SnO2/metal organic complex composite derived from low-temperature activated metal organic complex for advanced lithium storage

Sn-based metal organic complexes with coordination bonds,multi-active sites,and high theoretical capacity have attracted much attention as promising anodes for lithium ion batteries.However,the low electrical conductivity and huge volume changes restricted their electrochemical stability and practical utilization.Herein,Snbased anode with superior electrochemical performance,including a high reversible capacity of 1050.1 mAh·g-1at 2 A·g-1and a stable capacity of 1105.5 mAh·g-1after 500 cycles at 1 A·g-1,was fabricated via a low-temperature calcination strategy from Sn metal organic complexes.The low-temperature calcination process regulates Sn-O bond and prevents the agglomeration of SnO2,generating highly dispersed SnO2decorated metal organic complexes and providing sufficient active sites for ion storage.Ex situ characterizations expound that the undecomposed Sn-based metal organic complexes could be transformed into SnO2during lithiation and delithiation,which enhances the electrical conductivity and induces a strong pseudo-capacitive behavior,accelerating the electrochemical kinetics;the multiple solid electrolyte interface with inflexible LiF and flexible ROCO2Li buffers the volume variation of the electrode,resulting in its high electrochemical stability.This work provides a simple strategy for preparing excellent Sn-based anodes from metal organic complexes and reveals the lithium storage mechanism of the prepared Snbased anode.

BACKGROUND Left ventricular(LV)remodeling and diastolic function in people with heart failure(HF)are correlated with iron status;however,the causality is uncertain.This Mendelian randomization(MR)study investigated the bidirectional causal relationship between systemic iron parameters and LV structure and function in a preserved ejection fraction population.METHODS Transferrin saturation(TSAT),total iron binding capacity(TIBC),and serum iron and ferritin levels were extracted as instrumental variables for iron parameters from meta-analyses of public genome-wide association studies.Individuals without myocardial infarction history,HF,or LV ejection fraction(LVEF)ling and function in a preserved ejection fraction population.

BACKGROUND The intensive care unit(ICU)is a specialized hospital department.Awake patients in the ICU frequently encounter adverse psychological states,such as anxiety and fear,often accompanied by poor sleep quality.This situation has garnered significant attention within the medical community.AIM To investigate the impact of prospective nursing intervention strategies on the sleep quality and negative emotional state of conscious ICU patients.METHODS One hundred and twenty ICU awake patients admitted to our hospital were selected and randomly divided into control(n=60)and observation(n=60)groups.Patients in the control group were cared for using the conventional nursing model,while patients in the observation group were cared for using the prospective nursing model.Sleep improvement was assessed using the International Standardized Sleep Efficiency Formula and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).The PSQI,Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item(GAD-7)scale,Self-Depression Scale(SDS),and satisfaction before and after treatment were used to assess the negative emotional states of patients under the two care models.RESULTS Patient satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group.The GAD-7 and SDS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the total effective rate of sleep improvement in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control group.After treatment,the PSQI scores of the two groups significantly decreased(Plinical application.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the relationship between autophagy and apoptosis regulated by puerarin during osteoblastogenesis.METHODS:In this study,the effects of puerarin on the autophagic activity and apoptosis level of osteoblast precursors(MC3T3-E1 cells)was observed.Subsequently,the roles of puerarin on B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2)phosphorylation at different sites in osteoblast precursors were observed.The effect of puerarin on the interaction between Bcl-2 and autophagy regulatory molecule or pro-apoptotic molecule was also investigated using Co-immunoprecipitation assays.In addition,the effect of puerarin on mitochondrial membrane potential of osteoblast precursors was also identified by mitochondrial membrane potential fluorescence probe assays.RESULTS:Our results showed that puerarin can promote the autophagic activity and apoptosis level of MC3T3-E1cells.In addition,puerarin promoted Bcl-2phosphorylation at Ser70 site,and the dissociation of Bcl-2-Beclin1 complex.Moreover,puerarin could enhance the binding of Bcl-2-Bcl-2-Associated X(Bax)complex in MC3T3-E1 cells.Furthermore,puerarin increased the mitochondrial membrane potential of MC3T3-E1 cells.CONCLUSIONS:Therefore,puerarin promotes Beclin1into autophagy flux through Bcl-2 phosphorylation at Ser70,thereby enhancing autophagy of osteoblast precursors,which mediates its anti-apoptotic role during osteoblastogenesis.Furthermore,the dissociation of Bcl-2-Beclin1 complex is conducive to the binding of Bcl-2-Bax complex,which resists the apoptosis of osteoblast precursors via the increased mitochondrial membrane potential.

