Microdissection testicular sperm extraction(micro-TESE)is widely used to treat nonobstructive ***,a good prediction model is required to anticipate a successful sperm retrieval rate before performing *** retrospective study analyzed the clinical records of 200 nonobstructive azoospermia patients between January 2021 and December *** backward method was used to perform binary logistic regression analysis and identify factors that predicted a successful micro-TESE sperm *** prediction model was constructed using acquired regression coefficients,and its predictive performance was assessed using the receiver operating characteristic *** all,67 patients(sperm retrieval rate:33.5%)underwent successful ***-stimulating hormone,anti-Miillerian hormone,and inhibin B levels varied significantly between patients who underwent successful and unsuccessful *** logistic regression analysis yielded the following six predictors:anti-Mullerian hormone(odds ratio[OR]=0.902,95%confidence interval[Cl]:0.821-0.990),inhibin B(OR=1.012,95%Cl:1.001-1.024),Klinefelter’s syndrome(OR=0.022,95%Cl:0.002-0.243),Y chromosome microdeletion(OR=0.050,95%Cl:0.005-0.504),cryptorchidism with orchiopexy(OR=0.085,95%Cl:0.008-0.929),and idiopathic nonobstructive azoospermia(OR=0.031,95%Cl:0.003-0.277).The prediction model had an area under the curve of 0.720(95%Cl:0.645-0.794),sensitivity of 65.7%,specificity of 72.2%,Youden index of 0.379,and cut-off value of 0.305 overall,indicating good predictive value and *** model can assist clinicians and nonobstructive azoospermia patients in decision-making and avoiding negative micro-TESE results.

Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by the novel human coronavirus SARS-CoV-2,is currently a major threat to public health *** viral spike protein binds the host receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)via the receptor-binding domain(RBD),and thus is believed to be a major target to block viral *** SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV share this *** we functionally analyzed the key amino acid residues located within receptor binding motif of RBD that may interact with human ACE2 and available neutralizing *** in vivo experiments showed that immunization with either the SARS-CoV RBD or SARS-CoV-2 RBD was able to induce strong clade-specific neutralizing antibodies in mice;however,the cross-neutralizing activity was much weaker,indicating that there are distinct antigenic features in the RBDs of the two *** finding was confirmed with the available neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against SARS-CoV or *** is worth noting that a newly developed SARS-CoV-2 human antibody,HA001,was able to neutralize SARS-CoV-2,but failed to recognize ***,the potential epitope residues of HA001 were identified as A475 and F486 in the SARS-CoV-2 RBD,representing new binding sites for neutralizing ***,our study has revealed the presence of different key epitopes between SARS-CoV and SARSCoV-2,which indicates the necessity to develop new prophylactic vaccine and antibody drugs for specific control of the COVID-19 pandemic although the available agents obtained from the SARS-CoV study are unneglectable.

We report a tandem asymmetric Cu-catalyzed propargylic amination（ACPA）/Ag-catalyzed carboxylative cyclization（SCC）with CO2to 5-methylidene-2-oxazolidinones, even with tetrasubstituted stereocenters. By varying pyridine bisoxazoline（PYBOX） ligands, a general and highly enantioselective ACPA of unprecedentedly broad scope of secondary propargylic acetates and primary amines is achieved. Both α-aryl and α-aliphatic propargylic acetates could react with either aromatic or aliphatic primary amines to give the corresponding N-aryl or N-aliphatic ethynylamines with α-aliphatic or α-aryl groups in over 90% ee for use in the next step. The key to developing this one-pot sequence is to use a chelator triethylenetetramine（TETA） to mask the copper ion, to avoid its negative effect on Ag-catalyzed cyclization, whilst releasing PYBOX to activate the silver catalyst. With the methylidene moiety, these oxazolidinones can be readily elaborated. The value of the sequence is further shown by the catalytic enantioselective total synthesis of（–）-cytoxazone and the potent ezetimibe analogue.

Chiral drugs with two stereogenic centers have four stereoisomers belonging respectively to two pairs of enantiomers. Their separation by capillary electrophoresis(CE) involves enantioseparation in each pair of enantiomers and achiral separation between diastereoisomers. And two separation mechanisms,i.e. chromatographic effect from the selectivity of chiral selector and electrophoretic effect from the mobility difference of two enantiomeric pairs in water phase, work independently. The p H of separation media will affect the ionization degree of drugs and thus the separation of both mechanisms. It changes not only the resolutions of adjacent peaks but also the migration order of four stereoisomers. Therefore,the effect of p H on the separation and the optimization of p H are usually perplexed in the separation of chiral drugs with two stereogenic centers by CE. In this work, palonosetron hydrochloride(PALO) was selected as a mode drug. Their four stereoisomers, i.e. PALO(3a S, 2S), PALO(3a R, 2R), PALO(3a S,2R) and PALO(3a R, 2S), were separated by micellar electrokinetic chromatography(MEKC), one of important CE modes, using sodium cholate as chiral selector. A mathematical model depicting the partitioning of drugs in protonated ions and neutral molecules between water phase and micelles was proposed(Fig. 1). Equations to calculate the migration times of stereoisomers were derived. And related parameters for calculation were measured. Then the migration times of each stereoisomer at different p Hs were calculated by derived equations(Fig. 2). The results were in accord with the experiments(Fig.3). It suggests that the proposed mathematical model can be used to predict the enantioseparation results of chiral drugs with two stereogenic centers at different p Hs and to guide the development of new chiral CE method.

2022年是X射线衍射(XRD)发现的110周年。XRD Rietveld精修作为材料结构分析的重要手段,在建立材料“构–效”关系方面发挥着重要的作用。正极材料是锂离子电池的重要组成部分,深入理解其晶体结构及原子分布规律有助于推动锂离子电池正极材料的发展。本文简要介绍了XRD Rietveld结构精修及其在锂离子电池正极材料中的应用,围绕几类典型正极材料,重点讨论了Rietveld结构精修在正极材料的合成、退化衰减及结构改性中的应用和研究进展。XRD Rietveld精修可以得到物相比例、晶胞参数、关键原子占比、原子坐标等结构信息,对开发高性能锂离子电池正极材料具有重要的指导意义。最后,本文展望了X射线衍射技术在锂电正极材料结构研究中的机遇与挑战。

The newly emerged Omicron(B.1.1.529)variant of SARS-CoV-2 is quickly overtaking the Delta variant and becoming the dominant strain around the world due to its enhanced transmissibility and high immune escape potential[1,2].Compared to the Wuhan strain,the Omicron variant carries 37 spike mutations,of which 15 are within the receptor-binding domain(RBD)(Fig.1A).A high mutation rate is associated with remarkable resistance to current vaccines and RBD-specific antibody therapeutics[2,3,4].

体系(SoS)在遭受内部或外部的干扰时性能会受到影响,体系结构作为体系设计和构建的基础,其弹性不仅是反映体系性能恢复能力的一个重要指标,更是体系演化性的重要体现。提出了一种基于弹性的体系结构评价方法,对体系的组件或系统进行重要度分析(CIMs)。首先,给出了体系结构弹性的明确定义并构建了相关的数学模型,综合权衡了性能损耗与恢复时间对体系组件重要度的影响;其次,通过分析不同的干扰事件和恢复策略,构建了基于重要度分析的体系弹性优化模型,并重点分析了其对体系性能恢复的影响;最后,以某体系结构的弹性评价为例,对本文提出的模型和方法进行了验证,优化后的恢复策略使体系性能的恢复效率有显著的提高。
