With the understanding of the complex interaction between the tumour microenvironment and immunotherapy,there is increasing interest in the role of immune regulators in the treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC).Activation of T cells and immune checkpoint molecules is important for the immune response to *** checkpoint molecules include cytotoxic T lymphocyte antigen 4(CTLA-4),programmed death 1(PD-1),T-cell immunoglobulin mucin protein 3(TIM-3),lymphocyte activation gene 3(LAG-3),T cell immunoglobin and immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif(TIGIT),glucocorticoid-induced tumour necrosis factor receptor(GITR)and V-domain Ig suppressor of T cell activation(VISTA).Many clinical trials using checkpoint inhibitors,as both monotherapies and combination therapies,have been initiated targeting these immune checkpoint *** review summarizes the functional mechanism and use of various immune checkpoint molecules in HNSCC,including monotherapies and combination therapies,and provides better treatment options for patients with HNSCC.

ldentifying novel biocontrol agents and developing new strategies are urgent goals in insect pest *** are potential competent insect viruses that may be developed into bioinsecticides,but this aim is impeded by their poor oral *** improve the per os infectivity of ascovirus,Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki(Btk)was employed as a helper to damage the midgut of lepidopteran larvae(Helicoverpa armigera,Mythimna separata,Spodoptera frugiperda,and ***)in formulations with Heliothis virescens ascovirus isolates(HvAV-3h and HvAV-3j).Btk and ascovirus mixtures(Btk/HvAV-3h and B1k/HvAV-3j)were fed to insect larvae(3rd instar).With the exception of *** larvae,which exhibited low mortality after ingesting Btk,the larvae of the other tested species showed three types of response to feeding on the formulas:type I,the tested larvae(***)were killed by Btk infection so quickly that insufficient time and resources remained for ascoviral invasion;type II,both Btk and the ascovirus were depleted by their competition,such that neither was successfully released or colonized the tissue;type II,Btk was eliminated by the ascovirus,and the ascovirus achieved systemic infection in the tested *** feeding of Btk/ascovirus formulas led to a great reduction in larval diet consumption and resulted in a significant decrease in the emergence rate of ***,***,and *** larvae,which suggested that the formulas exerted marked oral control effects on both the contemporary individuals and the next generation of these tested pest species.

The ab initio pseudopotential local-density studies on the electronic structure and geometry of a theoretical solid are presented with Al_(12)Ge cluster serving as the building block of the *** results show that bulk material formed from cubic close-packing of All2Ge clusters will eventually be an aluminum-like metal when lattice parameter of the solid and atomic geometry of the clusters are optimized by the crystal field.

