As a representative type of self-supported templates, cyano-bridged cyanogels provide ideal plateaus for synthesis of three-dimensional(3 D) nanostructures. Herein, 3 D pomegranate-like Fe-doped NiCo nanoassemblies(3 D PG-NiCoFe NAs) were synthesized via facile one-step bi-component cyanogel reduction with NaBH_4 as the reducing agent. Specifically, the influence of the incorporated Fe amount was carefully investigated by finely adjusting the feeding molar ratios of the Ni/Co/Fe atoms in the *** virtue of the unique structure and enriched oxygen vacancies originated from well-modulated electronic structures, the 3 D PG-NiCoFe-211 NAs exhibited outstanding electrocatalytic performances for oxygen evolution reaction(OER) in alkaline solution, outperforming commercial RuO_2 catalyst. The current incorporation of foreign metal atom into host material provides some valuable insights into design and synthesis of metal-based nanocatalysts for constructing practical water splitting devices.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AziBs)have attracted widespread attention due to the advantages of high safety and environmental *** V_(2)O_(3) is a promising cathode,the strong electrostatic interaction between Zn^(2+) and V_(2)O_(3) crystal,and the sluggish reaction kinetics still limit their application in ***,the oxygen defects rich V_(2)O_(3) with conducive poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)shell(V_(2)O_(3)-Od@PEDOT)was fabricated for AziBs by combining the sulfur-assisted thermal reduction and in-situ polymerization *** introduced oxygen vacancies of V_(2)O_(3)–Od@PEDOT weaken the electrostatic interaction between Zn^(2+) and the host material,improving the interfacial electron transport,while the PEDOT coating enhances the structural stability and conductivity of V_(2)O_(3),thus accelerating the reaction *** on the advantages,V_(2)O_(3)–Od@PEDOT electrode delivers a reversible capacity of 495 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.1 A·g^(−1),good rate capability(189 mAh·g^(−1)at 8.0 A·g^(−1)),and an impressive cycling stability with 90.1%capacity retention over 1000 cycles at 8.0 A·g^(−1).The strategy may provide a path for exploiting the other materials for high performance AziBs.

In this study, we analyzed the genetic structure and phylogeography of Sphaeropteris brunoniana from China and Laos. Combining cpDNA trnL-trnF and atpB-rbcL sequence variations, five haplotypes were identi- fied from the 10 investigated populations. Moderate haplotype diversity (h = 0.66580) and low nucleotide diver- sity (π = 0.23 × 10 ?3 ) were detected. The S. brunoniana in Yunnan region had much higher genetic diversity (h = 0.60195, π = 0.35 × 10 ?3 ) than that of Hainan–Laos (h = 0.00000, π = 0.00). A high level of genetic differentiation (94.74%) between the two regions was revealed by AMOVA. Nested clade analysis identified two major clusters of the five haplotypes, one clade in the Yunnan region and the other in Hainan–Laos. The analysis indicated that restricted gene flow with isolation by distance and allopatric fragmentation were likely the major processes that shaped the spatial distribution of the haplotypes. The isolated distribution of clades implied the emergence of independent refugia of this species in each region during Quaternary glaciations. The Yunnan populations frequently contained an ancestral haplotype, and most of them harbored other descendent haplotypes. Based on the distribution pattern of haplotypes and the nested clade analysis results, the Yunnan region potentially had several refugia of this species during glacial periods, whereas the Hainan populations were probable new colonizations.

Reperfusion following cerebral ischemia causes both structural and functional damage to brain tissue and could aggravate a patient's condition;this phenomenon is known as cerebral ischemia-reperfusion *** studies have elucidated the neuroprotective role of the sirtuin protein family(Sirtuins)in modulating cerebral ischemia-reperfusion ***,the potential of utilizing it as a novel intervention target to influence the prognosis of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury requires additional *** this review,the origin and research progress of Sirtuins are summarized,suggesting the involvement of Sirtuins in diverse mechanisms that affect cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury,including inflammation,oxidative stress,blood-brain barrier damage,apoptosis,pyroptosis,and *** therapeutic avenues related to Sirtuins that may improve the prognosis of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury were also investigated by modulating Sirtuins expression and affecting representative pathways,such as nuclear factor-kappa B signaling,oxidative stress mediated by adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase,and the forkhead box *** review also summarizes the potential of endogenous substances,such as RNA and hormones,drugs,dietary supplements,and emerging therapies that regulate Sirtuins *** review also reveals that regulating Sirtuins mitigates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury when combined with other risk *** Sirtuins show promise as a potential target for the treatment of cerebral ischemiareperfusion injury,most recent studies are based on rodent models with circadian rhythms that are distinct from those of humans,potentially influencing the efficacy of Sirtuinstargeting drug ***,this review provides new insights into the role of Sirtuins in the pathology and treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AziBs） exhibit appreciable potential in the domain of electrochemical energy ***,there are serious challenges for AziBs,for instance zinc dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction （HER）,and corrosion side ***,we propose a surface engineering modification strategy for coating the montmorillonite （MMT） layer onto the surface of the Zn anode to tackle these issues,thereby achieving high cycling stability for rechargeable *** results reveal that the MMT layer on the surface of the Zn anode is able to provide ordered zincophilic channels for zinc ions migration,facilitating the reaction kinetics of zinc *** functional theory（DFT） calculations and water contact angle （CA） tests prove that MMT@Zn anode exhibits superior adsorption capacity for Zn2+and better hydrophobicity than the bare Zn anode,thereby achieving excellent cycling ***,the MMT@Zn||MMT@Zn symmetric cell holds the stable cycling over 5600 h at 0.5 mA cm-2and 0.125 m A h cm-2,even exceeding 1800 h long cycling under harsh conditions of 5 m A cm-2and 1.25 m A h *** MMT@Zn||V2O5full cell reaches over 3000 cycles at 2 A g-1with excellent rate ***,this surface engineering modification strategy for enhancing the electrochemical performance of AziBs represents a promising application.