Herein,the successful preparation of a singleatom catalyst V-N-C using vanadium-doped zeolitic imidazolate framework（ziF）-8 as a precursor is reported.The experimental results showed that the V-N-C had a good promoting effect on the hydrogen storage performance of MgH2,and the optimal addition amount of V-N-C was 10wt%.The hydrogenation and dehydrogenation apparent activation energies of 10 wt% V-N-C-catalyzed MgH2were reduced by 44.9 and 53.5 kJ·mol-1,respectively,compared to those of additive-free MgH2.The 10 wt% V-N-C-catalyzed MgH2could reabsorb 5.92 wt% of hydrogen in 50 min at 150℃,with a capacity retention rate of 99.1% after 30 cycles of hydrogen absorption and desorption.Mechanism analysis showed that V-N-C was partially transformed into VN and metallic V when it was milled with MgH2;the in-situ-formed VN and metallic V played an important role in improving the hydrogen storage performance of MgH2.This approach provides a potential solution for obtaining high-performance Mg-based hydrogen storage materials through synergistic interactions between V,N and C.

As typical metalloid toxic elements widely distributed in environmental media,the geochemical behaviour of antimony(Sb)and arsenic(As)affects environmental safety.We selected the surface waters and sediments at the river-lake junction of Dongting Lake as the research objects,analysed the concentration and chemical partitioning of Sb and As,assessed its contamination and ecological risk levels,and discussed its sources and potential influencing factors.The concentrations of dissolved Sb and As in surface waters were low(zijiang River)were the main contaminated sources of Sb,while As was affect mainly by rainwater erosion.The contamination and ecological risk of Sb in the inlet of the zijiang River should receive considerable attention,while those of As in the inlet of the Xiangjiang River should also be seriously considered.This study highlights the need for multi-index-based assessments of contamination and ecological risk and the importance of further studies on the environmental behaviour of metalloids in specific hydrological conditions,such as river-lake junctions.

MFG-E8 Alleviates Cognitive Impairments Induced by Chronic Cerebral Hypoperfusion by Phagocytosing Myelin Debris and Promoting Remyelination

Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion is one of the pathophysiological mechanisms contributing to cognitive decline by causing white matter injury.Microglia phagocytosing myelin debris in a timely manner can promote remyelination and contribute to the repair of white matter.However,milk fat globule-epidermal growth factor-factor 8(MFG-E8),a microglial phagocytosis-related protein,has not been well studied in hypoperfusion-related cognitive dysfunction.We found that the expression of MFG-E8 was significantly decreased in the brain of mice after bilateral carotid artery stenosis(BCAS).MFG-E8 knockout mice demonstrated more severe BCAS-induced cognitive impairments in the behavioral tests.In addition,we discovered that the deletion of MFG-E8 aggravated white matter damage and the destruction of myelin microstructure through fluorescent staining and electron microscopy.Meanwhile,MFG-E8 overexpression by AAV improved white matter injury and increased the number of mature oligodendrocytes after BCAS.Moreover,in vitro and in vivo experiments showed that MFG-E8 could enhance the phagocytic function of microglia via theαVβ3/αVβ5/Rac1 pathway and IGF-1 production to promote the differentiation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells into mature oligodendrocytes.Interestingly,we found that MFG-E8 was mainly derived from astrocytes,not microglia.Our findings suggest that MFG-E8 is a potential therapeutic target for cognitive impairments following cerebral hypoperfusion.

CFD-DEM simulation of fluorination reaction in fluidized beds with local grid and time refinement method

The gas-solid reaction process with wide particle size distribution is extensively used in the chemical engineering field,especially the particle reacts with the gas gradually,such as fluorination reactions in fluidized beds.When the computational fluid dynamics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)is used for the coupling simulation of multiphase and polydisperse particle reaction system,the grid size directly affects the accuracy of flow field information and simulation of chemical reaction.Furthermore,particle calculation time step will directly affect the efficiency of coupling calculation.In this work,a local grid and time step refinement method is proposed to simulate multiphase and polydisperse particle fluid-ization reaction system.In this method,the refined DEM grids are automatically generated in the computational domain around the fine particles,and the detailed fluid phase information is obtained with the interpolation algorithm.In the two-phase coupling process,particles are divided into different groups based on physical properties,each group has its own independent time step.The multistage conical-cylindrical spouted bed is proposed for the fluorination reaction process;the operating gas ve-locity range of the polydisperse particle system is extended by the new design while the particle size distribution changes with the gas-solid reaction process.It is demonstrated that the local grid and time step refinement method can improve the accuracy and efficiency of the traditional CFD-DEM method in the reaction process simulation,which describes a polydisperse particle system with wide particle size distribution.Aimed at improving the simulation accuracy and efficiency,this paper will be helpful for simulating the particle reaction process in the gas-solid fluidized bed and beneficial for the development of the CFD-DEM method.
