Microwave ablation combined with hepatectomy for treatment of neuroendocrine tumor liver metastases

DNA methylation is one important epigenetic type to play a vital role in many diseases including *** the development of the high-throughput sequencing technology,there is much progress to disclose the relations of DNA methylation with ***,the analyses of DNA methylation data are challenging due to the missing values caused by the limitations of current *** many methods have been developed to impute the missing values,these methods are mostly based on the correlations between individual samples,and thus are limited for the abnormal samples in *** this study,we present a novel transfer learning based neural network to impute missing DNA methylation data,namely the TDimpute-DNAmeth *** method learns common relations between DNA methylation from pan-cancer samples,and then fine-tunes the learned relations over each specific cancer type for imputing the missing *** on 16 cancer datasets,our method was shown to outperform other commonly-used *** analyses indicated that DNA methylation is related to cancer survival and thus can be used as a biomarker of cancer prognosis.

Chemical weathering in Manas River Basin:Driven by sulfuric acid or carbonic acid?

Carbonic acid produced by the dissolution of atmospheric and soil CO_(2)in water is usually the most dominant catalyst for chemical weathering,but a sulfuric aciddriven phenomenon,different from usual,was found in the orogenic belt watersheds dominated by silicate *** study,rooted in comprehensive field investigations in the Manas River Basin(MRB)north of the Tianshan Mountains,delves into the mechanisms and impacts of sulfuric and carbonic acid as catalysts driving diff erent types of chemical weathering in the Central Asian Orogenic *** analyses elucidate that carbonate weathering constitutes 52.4%of the total chemical weathering,while silicate and evaporite account for 18.6%and 25.3%,respectively,with anthropogenic activities and atmospheric precipitation having little eff *** estimated total chemical weathering rate in MRB is approximately 0.075×10^(6)mol/km^(2)/*** findings further suggest that,preceding carbonate precipitation(<10^(4)year),chemical weathering can absorb CO_(2).Subsequently,and following carbonate precipitation(10^(4)-10^(7)year),it will release CO_(2).The release significantly surpasses the global average CO_(2)consumption,contributing to a noteworthy climate *** study underscores the distinctive weathering mechanisms,wherein sulfuric acid emerges as the predominant *** quantity of sulfuric acid as a catalyst is approximately three times that of carbonic *** acid-driven carbonate rock weathering(SCW)is identified as the sole chemical weathering type with a net CO_(2)release eff *** CO_(2)release flux(5176 mol/km^(2)/year)is roughly 2.5 times the CO_(2)absorption by Ca-Mg silicate weathering,highlighting the pivotal role of chemical weathering in sourcing atmospheric CO_(2)over the timescales of carbonate precipitation and sulfate ***,this study posits that catalyst and transport limitations are the most plausible critical factors in *** interplay between s

Reversible Li plating regulation on graphite anode through a barium sulfate nanofibers-based dielectric separator for fast charging and high-safety lithium-ion battery

Poor Li plating reversibility and high thermal runaway risks are key challenges for fast charging lithiumion batteries with graphite ***,a dielectric and fire-resistant separator based on hybrid nanofibers of barium sulfate（BS） and bacterial cellulose（BC） is developed to synchronously enhance the battery's fast charging and thermal-safety *** regulation mechanism of the dielectric BS/BC separator in enhancing the Li+ion transport and Li plating reversibility is revealed.（1） The Max-Wagner polarization electric field of the dielectric BS/BC separator can accelerate the desolvation of solvated Li+ions,enhancing their transport kinetics.（2） Moreover,due to the charge balancing effect,the dielectric BS/BC separator homogenizes the electric field/Li+ion flux at the graphite anode-separator interface,facilitating uniform Li plating and suppressing Li dendrite ***,the fast-charge graphite anode with the BS/BC separator shows higher Coulombic efficiency（99.0% vs.96.9%） and longer cycling lifespan（100 cycles vs.59 cycles） than that with the polypropylene（PP） separator in the constantlithiation cycling test at 2 mA *** high-loading LiFePO4(15.5 mg cm-2)//graphite(7.5 mg cm-2) full cell with the BS/BC separator exhibits excellent fast charging performance,retaining 70% of its capacity after 500 cycles at a high rate of 2C,which is significantly better than that of the cell with the PP separator（retaining only 27% of its capacity after 500 cycles）.More importantly,the thermally stable BS/BC separator effectively elevates the critical temperature and reduces the heat release rate during thermal runaway,thereby significantly enhancing the battery's safety.

Activation of extracellular signal-related kinases 1 and 2 in Sertoli cells in experimentally cryptorchid rhesus monkeys

Aim： To assess the spatiotemporal changes in the expression of extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2 （ERK1/ 2）, c-Jun N-terminal kinases （JNK） and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases （MAPK） in response to heat stress in the cryptorchid testis, and to investigate a possible relation to Sertoli cell dedifferentiation. Methods： Immunohistochemistry and western blot were used to examine the expression and activation of ERK1/2, p38 and JNK in the cryptorchid testis at various stages after experimental cryptorchidism. Results： The abdominal temperature did not obviously change the total ERK1/2 expression but significantly activated phospho-ERK1/2 in the Sertoli cells of the cryptorchid testis. Heat stress increased total JNK expression in the Sertoli cells of the cryptorchid testis but did not activate phospho-JNK. Neither total p38 nor phospho-p38 was induced by heat stress in the Sertoli cells of the cryptorchid testis. Changes in the spatiotemporal expression of cytokeratin 18 （CK18）, a marker of immature or undifferentiated Sertoli cells, were induced in the cryptorchid testis in a pattern similar to the activation of ERK1/2. Condusion： The activation of ERK1/2 in the testis may be related to dedifferentiation of Sertoli cells under heat stress induced by experimental cryptorchidism.
