Defect-rich titanium nitride nanoparticle with high microwaveacoustic conversion efficiency for thermoacoustic imaging-guided deep tumor therapy

Pulse microwave excite thermoacoustic(TA)shockwave to destroy tumor cells in situ.This has promising applications for precise tumor therapy in deep tissue.Nanoparticle(NP)with high microwave-acoustic conversion is the key to enhance the efficiency of therapy.In this study,we firstly developed defect-rich titanium nitride nanoparticles(TiN NPs)for pulse microwave excited thermoacoustic(MTA)therapy.Due to a large number of local structural defects and charge carriers,TiN NPs exhibit excellent electromagnetic absorption through the dual mechanisms of dielectric loss and resistive loss.With pulsed microwave irradiation,it efficiently converts the microwave energy into shockwave via thermocavitation effect,achieving localized mechanical damage of mitochondria in the tumor cell and yielding a precise antitumor effect.In addition to the therapeutic function,the NP-mediated TA process also generates images that provide valuable information,including tumor size,shape,and location for treatment planning and monitoring.The experimental results showed that the TiN NPs could be efficiently accumulated in the tumor via intravenous infusion.With the deep tissue penetration characteristics of microwave,the proposed TiN-mediated MTA therapy effectively and precisely cures tumors in deep tissue without any detectable side effects.The results indicated that defect-rich TiN NPs are promising candidates for tumor therapy.

硬度耦合刚度增强型软体夹持器设计研究

软体夹持器具有良好的顺应性、无损伤和安全的人机交互性能等优点,但由于其材料的特性限制,往往存在刚度不足和夹持力小等问题。文中基于传统的快速气动网络结构,提出了一种硬度耦合结构的刚度增强型软体夹持器的结构方案。首先,结合硅橡胶材料的Yeoh本构模型和静力平衡及虚功原理,建立了刚度增强型软体夹持器的运动学和力学模型,描述了夹持器手指弯曲角度和末端接触力与压强之间的关系;其次,运用ABAQUS软件对不同硬度结构的夹持器进行了有限元分析,制作了夹持器实体,搭建实验台测定了夹持器手指实际变形和末端接触力数据,并通过实际抓取对比试验验证了实际抓取效果。结果表明:相较于传统结构,硬度耦合结构在同为20 kPa的驱动气压下,弯曲角度最大可减小120°;极限压力下,末端接触力最大增加0.1 N;最优设计为05HA结构,抓取物的质量是传统型的3.42倍。

目的研究增强型体外反搏(enhanced external counter pulsation,EECP)疗法对典型冠脉血管病及微血管心绞痛的血流动力学影响。方法使用集中参数建模方法,建立包含导管动脉与心肌微循环的右优势型冠脉生理模型。分别仿真单支狭窄、三支狭窄及微血管心绞痛等病理情况。建立EECP干预模型,结合上述病理模型,仿真EECP对病理模型的血流动力学作用。结果建立的冠脉生理模型、病理模型及EECP干预模型仿真结果与相关文献中的实验数据相符合。EECP对3种病理情况都有改善冠脉血流的效果。对单支狭窄,EECP在左主干冠脉狭窄程度达到80%~85%之后便无法使血流恢复正常水平。对三支狭窄,若3条分支狭窄程度有1支超过90%,则无法使用EECP治疗。对微血管心绞痛,EECP有效的临界情况是充血心肌血流量>1.03 mL/(min·g)、冠状动脉血流储备>1.64。结论建立的EECP干预冠脉血管病模型符合预期,所获仿真数据对EECP的临床操作具有一定参考价值。

China has set up its ambitious carbon neutrality target,which mainly relies on significant energy-related carbon emissions reduction.As the largest important contributing sector,power sector must achieve energy transition,in which critical minerals will play an essential role.However,the potential supply and demand for these minerals are uncertain.This study aims to predict the cumulative demand for critical minerals in the power sector under different scenarios via dynamic material flow analysis(DMFA),including total demands,supplies and production capacities of different minerals.Then,these critical minerals are categorized into superior and scarce resources for further analysis so that more detailed results can be obtained.Results present that the total minerals supply will not meet the total minerals demand(74260 kt)in 2060.Serious resource shortages will occur for several key minerals,such as Cr,Cu,Mn,Ag,Te,Ga,and Co.In addition,the demand for renewable energy will be nearly fifty times higher than that of fossil fuels energy,implying more diversified demands for various minerals.Finally,several policy recommendations are proposed to help improve the overall resource efficiency,such as strategic reserves,material substitutions,and circular economy.