AIM: To study the effect of albumin administration on lung injury in trauma/hemorrhagic shock (T/HS). METHODS: Sixty experimental animals were randomly divided into three groups: rats undergoing laparotomy without shock (T/SS); rats with T/HS and resuscitation with blood plus twice the volume of shed blood as Ringer’s lactate (RL), and rats with T/HS and resuscitation with blood plus additional 3 mL of 50 g/L human albumin. Expression of polymorphonuclear neutrophil (PMN) CD11b/CD18, intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) of jugular vein blood and the severity of lung injuries [determined mainly by measuring activity of lung tissue myeloperoxidase (MPO) and lung injury score (LIS)] were measured after a 3-h recovery period. RESULTS: All three groups showed a significant difference in the expressions of CD11b/CD18, ICAM-1, and severity of lung injury. The expressions of CD11b/ CD18 in T/SS group, T/HS + RL group, T/HS + albumin group were 17.76% ± 2.11%, 31.25% ± 3.48%, 20.36% ± 3.21%, respectively (F = 6.25, P nificantly increased compared to T/SS group (P = 0.025, P = 0.036, P = 0.028,respectively). However, administration of 3 mL of 50 g/L albumin significantly down-regulated the expressions of CD11b/CD18, ICAM-1 and lung injury index (MPO and LIS) when compared with the T/HS + RL rats (P = 0.035, P = 0.046, P = 0.038, P = 0.012, respectively). Efficient,robust and cost-effective electrocatalysts that catalyze hydrogen evolution/oxidation reaction(HER/HOR)in alkaline media are highly ***,single-atom catalysts(SACs)have emerged as new promising candidates;however,the rational design of supports and the optimization of coordination environment between supports and metal atoms are *** this work,we successfully fabricate atomically dispersed ruthenium(Ru)species,which are strongly coordinated by N and S dual heteroatoms on holey graphene(RuSA/NSG),as an excellent bifunctional catalyst for HER/*** alkaline media,the developed catalyst exhibits high catalytic performance with a low overpotential of 57.3 mV to drive a current density of 10 mA cm^(-1) for HER,and its mass activity is about 5.8 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C and Ru/C catalysts at an overpotential of 100 ***,considerable HOR performance of Ru SA/NSG is verified to be superior to Pt/C and Ru/***,X-ray-based spectroscopy measurements and density-functional theory calculations have confirmed that,compared with Ru–N_(4),the tailored Ru–N_(4)–S_(2) with nearby S dopants can act as more active centers to greatly accelerate the sluggish HER/HOR kinetics in alkaline *** present work provides a new atomic-level engineering strategy to modulate catalytic activities of SACs via the coordination design using dual heteroatoms on the carbon support.

Poly（phenylene sulfide/ether）（PPSE） was synthesized from 4,4＇-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfide and 4,4＇-dichlorodiphenyl sulfide in solution by nucleophilic substitution reaction. The resulting polymer was characterized by viscosity measurement, elemental analysis, FT-IR, ^1H NMR, X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis. The results showed that the viscosities of the resulting polymer were above 0.68 dL/g, and the linear chain structure of product was confirmed. PPSE had the same reflex indices as poly（p-phenylene sulfide）, an orthorhombic crystalline with unit cell a=0.853, b=0.562, c=1.026nm. The melting temperature, glass transition temperature and initial decomposition temperature were found to be 228℃, 85℃ and 325℃, respectively. The product was soluble in common organic solvents such as NMP, N, N＇-dimethylformamide, N, N＇-dimethylacetamide and 1,2-dichloroethane.

In this paper, a novel numerical wave-current flume is implemented based on the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method. The proposed flume is more stable and computationally efficient than conventional ones because it cancels wave paddles or sponge layers while using a non-reflective open boundary condition to simultaneously generate and absorb waves and currents. Numerical tests of nonlinear regular waves interacting with steady currents in the same/opposite directions indicate that the wave-current interactions mainly affect the horizontal velocity distributions in the water body, with little influence on the vertical movements. Water particle trajectories are stretched, and the mass transportation effects are enhanced when the waves and currents are in the same direction. When the directions are opposed, the trajectories, as well as the mass transportation, are compressed, suppressed and even reversed. The applications of solitary wave-current interaction over a submerged bump further show that the relative direction between the wave and the current has remarkable influence on the wave breaking pattern over an underwater obstacle.

The utilization of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))as a C1 feedstock is consistently attractive,especially in the preparation of sustainable polymeric *** this contribution,a terpolymer of CO_(2),1,3-butadiene(BD)and epoxide is synthesized by scandium triflate catalyzed cationic ring-opening copolymerization ofα-ethylidene-δ-vinyl-δ-valerolactone(EVL),an intermediate derived from CO_(2)and BD,with *** obtained terpolymer with a CO_(2)content of 22 mol%has a number-average molecular weight(M_(n))up to 7.8 kg/mol and a dispersity(Đ)of *** reactivity ratios of EVL and cyclohexene oxide(CHO)are determined as 0.01 and 1.07,respectively,suggesting random characteristic of the *** preserved C=C double bonds from BD allow for the further modification of the terpolymer by photoinitiated *** yielded networks are fluorescent and *** method offers enhanced versatility to the synthesis and additional functionalization of CO_(2)-based polymers.
