The mammalian epididymis not only plays a fun dame ntal role in the maturati on of spermatozoa,but also provides protecti on agai nst various *** foremost among these is the threat posed by oxidative stress,which arises from an imbalance in reactive oxygen species and can elicit damage to cellular lipids,proteins,and nucleic *** mice,the risk of oxidative damage to spermatozoa is mitigated through the expression and secretion of glutathione peroxidase 5(GPX5)as a major luminal scavenger in the proximal caput epididymidal ***,the loss of GPX5^-/-mediated protection leads to impaired DNA integrity in the spermatozoa of aged Gpx57 *** explore the underlying mechanism,we have conducted transcriptomic analysis of caput epididymidal epithelial cells from aged(13 months old)Gpx5^-/-m *** analysis revealed the dysregulation of several thousand epididymal mRNA transcripts,in eluding the downregulation of a subgroup of piRNA pathway gen es,in aged Gpx5^-/-*** agreeme nt with these fin dings,we also observed the loss of piRNAs,which potentially bind to the P-element-induced wimpy testis(PlWI)-like proteins PIWIL1 and *** absence of these piRNAs was correlated with the elevated mRNA levels of their putative gene targets in the caput epididymidis of Gpx5^-/-***,the oxidative stress response genes tend to have more targeting piRNAs,and many of them were among the top increased genes upon the loss of GPX5^-/-.Taken together,our findings suggest the existence of a previously uncharacterized somatic piRNA pathway in the mammalian epididymis and its possible invoIvement in the aging and oxidative stress-mediated responses.

MgH2is considered as a promising hydrogen storage material for its high hydrogen storage capacity,low cost and abundant resource ***,the low kinetics and high enthalpy formation of MgH2limit its wide *** the perspective of adding catalysts to enhance the hydrogen storage properties of Mg-MgH2,this article elaborated the main catalysts based on Ti and Nb transition elements,including single oxide catalysts,binary oxides catalysts（combined with ni,Na,Sr,V,etc.）,multiple catalysts bound to carbon,and composite catalysts with Ti and Nb elements combined with MXene ***,the main pathways of various catalysts to reduce the reaction activity and broaden the hydrogen desorption channel were also *** Ti-based catalysts can enhance the reactive sites of the matrix by forming multivalent states,while Nb-based catalysts broaden the hydrogen reaction channels by forming tiny *** improving the size structure and enhancing the grain size stability,combined with carbon materials should be the future considerations.

Spin glasses(SGs),generally defined as disordered systems with randomized competing interactions,are widely investigated complex *** the ground states of spin glasses is crucial for understanding the nature of disordered magnets and many other physical manifestations,while also helping to solve some hard combinatorial optimization problems across multiple ***,the intrinsic cause of SG has always been elusive,especially in spinel oxide ***,we report the SG behavior observed in the cubic spinel oxides CoCrGaO_(4),and provide a comprehensive understanding of its intrinsic *** results indicate a frustrated state under multi-magnetic competition,and the features of SG are confirmed by susceptibility *** fitting parameters ofτ0,T0,and zv of isothermal remanent magnetization further reveal the relaxation behavior and strong spin ***,the varying exchange coupling under different temperatures and magnetic fields is unveiled,which should be responsible for the disordered *** studies unravel the underlying mechanism responsible for doping-induced magnetic frustration and introduce CoCrGaO_(4)as a potential platform for investigating spin glass behavior,thereby advancing fundamental research on frustrated magnetism within the spinel system.

Drug transporters are essential players in the transmembrane transport of a wide variety of clinical *** broad substrate spectra and versatile distribution pattern of these membrane proteins infer their pharmacological and clinical *** our accumulating knowledge on the three-dimensional structure of drug transporters,their oligomerization status has become a topic of intense study due to the possible functional roles carried out by such kind of post-translational modification(PTM).In-depth studies of oligomeric complexes formed among drug transporters as well as their interactions with other regulatory proteins can help us better understand the regulatory mechanisms of these membrane proteins,provide clues for the development of novel drugs,and improve the therapeutic *** this review,we describe different oligomerization forms as well as their structural basis of major drug transporters in the ATP-binding cassette and solute carrier superfamilies,summarize our current knowledge on the influence of oligomerization for protein expression level and transport function of these membrane proteins,and discuss the regulatory mechanisms of ***,we highlight the challenges associated with the current oligomerization studies and propose some thoughts on the pharmaceutical application of this important drug transporter PTM.

A family （X, B1）,（X, B2）,..., （X, Bq） of q STS（v）s is a λ-fold large set of STS（v） and denoted by LSTSλ（v） if every 3-subset of X is contained in exactly A STS（v）s of the collection. It is indecomposable and denoted by IDLSTSx（v） if there does not exist an LSTSx, （v） contained in the collection for any λ 〈 λ. In this paper, we show that for λ = 5, 6, there is an IDLSTSλ（v） for v ≡ 1 or 3 （rood 6） with the exception IDLSTS6（7）.

A hybrid triple system of order v and index A, denoted by HTS（v, λ）, is a pair （X,B） where X is a v-set and B is a collection of cyclic triples and transitive triples on X, such that every ordered pair of X belongs to A triples of B. An overlarge set of disjoint HTS（v, λ）, denoted by OLHTS（v, λ）, is a collection {（Y／{y}, .Ai）}i, such that Y is a （v ＋ 1）-set, each （Y／{y}, Ai） is an HTS（v, λ,） and all Ais form a partition of all cyclic triples and transitive triples on Y. In this paper, we shall discuss the existence problem of OLHTS（v, A） and give the following conclusion： there exists an OLHTS（v, λ） if and only if λ= 1, 2, 4, v = 0, 1 （rood 3） and v ≥ 4.

The electrohydrodynamic behaviors and evolution processes of silicone oil droplet in castor oil under uniform direct current(DC)electric field are visually observed based on a high-speed microscopic ***,the effects of different working conditions,such as electric field strength,droplet size,etc.,on droplet behaviors are roundly *** can be found that there are four droplet behavior modes,including Taylor deformation,typical oblique rotation,periodic oscillation,and fracture,which change with the increase of electric field *** is also demonstrated that the degree of flat ellipse deformation gets larger under a stronger electric ***,both of the stronger electric field and smaller droplet size lead to an increase in the rotation angle of the droplet.

To analyze and control complex networks effectively, this paper puts forward a new kind of scheme, which takes control separately in each area and can achieve the network’s coordinated optimality. The proposed algorithm is made up of two parts: the first part decomposes the network into several independent areas based on community structure and decouples the information flow and control power among areas; the second part selects the center nodes from each area with the help of the control centrality index. As long as the status of center nodes is kept on a satisfactory level in each area, the whole system is under effective control. Finally, the algorithm is applied to power grids, and the simulations prove its effectiveness.
