simulated high magnesium-lithium molar ratio salt lake brine（Mg:Li=103）,achieving a qeof 33.85 mg g-1along with a remarkable selectivity(αMgLi=2192.76).Particularly,the HMTO（Mn:Ti=1:4） LIS showcases a satisfactory recycling adsorption *** adsorption capacity remains at a high level,even that determined after the 5th cycle(55.45 mg g-1) surpasses that of the most recently reported ***,the fantastic synergistic lithium adsorption mechanism is deliberately uncovered by leveraging the ion exchange principles and molecular dynamics（MD） simulations.

Investigation and development of advanced multifunctional and sensitive sensors with high luminescen quantum yield and capabilities of detecting different analytes such as metal ions are imperative. we present two series of alkali ions decorated lanthanide coordination polymers(Ln-CPs), which show ultrahigh luminescence quantum yields(QYs) of 77%(1a) and 92%(2a). To the best of our knowledge, 1a represents the first trifunctiona lanthanide complex sensor that can simultaneous detect and discriminate three different analytes, namely H/Cd/Cr through multimode optical response. Quantum yield of 92% is the senond highest value fo lanthanide complex.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus（PEDV） is a highly infectious pathogen that can cause severe diseases in pigs and result in enormous economic losses in the worldwide swine industry. Previous studies revealed that PEDV exhibits an obvious capacity for modulating interferon（IFN） signaling or expression. The newly discovered type III IFN, which plays a crucial role in antiviral immunity, has strong antiviral activity against PEDV proliferation in IPEC-J2 cells. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of PEDV nucleocapsid（N） protein on type III IFN-λ. We found that the N proteins of ten PEDV strains isolated between 2013 and 2017 from different local farms shared high nucleotide identities, while the N protein of the CV777 vaccine strain formed a monophyletic branch in the phylogenetic tree. The N protein of the epidemic strain could antagonize type III IFN, but not type I or type II IFN expression induced by polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid（poly（I：C）） in IPEC-J2 cells. Subsequently, we demonstrated that the inhibition of poly（I：C）-induced IFN-λ3 production by PEDV N protein was dependent on the blocking of nuclear factor-κB（NF-κB） nuclear translocation. These findings might help increase understanding of the pathogenesis of PEDV and its mechanisms for evading the host immune response.

Higher-order modes of the neutron diffusion/transport equation can be used to study the temporal behavior of nuclear reactors and can be applied in modal analysis, transient analysis, and online monitoring of the reactor core. Both the deterministic method and the Monte Carlo(MC) method can be used to solve the higher-order modes. However, MC method, compared to the deterministic method, faces challenges in terms of computational efficiency and α mode calculation stability, whereas the deterministic method encounters issues arising from homogenization-related geometric and energy spectra *** on the higher-order mode diffusion calculation code HARMONY, we developed a new higher-order mode calculation code, HARMONY2.0, which retains the functionality of computing λ and α higher-order modes from HARMONY1.0, but enhances the ability to treat complex geometries and arbitrary energy spectra using the MC-deterministic hybrid two-step strategy. In HARMONY2.0, the mesh homogenized multigroup constants were obtained using OpenMC in the first step,and higher-order modes were then calculated with the mesh homogenized core diffusion model using the implicitly restarted Arnoldi method(IRAM), which was also adopted in the HARMONY1.0 code. In addition, to improve the calculation efficiency, particularly in large higher-order modes, event-driven parallelization/domain decomposition methods are embedded in the HARMONY2.0 code to accelerate the inner iteration of λ∕α mode using OpenMP. Furthermore, the higher-order modes of complex geometric models, such as Hoogenboom and ATR reactors for λ mode and the MUSE-4 experiment facility for the prompt α mode, were computed using diffusion theory.

The design and synthesis of vanadium-based denitration catalysts with low-temperature activity pose significant challenges in the field of toxic gas *** this study,we have developed a novel approach to fabricate highly efficient V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalysts for NOxreduction at low ***,TiO2nanosheets with strong adhesion and large surface area were grown on Ti mesh using plasma electrolytic oxidation technology and hydrothermal ***,super-small traces of WO3and V2O5active nano-species were subsequently deposited on TiO2nanosheets using the deposition-precipitation *** to traditional ceramic-based V2O5-WO3/TiO2catalysts,our V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalyst exhibits superior mechanical performance,excellent thermal conductivity,lower pressure drop,higher utilization of active components,and stronger synergistic ***,the V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalysts exhibited excellent low-temperature catalytic activity with 98% of NOxconversion at 220℃,and remarkable long-term SO2tolerance and water resistance in the selective catalytic reduction（SCR） of NOxwith *** SCR reaction of tiny V2O5and WO3active species supported on TiO2nanosheets directly demonstrated to follow the Eley-Rideal mechanism by in situ infrared spectra.

Mesoporous metals with large surface area,high pore volume,and uniform pore structure hold excellent advantages for various ***,the state-of-the-art synthesis methods are still limited to wet chemistry,which requires excessive solvents and a time-consuming drying ***,we report a facile and general mechanochemical coordination self-assembly strategy to prepare mesoporous metals(e.g.,Rh,Ru,Ir,Pt,Pd,Ag,Co,and Ni)with remarkable porous properties by using metal chlorides and cationic polymer *** with the wet chemistry process,this method proceeds without solvents and does not need complicated experimental conditions and long synthetic periods,which not only greatly reduces the consumption of cost and energy and environmental pollution,but also improves the synthesis efficiency and yield of target *** believe the developed approach will provide a general pathway for the scalable preparation of advanced porous materials.