目的:分析某三甲医院2018年至2022年中年恶性肿瘤住院患者病种构成、年龄及变化趋势,为预防干预该年龄段恶性肿瘤提供依据。方法:通过病案管理系统和SQL语句,采集该医院2018年至2022年45岁至59岁恶性肿瘤住院患者共20097例,依据ICD-10类目分类汇总病种构成,分析年龄、性别分布及疾病变化趋势。结果:45岁至59岁年龄段恶性肿瘤住院患者占恶性肿瘤总住院患者比重呈上升趋势,排名前三位的恶性肿瘤病种为肺癌(17.41%)、甲状腺癌(10.75%)和胃癌(9.33%),前十位病种占比合计达69.62%,女性占比高于男性。多发恶性肿瘤病种随年龄变化有明显差异。结论:2018年至2022年45-59岁年龄段恶性肿瘤发病呈逐年上升趋势,进一步提高对该年龄段恶性肿瘤发病特征的认识,做好预防和诊治工作,是实施健康中国战略的重要环节之一。

To the Editor:With the extensive uptake of pertussis vaccine,morbidity and mortality related to pertussis have decreased significantly.The application of acellular vaccines(ACVs)occurred later in China than in developed countries;correspondingly,the pertussis resurgence in China also began later.The latest global genotype dynamic prediction model cannot explain the B.pertussis genotype change trend in China.[1]Chinese B.pertussis strains gradually formed their own unique developmental branches.[2]Here,a phylogenetic tree of prevailing B.pertussis strains from three different regions of China was visualized by EvolView(http://www.***.info/evolview.html).A total of 199 isolated B.pertussis strains were used for the phylogenetic analysis.The B.para-pertussis strain isolated from Tianjin was used as the out-group,and Chinese strain(CS),which is widely used as a vaccine strain for ACV production in China,was used as the reference strain.In particular,we analyzed the multilocus sequence typing(MLST)and macrolide-resistance-conferring gene mutations.

目的:观察微针注射胶原蛋白及氨甲环酸治疗黄褐斑的临床疗效。方法:选取武汉大学中南医院2023年3月-2023年4月收治的60例黄褐斑患者,采用随机数字表法分为两组。对照组采用微针注射氨甲环酸治疗,观察组给予微针注射胶原蛋白联合氨甲环酸治疗。统计两组治疗疗效,检测两组面部图像分析参数水平,并评估两组黄褐斑面积和严重指数(Melasma area and severity index,MASI)评分差异。结果:观察组临床总有效治疗率明显高于对照组(P0.05)。治疗后,两组L^(*)值均明显升高(P0.05),治疗后,两组MASI评分均降低(P<0.05),且观察组MASI评分低于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:微针注射胶原蛋白联合氨甲环酸治疗黄褐斑可改善患者色素沉着,提高治疗效果。

The T gene,which was cloned from the mitochondria of tumorous stem mustard(Brassica juncea var.tumida),is a cytoplasmic male sterility(CMS)-related gene that can produce two transcripts,T1170 and T1243.The latter is transcribed with the uncleaved intron TinII.In our previous study,transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana plants over-expressing the T1243 transcript(OE-T1243)showed a severe male-sterile phenotype,whereas OE-T1170 plants did not.However,the functional mechanism of the T gene in B.Juncea remained unknown.In this study,microscopic analyses of paraffin sections of anthers confirmed that OE-T1243 plants did not produce normal pollen,whereas OE-T1170 plants did.We analyzed the transcription of 15 anther development-related genes and found that transcript levels of nozzle/sporocyteless and barely any meristem 1 and 2 were markedly lower in OE-T1243 plants than those in wild type,while the transcript levels of these genes in OE-T1170 plants were unchanged.To investigate the potential roles of TinII,we inserted the TinII sequence upstream of a minimal region(60)of the cauliflower mosaic virus 35S promoter fused to the 5′end of theβ-glucuronidase(GUS)reporter gene.Analysis of the transgenic plants suggested that TinII acted as an enhancer to significantly increase GUS expression.The potential action mechanism is that the TinII intron acts as an enhancer to affect the function of the CMS-related gene T.

Robust Transceiver Optimization for Multi-Antenna Multi-Carrier Multi-Hop Communications

Multi-hop communications are becoming more and more important due to its flexibility and potential to improve communication coverage and quality. In this paper, we discuss the robust transceiver optimization for multi-hop amplify-and-forward multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems. In general, we consider a three-dimensional robust beamforming design, i.e.,frequency, spatial and relay domains. With inevitable channel estimation errors, in our work both weighted mean square error(MSE) minimization and minimizing maximum MSE are adopted as the performance metrics to design robust transceivers. Following the Bayesian robust philosophy, a robust transceiver design is proposed. The design is based on convex optimization, and the involved optimization variables are optimized alternatively. The proposed transceiver optimization algorithms can be applied to the network with arbitrary hops, arbitrary antennas and arbitrary subcarriers. At the end of this paper, the performance advantages of the propose design have been assessed by the numerical results.