Salsolinol(1-methyl-6,7-dihydroxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline,Sal)is a catechol isoquinoline that causes neurotoxicity and shares structural similarity with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine,an environmental toxin that causes Parkinson's ***,the mechanism by which Sal mediates dopaminergic neuronal death remains *** this study,we found that Sal significantly enhanced the global level of N~6-methyladenosine(m~6A)RNA methylation in PC12 cells,mainly by inducing the downregulation of the expression of m~6A demethylases fat mass and obesity-associated protein(FTO)and alk B homolog 5(ALKBH5).RNA sequencing analysis showed that Sal downregulated the Hippo signaling *** m~6A reader YTH domain-containing family protein 2(YTHDF2)promoted the degradation of m~6A-containing Yes-associated protein 1(YAP1)mRNA,which is a downstream key effector in the Hippo signaling ***,downregulation of YAP1 promoted autophagy,indicating that the mutual regulation between YAP1 and autophagy can lead to *** findings reveal the role of Sal on m~6A RNA methylation and suggest that Sal may act as an RNA methylation inducer mediating dopaminergic neuronal death through YAP1 and *** results provide greater insights into the neurotoxic effects of catechol isoquinolines compared with other studies and may be a reference for assessing the involvement of RNA methylation in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease.

BACKGROUND The incidence of acute myocardial infarction(AMI)is rising,with cardiac rupture accounting for approximately 2%of deaths in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(STEMI).Ventricular free wall rupture(FWR)occurs in approximately 2%of AMI patients and is notably rare in patients with *** of cardiac rupture include left ventricular FWR,ventricular septal rupture,and papillary muscle *** FWR usually leads to acute cardiac tamponade or electromechanical dissociation,where standard resuscitation efforts may not be *** septal rupture and papillary muscle rupture often result in refractory heart failure,with mortality rates over 50%,even with surgical or percutaneous repair *** SUMMARY We present a rare case of an acute non-STEMI patient who suffered sudden FWR causing cardiac tamponade and loss of consciousness immediate before undergoing coronary *** resuscitation and emergency open-heart repair along with coronary artery bypass grafting resulted in successful patient *** This case emphasizes the risks of AMI complications,shares a successful treatment scenario,and discusses measures to prevent such complications.

ABSTRACT:The practical application of rotating triboelectric nanogenerators is often limited by the wear of high-friction surface materials and low surface charge *** addition to the charge pump replenishment strategy,suppressing charge decay is also crucial for increasing surface charge ***,we present a high performance rotary triboelectric nanogenerator(HPR-TENG)based on a coplanar charge pumping strategy and polyvinyl chloride(PVC)*** has been demonstrated that applying PVC film to the surface of the storage electrode of the main TENG(M-TENG)significantly enhances the M-TENG’s output ***,the HPR-TENG with three layers of PVC film pasted achieved the best output performance,with a peak-topeak output voltage of 2828 V,a peak-to-peak output current of 327μA and a charge transfer of 0.81μC at 500 *** addition,the output improvement effects of different materials are *** TENG with 3 layers of PVC film pasted on it has a maximum output power of 748 mW at a load resistance of 4×10^(6)Ω.HPR-TENG’s output performance remains consistent after 100,000 cycles,which shows excellent *** excellent electrical performance of the HPR-TENG can be used as the energy supply for the tip high-voltage breakdown sensor system,which can achieve 14 breakdowns in 10 *** to its extraordinary electrical performance,HPRTENG can not only serve as an energy supply for cutting-edge high-voltage breakdown sensor systems,but also has the potential to serve as an energy supply for high-pressure sterilization,high-pressure vacuum and water electrolysis.

Electrocatalytic water splitting offers a promising way for hydrogen production with near-zero ***,such as molybdenum carbides(Mo_(2)C),are promising materials for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)but still suffer from poor intrinsic water activation ***,we developed a plasmon-induced local electric field(PILEF)strategy to solve this ***(Ag)nanoparticles decorated Mo_(2)C nanosheets(Ag/Mo_(2)C)were successfully prepared by electrostatic *** visible light excited the PILEF on Ag/Mo_(2)C remarkably reducing the activation energy by 92.7 kJ·mol^(-1)from 147.3 kJ·mol^(-1)of Mo_(2)C to 54.6 kJ·mol^(-1).As a result,the plasmonic Ag/Mo_(2)C significantly enhances~2.3-fold of the current density from 2.8 mA·cm^(-2)of Mo_(2)C to 6.5 mA·cm^(-2)at-3 V *** and reduces the overpotential by 104 mV from 403 mV of dark state to 299 mV of light state at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2),achieving better performance than reported *** research demonstrates that PILEF enhances HER activities,offering a potential strategy for boosting the intrinsic activities of catalysts.
